Alfred:
Hello everyone, this is GUIDANCE FOR YOUR LIFE. Speaking to you is the Padawan Learner Alfred and I'm with the Modern Day Mystic himself. We're broadcasting from Asheville, North Carolina. We're back from our extended stay south of the border and we're back in beautiful mountain country. And speaking of Asheville, North Carolina, we'll be giving you more information about this soon, we'll be attending a local Psychic Fair that's being put on by a good friend of ours and we're ever so grateful that she is. But you can join us on July 12 at the Masonic Temple in Asheville, North Carolina to join Hans, myself as well as about 20 other spiritual practitioners from the local area. So if you're around Asheville, stop by and see us. We'll be posting information to Facebook about where it is, or if you would like more information of course just shoot us an email through the website or you can find more information on our Facebook page. So without further ado, to present the spiritual opinion of "What is Karmic Debt", I present to you the Modern Day Mystic himself - Hans Christian King.

Hans:
Good afternoon everybody. Wonderful to be back in North Carolina. The weather's beautiful, my peonies are blooming, my roses are out, the trees are beautiful. A lot of water here in these mountains because of a pretty intense set of thunderstorms that went through earlier in the week but that just makes things grow and once again we're very happy to be back. "Karmic Debt" - oh gosh doesn't that sound terrible? I can't tell you the hundreds and hundreds of times that in working with people somebody would say to me: Well I must have done something wrong in another lifetime. All my life is about Karmic Debt. Nothing I ever try ever works. No relationship ever works. My jobs don't work. What is it that has happened? I want to first of all make something extremely clear about Karmic Debt. Karmic Debt will never under any circumstances destroy your original goals that you have set forward for yourself. You, your Guides, your Master, your Angels, you still have a plan. You still can make your life work. But you will face obstacles. Always some kind of an obstacle. When you think: Alright, I think the Karmic Debt I'm paying feels like this, you can say to Spirit: I think I'm learning what this is about. Please present me with more doors on this issue that I might discover more about where I need to be with this. But Karmic Debt sounds so terrible. It's like going to the DMV going to get your Driver's License and the years have gone by and you take the eye test and they say: You know your eyes are not as good as they used to be. And they say: Well, we're going to give you a Driver's License but it'll be provisional. You will have to wear glasses or you cannot drive at night. It's something like that. It doesn't stop you from getting where you want to go - where your heart's desire is. But there is a major obstacle. We have also in Karmic Debt, Karmic Debt with individuals. I'm going to stop right there and ask Alfred to come forward on that subject. I know he himself has had a karmic relationship with various family members and personal friends throughout the years. Alfred how does this Karmic Debt appear to you?

Alfred:
Karmic Debt, I have to completely agree, sounds more ominous than it really is.

Hans:
(Laughing) Yes it does.

Alfred:
It's all about interaction and relationships. We'll take an example I was talking about in the Karmic Credit section. Say there was someone in a past life who did something really, really good for you. Say they helped you out with a job. You really needed a job and this person went way out of their way to help you and it really just changed your entire life. It put you on a job path and a career and your life was much better because of it. And you go back to the Other Side and said: Wow man thanks, that was really cool. I really appreciate what you did for me in a prior life. I see that you're on a blazing career path in this next life, I'd like to be able to help you. But it's, I have agreed to give you some karma. It's not necessarily a debt, but I'm repaying you for how you helped me. But it a choice. It's always a choice. It always follows the law of free will.

Hans:
Alfred, just for once second when did you first realize that you might have some Karmic Debt with another individual?

Alfred:
When you just say: I really need to help this person. I don't know why, but I really should.

Hans:
Karmic Debt and families - this is a subject that we have approached before in our many radio shows. There are times in our life when family members may present us with great challenges and we wonder what did we ever do to deserve this kind of a challenge. What we don't know is it may be a little bit of karmic payback time. Perhaps in a previous time you were a little bit of a schmuck, not the kindest person, nicest person, and let's say you intentionally visited upon you.

Alfred:
That's a really good way to put it. To say that you really weren't so nice to a certain person or a certain group of people. And you go back up to the Other Side and you review your life and you say: Ewh, I wasn't very nice to those people...

Hans:
Exactly.

Alfred:
...I really should do something to reverse the karma in that situation because by being not so nice of a person you created negative karma.

Hans:
Yes, exactly.

Alfred:
And you go back to the Other Side and say: Aah, I want to go back and reverse that negative karma, put some positive karma. So the Karmic Debt in this case, as commonly referred to, is simply - you made an agreement with the universe to help add some positive light, some positive energy, some positive karma in the next life where you created negative karma in the previous life.

Hans:
Right.

Alfred:
So you're trying in the next life to balance what you did and that's commonly referred to as negative karma but again we're looking at the situation you volunteered to do that.

Hans:
Alfred it comes down to a balance doesn't it?

Alfred:
It is. So it's not that somebody or the universe holds your foot to the fire and says: You must do this. No, it's that you agreed as always to these lessons. You agreed to these experiences. You agreed to provide some good karma in a certain way.

Hans:
Very, very well put. Alfred also there are times when we are not aware of Karmic Debt. Where we become victims. Our little child inside of us hurts because somebody says something or hurts because something that we're trying to put together, something we really want to do simply doesn't pan out. And we keep trying and no matter what we do it doesn't pan out. That Karmic Debt that's causing that will not last if you learn not to be a victim of the appearance of it and simply say to Spirit: I understand why this has happened. I understand why I'm being kept from this. At some point I must have done something to deserve this. I apologize for this. I choose to not live in this old reality anymore and I make myself available to learn that lesson. I bless that person, I bless that situation.  And I rise above it. You start at that point basically to unravel the negative energy attached to the Karmic Debt. You see? But life is so constructed on the human scene, especially in the western world, that we believe we must have been a bad person. I want to talk about something called "money", okay? There's a nice interesting thing. Alfred's turned around in his chair. Money. Sometimes, sometimes during our life we go through financial crises and we wonder what we could have done that God would be so angry with us. What could have happened that kept us from being in a loving, safe environment and what kept us from having the abundance we thought we were entitled to have. What did we do wrong? If we stop for just a moment and remember: That everything in life has a corresponding opposite. We will realize that: Yes, there may be some Karmic Debt going on around finances but you will be brought through this situation and that no Karmic Debt will allow you to not move forward, none. Some will stop you momentarily...absolutely. Every once in a while when something goes awry, I find myself saying: Hmm...Okay, what's in this for me today? What did I do? I'm willing to look at it and I make fun of it as best I can and I prepare myself to rise above it and move on. But it does stop you. And sometimes some dreams, some goals, some longings in the heart, sometimes those are put on hold for just a little bit. But if we don't become a victim...send $10 here, $15 there you will pay them down and you will eventually pay them off. And then you will say: Hmm, won't do that again. You see what I'm saying folks? Whenever the appearance of Karmic Debt in your life occurs, stop for a moment and say to yourself: This has nothing to do with who I am. This must have something to do with how I behaved in a previous time. I choose to see the light in this and I thank you for the lesson. And that's very hard to do folks if you lose your house or you lose your job. Life moves on and nothing remains the same and if you use Karmic Debt as stepping stones you will walk yourself out of it and into your Karmic Credit. Because the other side of Karmic Debt, is last week's show, Karmic Credit. Alfred, anything on that bit of wisdom that Spirit gave us?

