Topic: The Wonder of Choice
December 12, 2015

HANS:
For many people the only choice they have each day is how to find food. How to find shelter. It’s not about whether they will eat, it’s whether will they be able to. We are born in this country into a society of plenty and we have all kinds of situations here to help everybody at different levels. I don’t think a lot of people  understand how many safety nets there are in the United States. I’m not saying it’s perfect, but we have so many safety nets to help our people to get through.

This time of the year, do something for you. Everybody’s out wrapping presents. I said to Alfred yesterday, the traffic here in Asheville is crazy. It’s the most I’ve ever seen. I realized, oh, everybody’s running to get Christmas presents and visit with friends, and that’s wonderful, but let’s have a choice that says, “I’m going to give myself peace. I’ve decided I’m going to give myself peace.”

ALFRED:
A lot of the things we cover in the abundance course is understanding that you’re in limitation if your abundance is defined by money. You can have the abundance of love, the abundance of joy, the abundance of happiness, the abundance of peace. Notice how spiritual those words are. They’re in sync with the universal energy, in sync with the universal flow. Now say, “My abundance is money.” That just sounds like it’s limitation.

So when you’re thinking of ways to pamper yourself and choices that you have, think about what is in the flow, what is real. If you’re thinking in physical terms, you’re in limitation. If you’re thinking of what is truth, where you’re going, where you came from, you’re thinking of things that are in flow with universal energy.

HANS:
Absolutely. And you know, today I’m going to be sitting outside on my porch, in my rocker, and if anybody would have told me back in the days, when I was born in Los Angeles that I’d be sitting on the side of a mountain in a rocker on the front porch in the mountains, I would have thought, “Oh, well you need some help!”

But the peace and the joy of being able to do that is absolutely wonderful. Listening to the birds. Bella likes to come out and sit.

You have choices. Give yourself the gift of choice. Don’t get caught up, children, in the appearance of lack. Of scarcity. Of fear. Of doubt. Don’t do that. Find something, anything, that makes you smile. For those of you who have computers, you can go on the internet and there’s just a ton of things you can do. I recommend for instance, you can go and watch the H.M.S Ocean. Mariah Carey’s Christmas song, and watch the whole crew, boys and girls, mime the whole song. It’s wonderful! Free. You can go and listen to music, for free.

You have an abundance of gifts here, let’s not focus on political candidates saying stupid things. Let’s not focus on the pundits. Remember, all those pundits that they pay all that money to for about what might happen. Isn’t that right, Alfred?

ALFRED:
Yes, and you have two choices when you’re looking at how you’re going to feel about things. Are you worrying about what might, could possibly happen in the future, or are you reflecting upon being in the moment, being in the now, as a basis of spiritual principles? If you want to find peace, joy and happiness, it’s about being in the moment. If you’re in the future, you’re in separation.

HANS:
Absolutely. So just finding simple things to do. Sometimes getting some pictures of the family that’s crossed over and sitting down and being with those pictures, and putting a little Christmas ball here, and a little something there, and maybe a card or two, anything that brings you in joy and in touch with your history, the wonder, how you got here, all these wonderful people that made your life possible, some of them you never knew. Your great grandparents; you never even knew them.

Being grateful and happy in the moment at the holiday season. Let your Guidance know, let Spirit know that you’re not caught up in the appearance of fear. We have a policy here where we don’t really do gifts for Christmas, we give all year long. That’s something a lot of you should look at. Don’t be panicked if you don’t have a Christmas present. Or you give one or receive one. That’s not what’s important. Did you get a hug from someone you haven’t seen in a year? That’s important. Did you go and have a coffee with someone you’ve been too busy to see and they’ve been too busy—and did you get caught up?

Our little dog Bella got really sick, with a bronchial condition and the coughing was just horrible, and she got to the doctor yesterday, and she’s up and running. She wasn’t happy. She had to have some shots and some antibiotics, all kinds of stuff, but I’m grateful she’s okay.