Alfred:
Yes, that's a really tough one for some people is to sit in the moment with the realization that whatever you're going through there's a distinct possibility you asked to go through it.

Hans:
Absolutely.

Alfred:
Simply to go through the experience. We'll just say for example...oh, we'll pick a really bad one: You were a slum lord...

Hans:
(Laughing) You brought this up a couple of weeks ago. Were you a slum lord Alfred?

Alfred:
Maybe I was. And you treated your tenants really... you asked for certain lessons but what we're trying to explain is you asked to visit that experience.

Hans:
Yes.

Alfred:
As with all of your life, you asked to visit those experiences. Whether those experiences were for lessons or for fun or for love or for relationships...

Hans:
In other words, it's not by accident it's by design.

Alfred:
So your job is not to believe the illusion that God has it out for you. It's to simply go with the flow and say: Wow, okay I feel what it's like to be in that situation. I understand what it's like to let go to look for a house. I trust and believe there is a purpose now God could you please find me a place to live.

Hans:
Yes.

Alfred:
So you're rolling with the punches, you're going with the flow and understanding there's a larger purpose for certain experiences. How does that one work Hans?

Hans:
Very, very, very good Alfred. Very good. Folks, let's talk about something that I hear a lot from my clients throughout the years - Why does God punish? Why does Spirit punish? Folks, what kind of a god are you praying to? God doesn't punish. Spirit doesn't punish. Everything that is in your life is what came out of your consciousness. Well, why doesn't God rescue me? God is rescuing you but under karmic law you must balance between your lives. You must balance from one life to the next life you must balance out. The dharma as we spoke before in this lifetime for this lifetime but you also enhance it for the next lifetime. You're on buddy.

Alfred:
So the whole gist of all of this is to help everyone understand that the term "Karmic Debt"... take it a little more loosely to understand that there was something that happened and whether it's visited in the same life or it's visited in a subsequent life it's meant to "balance". All in the universe is about balance, all about nature is about balance, all about karma is about balance. But again it is not a steadfast law that God has a stick and says: You were a bad person. You did a bad thing. Thus you “must” balance out the negative karma that you created. No, it's up to your soul to recognize that. And there is a possibility for example in this lifetime. Think about Scrooge, for example. In the first part of Scrooge's life he was quite stingy...

Hans:
Scroogy.

Alfred:
Scroogy. Okay? And he created a bunch of shall we say negative karma. But after he was visited by the ghost he said: Aah, maybe I can be nice in this lifetime.

Hans:
Yes, exactly.

Alfred:
Okay. So you don't have to wait to repay negative karma. You can actually wake up mid-life and say: Oh, I have resources. I have time. I have love. I can volunteer. I can do something to balance out that karma in this lifetime. Just like Scrooge, he woke up and what is he doing? Buying a turkey.

Hans:
And he was an elderly man and he still made an effort. That's the key. So don't worry about your age, just worry about your consciousness.

Alfred:
Yes. So it's not something again that needs to be revisited. The whole point is that it is a "choice" - such as everything in the law of free will. It is a choice for you to go back and look at the negative karma that was previously created. So that really doesn't describe a Debt, that just says: Look who I am. I've changed.

Hans:
Yes. And letting Spirit know that you are aware that you're not a victim. This is sort of payback time. Thank them for their support. Thank them for bringing clarity to you. You're going to find that it feels like a weight is lifted off of you. So in your darkest of moments when you think you are loaded with a Karmic Debt and you don't have any Karmic Credit and God doesn't love you and Spirit's not speaking to you... No matter what it looks like, say: Thank you for helping me to see past my mind chatter and past the illusion that my mind is creating about this issue. You notice that every time we sign off on the radio show Spirit says one wonderful thing to you. Remember that? "Remember that God does not love anyone more in this world than you.” Which means that even though you may have been born with some Karmic Debt you are equal of the eyes of the Other Side. Folks I learned 50 years ago that who someone is and their behavior are two different things. And the Spirit sees who we are not our behavior. Sometimes our behavior makes them a little crazy because they'll often say: I thought she got that one. I thought he understood it. Well, we'd better change the game plan to help them to learn it. You have so much love on a daily basis. It surrounds you. It welcomes you in.

Alfred:
As we teach in the Automatic Writing Class and the Channeling Class is Spirit guides you through how you feel. So if you feel for example you should volunteer at a soup line, if you feel you should just help someone, if you feel like you should just do something - then go with that feeling because that's a possibility that you asked for that experience. And you're saying: Well what's in it for me? Well that's human - that's mind chatter. As with all things Spirit guides us to that which we asked to experience. We may not understand why we asked to experience. Our job is to listen and go where our heart directs us. So Spirit may be guiding us to repay a Karmic Debt, add some karma in a specific area to visit a certain experience that we may not particularly like but that we asked them to guide us to so that we could feel what it's like being on the other end of the stick. Because maybe we treated somebody bad on that end of the stick and said: You know what I really want to be...one of the families and he has a really hard boss who treated him the way he was treated...the way he treated his employees. Now he has two choices: As that poor employee in the second life. Either he could just say: Yeah, this is where I'm supposed to be and thank God that I'm alive to experience that which I asked to experience or to get mad at God wondering why God is punishing him with such a horrible boss.

Hans:
Yes.

Alfred:
And the reality is Scrooge came down and said: You know what? I want to learn the lesson of what it's like to feel like the people that I treated and what it was like for them.

Hans:
Very, very good example.

Alfred:
Okay? So you're not being held back because you don't have money. You're not being held back because your boss is crazy. Maybe it's just as simple as you asked the universe for those experiences.

Hans:
That's correct. And we did. Alright Alfred I think that will conclude the lesson for today. I thank you for your participation.

Hans:
Yes, I think so.

Alfred:
Okay. So today's topic again is "Karmic Credit" and who better to explain the way Karmic Credit works than the man with the most Karmic Credit in the Universe - the Modern Day Mystic himself - Hans Christian King!

Hans:
Oh boy, I have that much Karmic Credit Alfred? Wow!

Alfred:
Yes, you got to take care of me.

Hans:
Well now therein lies some truth. Now Hi everybody, welcome on board. It's great to be with you today. How do we earn Karmic Credit? This has been presented to us by one of our listeners and I think it's a great topic. Karmic Credit comes about when over many lifetimes we have learned spiritual principles and we have applied spiritual principles rather than mind chatter to our then lives. And after awhile we build up more Karmic Credit than Karmic Debt, which we'll probably going to discuss next week. I'm just informing Alfred of this now.

Alfred:
Oh, thanks Hans.

Hans:
And so we build up a Karmic Credit which means: good deeds, decent thoughts, wishing people well, not setting out to hurt anybody, seeing if someone needs something we lend a hand, sending loving and kind thoughts to people... It doesn't mean you have to be hairy fairy but it does mean living a clean spiritual life. After awhile we build up Karmic Credit. You may have noticed in your life there are some people that no matter what they do or what they touch it turns to gold. Those people have an abundance of Karmic Credit. Okay? So when we arrive here on this plane our bag is sort of two-thirds full of Karmic Credit and we can use that Karmic Credit. Now we don't "know that" but people who have good Karmic Credit seem to be able to get through the most difficult of times. All of you, have you ever noticed that no matter how bad something gets you somehow manage to get through and come out the other side and you usually come out better than you thought? That means that you have some Karmic Credit. Yes, we bring Karmic... I repeat myself, but yes we bring Karmic Credit in with us when we arrive as we bring Karmic Debt. Someone once asked me: Do we every come in fairly balanced...sort of half and half? Oftentimes, oftentimes. But mostly it's one or the other. Most old souls that I've had the pleasure to have known throughout my many years of service have had what I call "Good Karmic Credit". It means that they...even when they are struggling...see folks, it doesn't mean you don't get hit with stuff. What it means is that you're able to handle the stuff you get hit with. Alfred would you like to pop in here for a moment?

Alfred:
Oh, absolutely. I'd like to take an example of something that happened to me and then tell everybody how that relates to where Karmic Credit comes from. I was flying around the world in banking and one of my offices was in Amsterdam. Which I don't think was very constructive but we had a really good time. Anyway, there was a guy that I was working with and for some reason I just knew I should take this guy under my wing and train him. And eventually I took him out of the Amsterdam branch and took him to Corporate Headquarters in Frankfurt. And eventually he became one of the youngest Vice Presidents in the history of Deutscha Bank in banking because I had trained him and brought him up myself and when I left and decided to go back to the States, he was molded to come into my position. For some reason I just knew I should do that for him and I had no idea why, it just "felt right". Now where does that come from? Where would that have been arranged on the Other Side so that the Other Side would have supported that energy? So say...we'll call him Frank. Frank and I are soul mates, we're on the Other Side and Frank comes to me with his life plan and says: Hey, I helped you out on a prior life. I'd like to have this experience. I see in your life that we're going to intersect eventually. Could I request you and everybody else to coordinate that you help me in this lifetime to balance out the Karmic Credit that I gave you and that you would return the Karmic Credit to me? And that's all all spiritual is is about "balance". So if he had done something good for me I would be inclined to do something good for him. So that's where it starts out is those agreements on the Other Side. God approves us, we get stamped on the forehead, poof we arrive, and we bump into each other as soul mates and the Other Side coordinates our requests by telling us: Yes, this is correct. So that is the essence of Karma. Okay? And we're talking about positive Karma, Good Karma, Karmic Credit...so in that situation because in a prior life Frank had done something good for me he had Karmic Credit which in turn he could cash in and ask a favor from me which I would say: Oh, of course. Absolutely. That just sounds really nice. How's that for a story Hans?

Hans:
Very good, very good. Proof itself. Remember we also build up a natural reservoir of Karmic Credit. If through nothing else but positive thinking followed by positive deeds. We have soul mate friends, which as Alfred's referring to the Frank Person, we have those different people who are programmed to come into our life to give us a hand, to give us a lift when there's nothing else available, they suddenly show up and they help change our life as we have done for them. However on your daily path in life, in an everyday world, you build up Karmic Credit and that Credit is revisited to the next lifetime automatically. Where does it come in? Let's say someone says: I would like the experience of living in Fiji for a year. Now there's a wonderful thought. I would like the experience of living in Fiji for a year but I have no idea how that will ever happen, But I'm going to take my request, you see, and give it to the Spirit. Now when you do that and you take the request and you give it to the Spirit, they know how much Karmic Credit or Karmic Debt you have and normally if you have Karmic Credit they are able to make that occurrence happen much sooner than you could on your own. Now I want to clarify something. Even if you had Karmic Debt they would still make the experience happen but it would take longer to arrive at that point. So when you build up the Karmic Credit and you don't even know you have it and you begin to dream and wish and hope, those become quite doable as far as Spirit is concerned. You see? So arriving here with Karmic Credit makes your life a little easier. Now I'd like to talk, just for a second here Alfred, about "ongoing Karmic Credit", okay? Which means that all the deeds you do everyday, all the thoughts you think everyday are building up a reserve of either Karmic Credit or Karmic Debt. So if you have a mind chatter that speaks to being peaceful, balanced, it speaks to helping others or sending happy thoughts to others, you can continue to multiply the volume of Karmic Credit that you have available to you in "this lifetime" as well. The extra, or the abundance of that when you pass back will be put in the karmic sack that you'll bring back in "next time". Any comments on that Alfred?

Alfred:
Yes and that's one of the main question is: How do you earn Karmic Credit? And it's quite simple. It's if you do good deeds, if you have good thoughts, if you have good intentions...it doesn't necessarily mean, as Hans has said a million times that you actually "do" or "follow through" or "what you intend to happen does happen"...if it does great, if it doesn't...but that was my intention was to help. For every time that you do that, that builds up Karmic Credit. Okay? Now like everything that Spirit reviews with us when we're on the Other Side it's how did you interact or have good intention with an individual's soul. And that individual's soul will come back to you as in my previous example and say: Ah, you did something good for me. I'm available to do something good for you. Again that's in the next lifetime but I'm trying to simplify the example to help you understand what is Karmic Credit and how does it come back “to” you. So say you were good to a hundred people. Well, I would say the majority of those people are going to visit with you and have a meeting with you on the Other Side and say: Hey, thank you so much for being so cool, having a good intention, praying for me, helping for me...whatever you did, I'd like to return the Karma back “to you”. Thus you'd come back in the next lifetime and say: Wow, Wow am I so blessed! Probably because you were such a good person in a prior lifetime. And that actually reminds me, Hinduism, when someone dies and passes back to the Other Side and they were “good” they actually hold a celebration because they know that that person if they were good has a bunch of Karma and they're going to come back and have a wonderful life next time. I remember that specifically. So that's the fundamentals of how to earn Karmic Credit and that if you earn Karmic Credit in one lifetime by being good then you bring it in with you in the next lifetime and it turns into people returning the Karma. See again - life is all about spirituality. Spiritual Life, Spiritual Energy is all about “balance:, okay? How does that sound Hans?

Hans:
Excellent Alfred excellent. Funny, funny topic Karmic Credit. It makes people kind of giggle because they don't really understand exactly what it means. But remember: We are the sum total of all of our thoughts”. What we put out in our thinking pattern is already returning to us in like kind. These things that we have tried to teach you for lo these many years, when you put them together form a tapestry that when held to the light is really quite beautiful. We all have moments...we all have moments when we have an off day. The other day I had to go the the Dentist or as they call them here Dentista. And he's a wonderful dentist and people come from all over the world come to see him and he's kindness itself, he's a really great dentist. But I had had some very difficult situations where I had to have some teeth removed and because my roots had grow into my jaw bone it's not easy to get them out. I have to have some implants put in. So I built up all of this pre-set, not so much fear but resentment that I had to go...uncertainty about the outcome. And I heard my mind chatter just running a mile a minute. And I have to tell all of you Alfred stepped in and was a great help to me...Bella was a great help to me...my friend Melinda was a great help to me. But I'm looking at an awful lot of dental work to be done. My mother had to do it, my grandmother had to do it, we all have the same sort of situation. So, what happened? Well yesterday we went to the Dentist but we were 2 hours early. So we had to come back and I had to go through all of the fussing again. And I caught myself saying: Time to practice principle, time to practice principle. So I want you to all know that I made it through the Dentist, I got the teeth extracted and then I will have implants put in there. And it wasn't anywhere near as bad as I thought it was going to be because the person who removed the other tooth was a regular Dentist and this was an Oral Surgeon. So it was much, much different. So the worst of my fears did not come true. And I heard Guidance say to me: It is because you have so much Karmic Credit, don't worry you'll be fine. When you all begin to understand that...that at your darkest moments when things just seem like eek how am I going to get through this...the Spirit is there to pull out of its bag your Karmic Credit to help you through, okay? And even if, and we'll talk about this next week, even if there's a little more Karmic Debt than Karmic Credit remember this is an incredible opportunity right now to balance the scale by switching out of negative thinking into positive thinking. Big difference there. So you literally can move this in your lifetime from the negative to the positive certainly working on that agenda, alright? So Karmic Credit in this lifetime Alfred is usable in this lifetime. You got that?