ALFRED:
Yes.

HANS:
Choices. Opportunities. Let this Christmas be something that rings in your heart. That reminds you of all the chances you’ve had. All the good things that have been in your life. Don’t dwell on what didn’t show up. Don’t dwell on what hasn’t happened. Dwell on, “Oh, I’m still here. I’m still alive. I have choices. I have possibilities.”

Alfred and I have friends right now that won’t be here next year at Christmas. Their choices are limited but they’re still smiling, and, folks, that’s the key.

Don’t look at the appearance of your life as reality. Just look, “Oh that’s passing through me. Oh that’s passing by. I wonder what I’m supposed to learn from this?” And we’re getting ready for a whole new year. A brand new beginning, and in that beginning, you have all kinds of wonderful gifts that by this time next year you’ll say, “Well how did that happen? I never saw that coming.”

I had a telephone call from a lady the other day and she said, “Hansie I have to cancel my appointment, I’ve lost my job.” I said, “Wonderful, what are you going to do?” She said, “You know what? At first I got very frightened, but then I realized I didn’t want that job, it just was a lousy time for it to happen.” I said, “What are you going to do?” She said she was going to make a list of what she didn’t want anymore. There you go. She said, “I’m not going to fund energy to that anymore, and when I’m ready I’ll give you a call.” I said, “Wonderful!”

So folks, what I want you to know is that there are possibilities in your life everyday, and those possibilities increase as you believe. The key is believing.

And that will conclude the lesson for today.

Topic: Nothing is Wrong
October 3, 2015

HANS:
Hi everyone, welcome.  Today’s topic is, “Nothing Is Wrong.” In our daily life we need to view things in certain perspectives in order for us to feel that everything is okay, we’re in good shape. We need for people to say certain things, we need to hear our boss say certain things, we need constantly to be reassured that everything’s okay, everything’s alright. Right now we’re going through this terrible loss again at a another school, this is the forty-second school that this has happened to, and so our minds right away are rushing to try to comprehend the madness that’s involved with why our children kill our children. We all know why. All you have to do is turn on television or go to the movies. That’s where they’re getting all this “violence is okay.”

Alfred and I sat the other night and we watched little blurbs from all the new TV shows. Every one of them was violence. Every one we looked at had violence in it - I mean murders - everyone of them. Then we wonder why our children - where this is coming from. We know the answers but we don’t want to bring them into ourself, so that we make ourself responsible for any of this. You see?

So, when I say to you, what makes you think anything is wrong, the mind has a place inside of it that it needs to understand why this is going on. So, what I’m saying to you is, when you go to work everyday, there’s a need you have for the boss, maybe the owner, to live up to some emotional expectation you may have. If that doesn’t happen in that time frame that you have set, something’s wrong. You have a need for your partner to say a certain thing or be a certain way, when they maybe would have said, “Do you need that?” Something’s wrong. And so learning, one of the hardest things I ever tried to teach our boy here, was that nothing was wrong. And he looked at me like I’d lost my mind.

ALFRED:
When we bring this topic up in class, which we do a lot of times, especially during the Intuitive Development Class, immediately people come up with child abuse, the Holocaust. They bring up the worst things that could have ever possibly be, and we have to sit there and say, “What makes you think anything is really wrong?” And there’s a lot of different ways for you to look at it, one of them being - is there really death? If the absolute worse things happen, mass suicides, mass killings, the school killings, the Holocaust, is there anything wrong? Did those people die? Or did the physical aspect just fade away and the soul just return to the other side to come back down for another incarnation later on. That’s what we try to describe to you, is by changing your perception of the way you look at things, instead of having a judgment of the way you’re looking at murder, the school shootings, change your perception to say - this is nothing more than a vehicle.

When you get into an accident, yes, you’re a little bit shaken up, but what do you do? You go get another car. The insurance company pays for it, or you get a rental car and you use that for a little while and then you get into another car and then off you go. Yes, there’s a little bit of emotion when you lose one car and pick up another one but is it really like that, Hans?