Alfred:
Yes and that's a little bit of a twist on Karmic Credit. It doesn't necessarily need to be used with another soul who's incarnated. You could have been a generally good person and you could ask the Other Side - those souls who are not incarnated - ask your Guidance to use some of your Karmic Credit to help you through issues in this side. Okay? Karmic Credit is basically you've been a good person, you've done a bunch of good deeds and whether the souls are incarnated or not incarnated they say: Ah, okay well let's return some of the goodness that you've done back to you. And yes, you can use that within the same lifetime.

Hans:
Very good Alfred, very good. Here's an interesting question that somebody wrote in Alfred - Can we run out of Karmic Credit? Folks, that would be very, very, very  difficult to do because even if you're in a difficult space, even if you're using too much anger or resentment, even if you're adding more to your Karmic Debt everyday than your Karmic Credit you are still at some point in the day, some point in the week, adding Karmic Credit to the matter. So can you run out of Karmic Credit? You'd have to be a very special person to accomplish that fact. So I'm going to say no, the answer is no to that. Now remember the more good that you do...now it doesn't mean you have to run out and you know be a do gooder. I don't mean that because thoughts are living things children. So the more positive... For instance, if you're on a bus and you're going down the street a you see a gentleman sitting on a piece of cardboard, really down on his luck, a moment of positive thinking saying: Please God bring to that man all he needs to learn whatever lesson there is and please help him to eat today. That one thought, that fast moves you ahead in Karmic Credit. And the more positive things that you say... I saw a very, very elderly woman the other day being helped by her grandson across the street and I would estimate she was in her early 80's and very, very frail. I immediately went to them both in consciousness and said: Please bring to her all that she needs to operate at this time in her life to her highest good to, his highest good. Bless them. Surround them in light. Now I didn't do that because I had to think to do it. It's a naturalness that comes and you can all get into that place that you're operating in the light, in Karmic Credit by just viewing things in a little bit different way. That's the key, okay?

Alfred:
One of our little teachings that I just want to help the people understand Karma and especially Karmic Credit is that when you do good things please do not have an expectation of what is coming back. Please do not have the thought to say: I am doing this to build Karmic Credit. No. One of the basic teachings we've always said over and over again is when you do something do not have an expectation of anything coming back in return. Just do good things for the sake of doing good things. As we've mentioned a couple of weeks ago when we were talking about Karma and Dharma - Karma is simply the Universe's way to record deeds and thoughts and energy. So if you are being good you can basically understand: Yes, the Universe is recording that. But you are being good because of the quality of your soul...

Hans:
That is correct Alfred.

Alfred:
...that is why you do good things.

Hans:
Because you've shifted into that state of mind.

Alfred:
Because your character, the character of your soul is: I am a good person. I am of service. And that's it. That's who I am, period. I am a good person doing good things because it makes me feel good. Okay, see how simple and clean that is? And then you let go of how the Universe records it. You let go of the fact that you're gaining Karmic Credit or anything like that... We're just telling you what happens behind the scenes.

Hans:
Well Alfred let me point out a quick one here. They're building a new palapa here, a thatched palapa for the pool. And it was a hot day yesterday and there was rain in the air and it was really, really humid and I said to Alfred as I went by the window: Oh, those poor guys. He didn't hesitate an inch. He immediately went to the refrigerator. We keep bottles of Coca-Cola in the refrigerator, which I believe to be the national drink of Mexico, and he picked up 5 of them and he immediately went outside and gave each boy a Coke. Now he didn't think about that. That was an automatic response that was needed. That's what we're talking about. Don't be proud of yourself that you're doing a good deed because that means you're having to make them up. Know in your heart you already do good deeds because they flow through you as an action of God. Okay? Alrighty Mr. Alfred I think that concludes the lesson for today. And do we have any questions for today Alfred?

Alfred:
We absolutely do have questions. But one thing I forgot to announce is we are  accepting show topics. I finally put a link on the Radio Show page and I believe we also post links to Facebook. If you have a show topic that you'd like us to talk about, please send us a message on Facebook with your show topic and we will announce that we're reading your show topic and directing it at you. Such as we did last week for Kelly about Self Esteem. This week topic came from Teri in Florida. So if you have a topic you'd like us to talk about send us a message through HansKing.com, send us a message through Facebook and we'll let you know if we're going to use it. So this is the time of the show that we finish with our Spiritual Teaching and move on to answering Member Questions. You do not need to be a member but if you do want to be a member or find out about being a Spiritual Circle Member you can go to HansKing.com and under Spiritual Community you can look at the member benefits that you would get by being a member and how much it is for monthly dues for being a member. We're every so grateful for our members - believe me we are - for helping support the show and we're grateful for them to help us help others who listen to the show around the world. You can just look at the bottom of the Radio Show page and see how many people around the world have sent in quotes how the show has helped them. And we thank our members for supporting us, for supporting those people. So by your monthly dues you're earning Good Karma. Right Hans?

Hans:
Absolutely Alfred.

Alfred:
Aha! Become a member and earn Good Karma!

Hans:
I think that's called emotional blackmail Alfred.

Alfred:

Laughing... And you get a lot of good benefits for yourself. You get to send in a question that we read on Air and answer, not just for you but for anyone else who listens.

Topic: The Lesson of Self Esteem
May 10, 2014

Alfred:
Hello everyone and welcome to GUIDANCE FOR YOUR LIFE. Again this is Alfred, the Padawan Learner to the Modern Day Mystic himself, Hans Christian King whose right with me in the studio. Today's topic comes from one of our Spiritual Circle Members. And as we've been posting to Facebook we're taking your topics that you can send in and if we happen to use your topic then you can put something about how this lesson affects you personally. So this topic is coming from Kelly in Toronto, Canada one of our longtime members and we hope to be able to help him on "The Lesson of Self Esteem". Now Kelly writes in that Hans has spoken often about the lesson of self esteem and sometimes Kelly seems to get it and sometimes Kelly seems to feels like it's eluding him. So to further expand upon the lesson of self esteem I present to you the Modern Day Mystic himself, Hans Christian King.

Hans:
And hello everyone. How wonderful to be back with you. It's a beautiful, beautiful day today. This particular lesson of self esteem is presented to me almost every day that I work. There are so many older souls in this world and as you've often heard me say: The primary lesson of older souls is self esteem or the value of their own soul. This sounds so simple but it is very, very complex. Self esteem is about knowing who you are, why you are, and where you are, and making all of the above perfect. In other words making it okay. Oftentimes we work on the self esteem issue and we say: Ah...like Kelly says: I got it. Okay, I got it. And we live for a moment in bliss and say: Ah, thank goodness I've learned this lesson. But deep inside there's a little green meanie that continues to elude us and hides from us and it moves around and then it jumps out at us and grabs us once again and says: Ha ha, I gotcha! What do we do when then happens? What is the true definition of self esteem? To me self esteem means knowing again who you are, having a connection with Spirit that says I am the Spirit in human form therefore I am perfect at all times. The series that I did "You Are Enough" with the Spirit pointed out that there was nothing you could do that would ever make you better than who you already are. Alfred I'd like to bring you in here for a second on this as I know this is a lesson that you are confronted with or have been confronted with in the past and many of your clients are working with their self esteem. How do you approach your own self esteem? How did it begin to change for you?

Alfred:
Well as we love to do Hans so many times is we take everyday issues that our students and listeners are dealing with such as self esteem and help them understand it from a spiritual perspective. Shall we say the ordinary every day way of looking at self esteem is: How do you think about yourself, how do you feel about yourself? And what we try to do is help people understand self esteem from a spiritual perspective and that's what Hans was talking about. I'm sure there are Psychiatrists who try to deal with people's self esteem and a lot of other ways. We deal with it from a spiritual perspective. And the way I like to present self esteem is quite simple: You are perfect. You are love. You are everything you could possibly need already. What clouds your vision, what clouds your perception, your opinion of yourself is your humanness. It could be trauma, it could be other people's opinions. All of these things week after week after week, product after product that we help you understand have nothing to do with the perfect soul that you are. How's that Hans?

Hans:
Well that's very, very good. You know Alfred for so many people, me included, you included, in your childhood you were made to understand you just weren't quite good enough. That if you just did this you'd be better or why aren't you like so and so? So and so has the perfect son or the perfect daughter, you should strive to be like that, or be like them. You see people who get straight A's and you want to emulate them because you know they're better than you are. You see we're taught that performance can make you better. The truth of the matter is Spirit never looks at the performance. Totally irrelevant to the Spirit. They only look at the person in the moment - are they peaceful, do they love themselves, what is their intention, are they happy? Coming to grips with your own reality that says: I am enough. I don't need to be anything else. I don't need to do anything else. I am already perfect for my God. Sitting in that place Alfred begins to open doors for you that the mind chatter has blocked for years. The mind chatter reminding you once again that you're not quite good enough. Now Alfred I know that you went through some of this, early days in your life. What do you think was the defining moment where you began to see - maybe I am enough?

Alfred:
There's so many things that cloud our vision of the truth that we are a soul having a human experience and that soul is connected to the perfect universe, the universal energy, God and that's all you need. But it is our humanness that blocks our perception of it and changes our perception of us because we start believing commercials, family, friends...we start believing what happened in our past, we start believing trauma instead of just the simple truth of: Oh, I'm just borrowing this body for this go around to happen to have some certain experiences and the body's going to go away and I'm going to go back to being a perfect soul and I'm going to get another body. It is only after you go through all of the spiritual lessons that we're talking about - about letting go of ego, being in the now, letting go of the past, everybody knows all of the inner work that we talk about that you come down to the simple realization that you're a soul using the body to have certain experiences.

Hans:
Yes.

Alfred:
And it becomes that simple and you say: Oh, wasn't this a nice ride. There is nothing to critique. There is nothing to worry about. As Hans says it's not what other people say that matters, it's what you think about what other people say that matters. Those types of lessons have absolutely nothing to do with you and once you get through all of the lessons that we talk about all that's left is just you,  the soul. That's how I got through it Hans.

Hans:
Wonderful. I'd like to address this to Kelly who's a dear friend. Kelly when was the last time that the mind chatter told you how wonderful you are and that you already were perfect and that God loved you just the way you are and you needed not to worry about what other people thought of you, what other people said of you. When was the last time that you could sit and be peaceful and just know that your God already loves you. In part of the "You Are Enough" Series, the Spirit says: What if you woke up tomorrow and found out that just who you are in this moment was enough for God? There was nothing you needed to do, nowhere you needed to go, nothing you needed to accomplish, that you could not be better than who you already are and who you are was equal to anyone else in the universe. Now there's...I remember doing The Alan Cohen Show and Allen said: By God, can you imagine how the world would be if everybody understood that they already were enough and stopped trying to be better than who they already are? And you can say: Well yes, but so and so was born with 10 million dollars, and so and so has a better education, and so and so is doing great things. That has nothing to do with you. The lesson for old souls is self esteem again or the value of their own soul. And once you begin to learn: Oh, I don't have to struggle. I choose to do this, I choose to do that, I choose to try this, and I choose to try that. It's because you want to do it not because you need to do it. You're not here to prove anything to anyone for any reason. You are here to let go of all the things that have held you back from being the perfect you. You see? So what is the definition of self esteem? It's how you hold yourself. Do you hold yourself in love? Do you hold yourself in light? Do you allow yourself to just be and revel in that? That just who you are right now God loves so. I had a dear client the other day who said: I'm really having a struggle Hans. My family just doesn't get who I am and they're making my life really quite miserable. And I said to her: Dear lady, no they are not. You are making your life quite miserable. She was rather offended and she said: I don't know what you're talking about and I said: It doesn't matter what they say, it matters what you think of what they say. That's the key. If you turn to that situation and say: You know what, this is not my problem, this is their problem, my God loves me, I am perfect, and I think I'll just stay the wonderful person that I already am. How do we know when we think we have the lesson? Alfred how did you know when you sort of saw the lesson and thought maybe you had gotten it?

Alfred:
Well I think this lesson is like all things of spirituality, you get a glimpse. And then that glimpse gets longer. Maybe it's 30 seconds you have perfect self esteem and maybe you have a minute of perfect self esteem and maybe you have 5 minutes and it happens periodically throughout the day and then eventually it starts an hour, a couple of hours or maybe you have perfect self esteem most of the day, some of the days. But as far as I'm concerned I don't think we can ever be a perfect spirit while we have a human body. It's just how much intention and how much inner work do you have to be as Spirit as much as you can while you're in human form. So I don't know if you can ever get the lesson I think if you finally do then nothing bothers you. You're perfectly in peace all day every day.

Hans:
It's kind of like you harmonize with the universe.

Alfred:
And that's when I think you get the lesson is when you have those glimpses. When you have a glimpse that: Oh, I am peaceful. There is nothing I need to do. There is nothing I need to learn. There is nothing I need to read. There is no one I need to be. I don't compare myself to others. Nothing around me bothers me.  That's when you get a glimpse of what it's like to be a perfect soul and have spiritual self esteem.

Hans:
Well you know what’s interesting Alfred is when you do get the lesson, when you finally hear it, when you finally see. it you're perspective changes and then your whole life begins to change and you begin to say: Wow, this is interesting. So I already am okay. I already am enough. I don't need to be anything else other than what I am at this moment. And once that finally settles in the stress and the pain and the mind chatter and all the stuff that goes with it, trying to better yourself, begins to evaporate and then out of nowhere, absolutely nowhere,  doors begin to open that lead you forward onto a new path and that path doesn't have a 'you have to prove anything' aspect of it. It allows you to just be you.

Alfred:
And I think that's the point Hans is the spiritual approach, especially the self esteem is the exact opposite of the way humans approach self improvement. You will acquire wonderful, excellent, peaceful, blissful self esteem when you stop trying to make yourself better. And instead let go of those things, let go of the notion that you can better, let go of the notion that you can be smarter, let go of the notion that other people have a good opinion or should have an opinion of you or you listen to other people's opinion. Let go of your humanness then you find the self esteem that you're looking for because nothing's haunting you anymore.

Hans:
Exactly.