HANS:
Alfred, as humans, we forget one specific thing. The greatest gift that the Universe gives us, that God first gives us, you’ve heard me say this for years, is free will. It is man’s free will that is creating the disasters, the murders, the inhumanity to our fellow man, not feeding our hungry. It is our own choice, maybe not yours, but somebody else’s. It’s a bunch of free will choices that are hurting the world.

We now, this beautiful country of ours, with our beautiful people, have now become the most violent nation in the western world. I saw on television today that over the last ten years, three hundred and eighty-three Americans have been killed by terrorists overseas. That’s terrible. But three hundred thousand have been killed inside the United States, by our own people who are acting like terrorists.

I just saw a lady and her husband in Tokyo and their daughter wanted to go to Columbia University in New York, and they didn’t want her to go, they said, "No.It’s too violent there, you don’t want to go there, you’ll get hurt." The daughter wanted to go, to be with her friends, and anyway she went and on her first day she was shot dead in the street. Is that a coincidence? Is that something that was supposed to happen? No. So when we say to you, what makes you think anything is wrong? You’re not reacting to a global situation, you’re reacting to a human situation. The human situation in our country has grown more and more angry, more and more fearful, and so out of that anger and out of that fear - why didn’t God stop World War I, and World War II, and the Korean War, and the Vietnamese War? God had nothing to do with those wars. Nothing.

ALFRED:
And that’s exactly it. If you try to look at the situation from a human perspective, if you try to understand it, if you try to rationalize it – yes, you’re going to get frustrated, there’s going to be blame, there’s going to be stress, there’s going to be anger, but for those of a spiritual perspective, there is the law of free will, and that is the fundamental foundation of incarnation on this planet  - is that this planet allows for all experiences, all choices. You can choose to be happy. You can choose to be kind. You can choose to be mean. Now, could there ever be possibly be something good that comes out of violence, mass murder - yes. Is there something positive that could come out of poverty? Yes. What? An uprising of enlightenment, good, sharing, that there are people, for example Britain and the UK rose up against the evil that happened in World War II, there was an uprising of good. With poverty there is an uprising of super billionaires who are now funding money to end poverty.

There is the possibility to interact and experience anything you want on this earth and that is by design by the Creator that everyone has free will to experience whatever they want, however they want… and everyone knows that before they come here.

HANS:
Absolutely. One of the things They say to us on our way in is, "Remember you have free will over everything. Yes, you have a dharma that speaks to learning this particular thing. Be nice to each other, be kind." Instead, when we come in right away our minds are filled with all the fears of our parents, all the fears of society. We see things on television - I saw the other day that on average, a child sees a little more than fifty-eight murders a week. Every week. On the television - with a handgun. Fifty-eight. That’s appalling. We now have a hand gun for every man, woman and child in the United States of America. No nation on earth has that many firearms.

When I was a young man, you went to the police station and you got a gun permit. Then, when you got your permit, you went to the gun place and you bought the gun and you registered the gun. Not anymore. So, when we start getting upset about our sense of the lack of free will, which is what we all feel. We feel helpless. The reason we feel helpless is because we don’t do anything to change it. We keep succumbing.

ALFRED:
Exactly. And that is the first lesson we are telling you about. You can fall into the fear, you can fall into why is this happening? You can get upset, or you can say, “I dedicate my life, I dedicate part of my time to being peaceful,” and go within being peaceful and realize that nothing can affect
who you are. You always have the choice to be happy. Second, there was the possibility of finally the people having a greater say than the gun lobby. There is finally a possibility that the word of the people is going to overcome the NRA. That is the good that can possibly come from this.

HANS:
The other side on the gun issue says, oh the second amendment - nobody is talking about taking your guns away. That is never going to happen in this country. It is part of our Constitution. What we are talking about is being responsible for the guns we sell people. That’s what we’re talking about. If the other half of the country rose up and said in a strong and forceful voice, “No. You cannot do this anymore. Let’s open a dialogue.” If that force was as loud as the force on the right that has risen up - millions and millions of dollars that have been spent to keep gun laws the way they are - then you would see change. The free will of people, but until you take a stand, until you say no I am not willing to take this anymore.

Until you change your perception and realize, “Oh, there is nothing wrong here. I’m just not acting on it.” We have tremendous laws on guns in this country, but none of them are used.

So what I want you to do is to use what I’m talking about today in several ways. How are you viewing your life? How are you viewing the conditions of your life? Alfred, I talked to a lady a couple of days ago, and she said she had the most miserable life she ever could have imagined. She said her life turned out exactly as she thought it was. She said, “I’m miserable, nobody loves me, I have a terrible job, I hardly have any money in the bank, nobody wants to be my friend.” I said, “When did you start doing this to yourself?” She went totally crazy on the phone. Totally crazy! “Why am I talking to you?” I said, “Because you need to put in a new perspective, that’s why.” She believed that everything was wrong. She became a victim of that, and she started to look at when the next shoe’s going to drop, when’s the next bad thing going to happen? Can any of you relate to that?

ALFRED:
Absolutely. And that leads up to our second topic for today, which has to do with looking at nothing is wrong by changing your perception and changing your judgment of the way that things are. What makes you think you have the ability to understand, to judge, to have an opinion of the way things are, to judge universal law, to judge God for allowing these things to happen?

HANS:
God didn’t do that to you.

ALFRED:
No. But imagine if by design, God allowed for all experiences. That we knew about World War I, World War II. We knew about the Crusades, we knew about the British coming over and taking over America, we knew about the Spanish taking over South America, before you incarnated and you said, “That’s okay, I’m going to come down there.” It was a choice, of course you don’t remember this.

HANS:
The greatest gift God gives us always, is free will. Nothing is more important.

ALFRED:
And to look at what is happening through that perception, to say, “No - I knew in advance that this was the type of world that I was going to come down into.” Instead of having a judgment of what is wrong, and judging; having the opinion that something’s wrong - look at it the way you did when you decided to come down which is: I have the judgment that I want to live my life in this incarnation and look at the good I can do for myself, look at the good I can do for my soul, look at the possibilities of being of service, because there are so many opportunities to be of service.

HANS:
Go back even further than that. As mankind has evolved, God never produced anything called war. Great Spirit never produced anything called murder. Never produced anything called starvation. Mankind did that, and God always gets blamed if something goes wrong. And gets the credit when something goes right. We as a nation of people, are slowly imploding. Our current system is imploding. We are no longer even governable. We are the laughing stock of the western world. Travel overseas and see what they think about the craziness. Donald Trump for president?! Really? That’s the best we can come up with?

We need to sit back, all of us, in our personal life and say, “I choose no longer perceive my life as a loss.” Remember my friend Alexandra I’ve told you about all these years - whenever anything would go awry in her life, her first statement out of her lips was, “I wonder what’s in this for me today, what can I learn from this today?”

ALFRED:
And that’s what we mean about looking at your judgment, looking at your perception of the situation, of the news, of what’s going on. What is there for you? Is it - oh look at this world that I live in, or is it - look there’s a lot of opportunities to serve. Is it - oh I blame God for this or no - there’s just some lost souls out there and I choose to be a soul that’s of service to others. I choose to be a soul that is happy. What is your perception, what is your opinion, your judgment, the way you view what is going on in the world and your role in the world?

HANS:
Exactly. You can have the peace in your life at any time by allowing your perception to shift that there is peace. You can literally make a decision today that says my life is of value, I don’t particularly care the way it’s going right now, but I set that in motion. I’m not a victim of my circumstances any longer. I choose to know there’s nothing wrong, and that all I’m asking Spirit for is to help me change my intention. Because out of intention comes clarity. Always.

Did we get it?