Alfred:
Okay? So that's really important is the more you try to approach self esteem from a human standpoint the more you realize it becomes more difficult. I remember somebody said one time "The more you learn, the more you realize how much there is to learn and how much it's impossible to learn everything that there is to learn". So the more you travel down that path of trying to make yourself better, prettier, smarter in whatever way through a human aspect the more you realize how much more there is to make yourself better. So what we're saying is do the complete opposite. It's by letting go of those human things. It's by letting go of trying to improve. It is by the simple notion that you have everything you need already...

Hans:
Already...that's correct.

Alfred:
...and it is by letting go that you have access to that perfect peacefulness, that perfect being, that perfect soul.

Hans:
And you know Alfred...I'm addressing Kelly on this, if you look at how much time Kelly you spend trying to understand, how much time you spend trying to create outside of just who you are you'll find that the mind chatter spends an enormous amount of time trying to make you somebody other than who you already are because it's busy saying to you: Yes, but if you just have this many clients, yes, if you just have just do this, if you just get that, you'll be better. But the wonder of life Kelly, for an old soul, is simply learning how to be in the peace provided by your own mind. So when he wrote in and said Alfred: When we get this lesson does any other lesson then matter for an old soul? It comes back to the on-going battle of the lesson of mind chatter trying to defuse your state of peace. And so Kelly you can go along for awhile and say, Oh gee everything's fine now. I think I've got it. But if the mind chatter re-installs itself even after let's say 2, 3 4, weeks, a month, 2 months and it's lurking in the corner and whatever little thing trips it and the old mind chatter starts to come in its job what it wants to do is disengage you from your peace. It wants to tell you you're not quite enough. This could happen, that could happen, something else could happen... So right now the single most important thing for people with self esteem issues is my old nemesis and all of our old nemesis - the mind chatter. I know that in my teaching sometime I sound a bit redundant. But all things harken back to how you view yourself. Not how your mother does, not how your father or your siblings, not your boss, not the other employees but how you view yourself and so when you want to get yourself to a certain point that says: You know what, I don't even need to review this self esteem issue because I've got it. I know I've got it. That's when the mind chatter begins to cease. When you say to Spirit: I believe I have gotten this message. They will begin to pull the lesson. Have you noticed that Alfred?

Alfred:
They sort of go hand in hand with each other. The more you work on the inner work, the more you work on letting go of mind chatter, the more you let go of all the things we've been talking about then your self esteem improves, then your inner peace improves. But as your inner peace improves and your self esteem improves then it gives you much more incentive to let go of the remaining mind chatter because as you become more peaceful, as you become happier, as you become more settled within yourself the soul that you are then you realize: Oh, it is by letting go of the mind chatter that I can keep this way of being. I can be like this more of the time. So the more you get those glimpses of self esteem, perfect being, perfect peace, then the more power, the more determination...as we were talking about last week "Spiritual Courage" to go after the remaining parts of the mind chatter and let them go and then you have greater self esteem, greater inner peace. So they work hand in hand with each other I think Hans.

Hans:

Oh, I totally agree. Kelly, it's a great lesson for everyone. Especially those old souls who listen to this show and our members we thank each and every one of you for being a member we so appreciate your contribution to making this show possible and we really love all of our listeners who we feel are helped by the questions from others. So Alfred I believe this concludes the lesson for the day.

Topic: Spiritual Courage
May 4, 2014

Alfred:
Hello everyone and welcome to GUIDANCE FOR YOUR LIFE. This is Alfred, the Padawan to the Modern Day Mystic himself, Hans Christian King, who's going to be joining us very shortly. Today's topic is "Spiritual Courage". This is a great topic and we dedicate this to all of our students who have spiritual courage. So without further ado, I present to you the Modern Day Mystic himself, Hans Christian King.

Hans:
Hello everyone, welcome, welcome, welcome! A beautiful day here in Mexico today and when I asked Spirit what topic they would like to talk about, they said very clearly: “Spiritual Courage”. Helping those to understand that deep inside of them they do have a spiritual courage that they may not be aware of. You know it's very hard when you're in the human form and you're about your human life everyday and it all looks so real to you and the sadness and the joys and the freeways and the cars and all the stuff that go with a modern lifestyle are confronting us on a daily basis. Deep inside of each and every one of is a little gift that Spirit, the Great Spirit, gave us upon entering this dimension. And it's a little nugget of courage. It's a little nugget that says: Yes, you can. It's a little nugget that says: You are “not” nothing. You are important. Your dreams, your goals, your wishes, these are important doors for you. But when we get so caught up in the humanness of our life, the human scene as a friend of mine used to say, we begin to believe that the human scene that we're involved in is actually the real part of our life and that the spirit, our spiritual being is somehow around us but we don't quite know how to access this. And there's certain things we have to do, certain places we have to go... But when you begin to understand that you have a quiet courage, a quiet support courage that's linked to a higher source and you begin to understand that you can disconnect from the craziness by simply bringing forward your spiritual courage, your courage to look beyond what you see, your courage to look past the sadness and the despair, the disappointment in your life and say: I am strong. I am the most courageous person I know. And to be able to say this and believe it. Believe that you are in fact that divine baby angel. Kind of like folks, David and Goliath. You have that stone of courage. David had the stone that would topple the giant. You have the stone that can pull you out of any difficulty, pull you through any obstacle, no matter how bad things feel to you, no matter how much you're disappointed in life. Having this, spiritual courage and being able to access it on a daily basis... Remember it's always there, no one can take that courage away from you. The bottom of the pit, when things are at their worst, all you have to do is hold out your hand and say: I'm available now to access my spiritual courage. Thank you for being there for me. And then you always say: Give me the energy, give me the courage for just today. And when you do that, doors being to open that you didn't know were there. You know there's an old adage - when you finally get it,  when you finally believe, doors begin to open where previously there were no doors. That's what spiritual courage helps you to access is the doors that you can't see. And these doors lead you to wherever you would like to go and the Spirit is behind every single door. Alfred my friend, did you not find this to be true when you were working on this awareness? This is called "deer in the headlights syndrome".

Alfred:
(Laughing) Yes. Let me try to follow that entrance Hans. It does take a lot of courage to go against the norm. It takes a lot of courage to go against what your friends think, what your family thinks, what the media thinks, what you're bombarded with. But each of us has that courage. Each of us does have the ability to access that determination to go after what we "feel" is correct. And that's what we try to pass along to all of you - is what you "feel is correct" actually "is" what is correct.

Hans:
Yes, that correct Alfred. (Laughing)

Alfred:
Oh, thank you Hans. (Laughing) And what we try to teach all of our students that we're dedicating this show to is that through your feelings, through your connection with your true self, your inner-soul, your connection to the universe - it is through that feeling of energy and vibration that will guide you to your life path...will guide you to those experiences that you asked to experience. But to even follow up with what we've been saying the last couple of shows, we're talking about the first step. What do you need to make that transition? What really helps you make that transition? And this show is dedicated to "spiritual courage", that internal source of energy that says: Yes, I can. Yes, I believe. It's something different and something else than what something inside my chest is telling me.

Hans:
Alfred, what do you think helped you to open the door to your spiritual courage?

Alfred:
Well, I can't say my experience was the same as everybody else, but my chest started yelling at me. It said: You've had enough of this now. Now we're going to be doing something meaningful with your life. And I said: What is meaningful? And second: Who are you?

Hans:
(Laughing)

Alfred:
So my awakening came differently, I think than everybody's. But I think everybody has a certain point in their life where they've finally said: Enough is enough. Whether it's your brain telling you, your chest telling you, your Guidance telling you, the universe telling you, Hans King telling you: This is it. The way your life has been is what needs, should, will, end to begin your spiritual journey. At that point in time, this is where you need to summon your spiritual courage, that internal drive, that internal determination that says: I am here for a purpose. I am here for a greater “something”. There is some meaning to the reason I was born. I want to go find that. And that's difficult.

Hans:
It's very difficult Alfred. You know Alfred when I was a young man things were placed in my path that most people should not have gotten through. Most people should have collapsed inwardly. And I remember that one day Spirit told me to go and see this movie. And I asked if I could go and it was, yes. And the movie was called "The Unsinkable Molly Brown". And it was the story of that girl's Johnny Brown's, girlfriend and then wife in Leadville, Colorado. It's a true story. And in the opening of the movie she says: I ain't no bottom to no pile. I mean much more to me than I mean to anybody I ever knew. And she said: If I have to eat catfish heads for the rest of my life can I please have them off a silver platter? In other words, her internal courage said she wasn't the appearance of her life. She was much greater than what circumstances showed her in human terms. And I resonated with that and I realized: Oh, I'm not stupid because I'm dyslexic and ADD. That's not my problem. That's somebody's else's problem. That's their thinking of who I am, not my thinking of who I am. And I've lived by that mantra for a long time: That I am the best person I ever knew. Now I know that sounds egotistical. But each and every one of you have to get to that place where you say: I am the best person I have ever known. Because it's true. You are the dearest and kindest person you will ever meet in your life. Where we all have to be concerned is when we start to lose our spiritual courage to change the conditions that we see around us. Our current awareness of who we are sometimes of: Oh, I'm a waiter or I'm an artist or I'm this or... No, you again are this baby angel having a human experience. And I keep going back to that through the years with you beautiful people - baby angel having a human experience. Remember when I first told Alfred he was just a baby angel having a human experience... He just looked at me and said: What's the matter with you? I have two MBA's, I'm a banker...and all of these things. I said: No, that's what you do. Who are you? And he struggled for awhile. And it took quite awhile before he said: I'm a baby angel having a human experience. And when you detach from the appearance of the humanness of your life, and you motivate your spiritual courage and say: You know what, I'm going to risk. I'm going to jump off the cliff because I know God will catch me. I know I will never hit bottom. God will always catch me. And folks, God always does. I have never seen anyone jump off a cliff, spiritual cliff, who ever hit the bottom. They always wound up in a whole new life, a whole new situation. Alfred, you know that feeling.

Alfred:
Yes. Yes, I know that feeling quite well. It is this transition that we've been talking about the past couple of shows and this show. The determination to find out what else there is. The internal drive to find meaning in your life. The deep internal knowing that you're not alone. There is so much more to your natural state, your natural being, who you really are that you don't know.

Hans:
Yes.

Alfred:
And what we're saying is having and finding and using your internal spiritual courage to not only begin this journey but to get over some huge hurdles and that's really what Hans and I were talking about some of our clients is a lot of our clients have come to us to say: Okay, I've begun the new path. I've started the journey. How do I get over this? How do I get over my parents? How do I get over my spouse? How do I get over all of these problems? And I just had one of my wonderful clients, we'll just say she's from Switzerland okay, who got over her parents, the conditioning from her parents. 50 years she's been working on it.

Hans:
Yes.

Alfred:
Finally had the courage this week to let her parents go and she just seemed so much lighter, so much like an angel, so much more at peace because she had the courage to face something that she didn't know how to face.

Hans:
Right. And Alfred that's spiritual courage in motion is it not?

Alfred:
It absolutely is. And it's to those people who have been with us...whether you have been with us for months or years, that we've seen each of you take huge steps, huge chances. They seemed to be chances, like you're jumping off a cliff, that's the human perception and what we tell you is that's an illusion. Just take the first step and then you'll see the doors open.

Hans:
And Alfred they always open.

Alfred:
Yes, but that's spirituality. It's not that God is going to show up and prove Himself to you, it's no, first you have to have faith, trust and belief in that there is something more.

Hans:
Right.

Alfred:
And then once you "have" that internal belief, "then" the doors open, "then" you see things you couldn't see before. But it starts with making a choice. It starts with having that internal courage to make the decision, to do something different, to let go of that which is holding you in the past, to release that which is holding you into your humanness. How's that Hans?

Hans:
Very good. You keep that up you'll be a teacher one day.

Alfred:
Hmm.

Hans:
Again I point out to everyone what we're trying to say. You're humanness presents your life as reality. But remember something, most of you hear this but most of you don't put it in your heart - There's nothing whatsoever going on in your life that you did not create. You weren't handed these things. You created them. Now you created a scenario by saying to Spirit: This is something I'd like to work on. Spirit then presented the doors and the opportunities for you to learn that lesson and sometimes it looks very ugly, sometimes it's very painful. But again you have the one thing that Alfred keeps harping on - you have free will. You have choice. You don't have to sit in misery. I talked to a lovely woman the other day who's been married to a man for 25 years. They have two beautiful children and they both absolutely dislike each other. All of the joy has gone out of the relationship. Rather than sit down with each other and say: We need to remember that we love each other and that we created this family. We need to go our separate ways while still remaining a family for our children. They haven't done that. They've each picked up big bags of stones and they're just throwing these stones at each other and calling each other names. And Spirit said: How can you do this with the person that you chose to be the father of your children? Awh, because he deserves it and he's this and... No, no, no, no, no. He became this and you became that and you lost your way. So we have a choice in life, like when you complain about a job...oh, isn't this the job you used to pray to God to get? Or when you got this job didn't you say: Oh thank God I got rescued by God. Having a basic understanding, a basic awareness that all that you seek is possible because you are armed with "spiritual courage" and you can opt out of whatever is distasteful, whatever isn't working in your life, whatever's painful you can opt out of that with this courage and move yourself to a new beginning. Alfred you did that.

Alfred:
Yes and I think I'm starting to see the connection a little better with the topics. This courage that we're talking about, this internal courage, this internal connection to Source, the internal connection to your soul helps you form your intention to have a different life. Helps you form the intention, the internal belief that there is something more. Helps you set the intention to let go of those things that no longer serve you and that's what we were saying is, how do you get out of your way? Well the first thing is to set your intention to get out of your way, okay? Well we're saying it may take a little bit of courage to set that first intention. To let go of that relationship...

Hans:
Indeed.

Alfred:
To look at life differently. To go about life differently. To go against what everyone  around you tells you is the truth and to go find your unique meaning in life, your unique path in life that takes some courage to begin to have that internal intention.

Hans:
Alfred what would you say to the person who doesn't believe they have a uniqueness...I love the way you're wording this...What would you say to someone who says: I'm not special. I'm not unique. What would you say to that person?

Alfred:
Try it. I always love this part of the show. Try it. Just try these things that we're saying!

Hans:
The worst case scenario is you stay the same.

Alfred:
The worst case scenario is if you don't like it in a couple of days go back to the way you were.

Hans:
Absolutely.

Alfred:
With 20-30-40 years experience doing that it shouldn't be really hard to go back to that. So what we're saying is if you're scared, try it for a day, try it for 2 days...see what happens. What's the worst...

Hans:
You know Alfred many years ago Spirit used to say to my clients, and still does to this day: Drive another way home from work. Drive another way to work. Go to a different market on your way home. Watch and see the internal resistance to change. Watch and see the fear and the mind chatter that is manufactured by those very simple things Alfred.

Alfred:
That's actually a good point. Why do you need this internal courage? Why do you need to set your intention? It's because you've programmed yourself to take care of yourself, to keep you safe...

Hans:
Exactly.

Alfred:
I don't want this happening to me again. I'm going to control the situation. Well, that's humanness. That's what separates you from who you truly are, separates you from Guidance, separates you from Spirit, separates you from the universe. In order to counter that 20, 30, 40 years of conditioning, you need some determination, you need some internal strength to say: You know what, it's really been nice that you've been taking care of me for all this time. However, there's a new sheriff in town and this is the way we're going to be going about things from now on.

Hans:
I like that! There's a new sheriff in town. (Laughing)

Alfred:
The new sheriff in town is: I am going to be who I am.

Hans:
Even if I don't know who I am.

Alfred:
Correct.

Hans:
My intention is...

Alfred:
Yes. I'm going to find out who I am. And your mind chatter is going to go crazy.

Hans:
Absolutely.

Alfred:
Or I can't protect you, what happens if this happens, what happens if you get hurt again...and that's where the internal determination comes in. To say: No, I've had it, the way things have been, I need something different. I may not know what something different is but Hans and Alfred tell me there's something out there. I'm going to go find it. I'm going to use that internal spiritual courage to take the first step. And you have to understand your mind chatter is meant to protect you. But what is that you say Hans - may it not protect you out of your life?

Hans:
"The mind chatter wants to protect you. Let it not protect you out of all you know and all you are." You know Alfred Spirit once said to a lady...she said: No, this is who I am. And Spirit said to her: No, it is who you have become. And there's a big different between those two. You see we become “the appearance” and then we say this is who I am. And people say: Oh, that's who you are. No. That's how you've become. That's what you've learned to be, what you've learned to do. What Alfred and I are talking about with "spiritual courage" you can reach beyond the limitations of your perception of who you are. And there's this incredible being in there that you haven't met yet.

Alfred:
I always like coming up with funny little analogies. I'm going to use a sailboat. A really big sailboat that has been built in a dock, it's all beautiful, it's got great big sails, it's nice and big and can hold a lot of people and it's meant to go out. But the owner says: I don't want to take my boat out, look how nice and pretty it is. And then all of a sudden there's just this determination to just go out and sail. So the owner puts the sails up and the boat doesn't go anywhere and the owner's like: Why isn't the boat going anywhere? And we're saying, you have to start by looking at pulling up the anchor. That thing which holds you in the past. Those things which keep you safe exactly where you are. If you're wondering why your life isn't changing then you need to look at having the courage to pull up those anchors. We call them mind chatter...perceptions...opinions that are past. Okay? We have half a page of all of these things...guilt, remorse...

Hans:
Oh, we're loaded. We're loaded. Alfred, I'm reminded of this show I saw on TV the other night. Really cute little family show but it had a metaphysical spiritual bend to it. And this police officer, a really nice guy, he and his wife had this house and the kids... And downstairs there was a very large basement, a very, very large basement. And he decided to build himself a boat. And he'd always wanted to go sailing. And he said: I know that when I retire what i want to do is sail. And he started building this sailboat. And he's about 6 years into the sailboat. It's pretty good sized by now. And this young girl is visiting with her family from down the street and she says: Could I see the boat? And he said: Yeah, sure. And she said: Well could I help you? So he gave her a piece of sandpaper...she's sanding... she stopped for a moment and she said: Uh, what are you going to do with the boat? He says: I'm going to take it out on the Sound and go sailing. And she said: How? And he said: I don't understand. And she said: You'll have to tear down the house to get the boat out. And he looked at her and he said: Oh. And then they talked about what part of the house would have to be torn down in order to get the boat out. But in his perception he had never provided a space to get his true self out. So he was only to build the boat inside where the mind chatter said he was safe.

Alfred:
And that's a good way to look at it. A house is there to protect you. A house is there to keep you safe. A house has been built over many many years. You've got lots of “memories”. Lots of doing the same thing over and over and over again.  Family, friends...

Hans:
The appearance of a solid foundation in other words.

Alfred:
Yes, the appearance of a solid foundation of your history and now you're looking at releasing what's inside of you.

Hans:
Exactly.

Alfred:
Sometimes does require tearing down, letting go...

Hans:
So he would have to pull forward his spiritual courage if he wants to see his dream come true. He will have to tear down a hole in the house to get the boat out.

Alfred:
Or the whole house itself.

Hans:
Or the whole house itself, yes. So, what we're saying to you folks is each and every one of you are armed with spiritual courage. I used to watch Alfred really tear himself apart trying to find a safe place to disconnect from how he had been told that things are. What he believed was the reality of things, of the business world, the business corporation, the flying, the running around, the making himself crazy... All the things that he did to make that process easier for himself and even when he had what he thought he was looking for he wasn't happy. Because he knew something was missing. And all of you know that there's something missing. But when you say to yourself: By golly, I know I have spiritual courage and I know no matter what the universe throws at me, my courage and who I am is greater than any obstacle. And just because I'm in something doesn't mean it stays. It doesn't mean it's who I am. For instance let's say, there's a separation or a divorce. Do you become the separation or the divorce? No, it's passing through you. If you have a bad cold do you become the cold? No, it's passing through you. So all adversity, the appearance of adversity, is actually passing through you. Each and every one of you I want you to know that you have that courage that Alfred and I are talking about. You absolutely have it. No one has it better than you. Nobody has it worse than you. We all are born with that little internal nugget that says: Yes, I am. And yes, I can. And armed with that we remember to turn the switch on. Remember part of the cord's attached to your heart and the other part is attached to the Spirit and there's and On and Off Switch on your side. And you can choose to turn it on anytime you want and you can accomplish whatever you set out to accomplish. Okay? Alfred, before we close the lesson today is there anything you'd like to add?

Alfred:
No. That actually summarizes it pretty good. We're just so proud of the so many people..

Hans:
Oh my goodness yes! Alfred you and I get all of these beautiful emails from people saying: I don't know if it works but I'm trying it. Or I've tried it and I haven't fallen down yet, you know. So people are really starting to work their stuff. I'm very, very proud of our group.

Alfred:
Absolutely.

Hans:
Now before I go to the questions please. Two things. Number one I wanted to ask you...I had a question from one of our Circle Members asking: Is there a way that we could, from time to time, and I'm so sorry I'm throwing this at you but I forgot...Is it that we can do an open forum for Circle Members?

Alfred:
Yes. We're working on that.

Hans:
We are. That's all.

Alfred:
Tornado Mike and I are working on setting that up.

Hans:
Okay good. Well, I've answered the question as best we can. Now, the other thing is you wanted to put Bella up on the bed to say Hi to everybody.

Alfred:
Oh, yes, Bella come say Hi to everyone...come on.

Hans:
Alfred's in the guest bedroom.

Alfred:
Come on. Everybody, say hello to the Princess Supermodel. Oh, she's having a bad hair day. Hello. Say Hi.

Hans:
The wind was blowing when she went outside.

Alfred:
Hi everyone. Okay, Bella you can go over here. There you go. You're on TV. All your fans are watching you.