ALFRED:
Yes. That was a tough subject.

HANS:
It is a tough subject because, it is inbred in us through society, good and evil, light and dark, right and wrong, poor and rich, always this dichotomy of perceptual truth. Truth is, I am. Truth is, nothing is wrong.

I had a dear friend Rita, who used to say to her students, “Over your head every day Spirit provides a tremendous amount of cookie dough. Just floating in the clouds, the cookie dough. Every day God gives you all the cookie cutters you could possibly use for your own imagination and your own heart, and it’s up to you to find one you think looks good and bring it down and put it on the tray and Spirit will bake that cookie for you.” Because she believed. Belief is the oven of joy.

ALFRED:
Those are the two different ways you can look at life. You can look at your life - look at all the things that are bad around me or you can follow the wisdom of Mahatma Gandhi that says be the change you wish to see in the world.

HANS:
Change your internal mechanism. Don’t say, “I want to buy a house in Acapulco,” say, “I’m going to buy a house in Acapulco.” Don’t say, “Gee I wish I could learn to fly,” say, “Well I’m already a pilot I just need my license.” Move yourself out of your minds perception that there’s something blocking you, that there’s something wrong, move it out. I woke up today, my feet hit the ground. I have choices. I can choose to be happy, or I can choose to be miserable. Mind chatter will immediately go back to your family or your problems or you history Alfred, and start pulling that junk up once again as if any of it is real! In all those memories that you have of your younger days - they’re gone. The reality of it is nobody gives a darn, nobody knows the pain that you’re in, nobody cares that you’re in the pain. They’ll say, “Get over yourself.” Everything you want is in front of you. That’s just a memory. Would you run a race with a ten foot ball put to your foot? No. Get rid of the ball. it’s called perception.

Alrighty Alfred, I think that will conclude the lesson for today.

Topic: Seeing Past the Illusion
September 26, 2015

HANS:
Hi everyone. Welcome on this beautiful day, and it is truly a beautiful day today. Today’s topic is “Seeing Past the Illusion.” I want to talk a little bit about something that all of us have been dealing with for a long time. One of the lessons that my Guidance has always taught me was seeing past the illusion, that we have a tendency in our life to become what we need to see. Isn’t that strange? We become what we need to see. Well, the old adage is, “You see what you look for, you know.” Now, most people don’t realize that everything that’s going in their life and around their life is either their illusion or somebody else’s illusion. Someone once said, does the tree in the forest make a sound when it falls if no one’s there to hear it? That’s kind of what I’m trying to get at today. Our mind is busy trying to create what it hopes is the life it can be happy with, and it puts a great deal of energy into trying to get this job, trying to get this to work, trying to get that to work, what’s going on with this, what’s going on with that, and it all is a very large illusion. Now, you can learn to play with the illusion... however, if you believe the illusion is real, then you basically lost the game.

ALFRED:
Let me try to translate this, Hans. It’s like Disneyland is real and we try to say, "No, it’s Disneyland. You can go there and go have fun, go on the rides, don’t take yourself too seriously. Please don’t cut any lines or bump anybody."

HANS:
You mean like you do.

ALFRED:
I don’t so that anymore.

HANS:
You used to.

ALFRED:
So don’t cut the lines, be nice, be polite to other people in line, get on the ride, have fun, but eventually you’re going to leave Disneyland.

HANS:
Exactly.

ALFRED:
Is that a good analogy?

HANS:
It’s very good. I’m proud of you.

ALFRED:
Some people think Disneyland is real.

HANS:
Yes. You can see that little children would like to believe Disneyland is real.

ALFRED:
I always wanted to fly. I didn’t understand why I couldn’t fly.

HANS:
You don’t have feathers.

ALFRED:
But why? It just doesn’t make any sense.

HANS:
Because different things evolve to do different things.

ALFRED:
Is that my illusion?

HANS:
It may be your illusion, because you get on airplanes and fly across the country all the time and never think anything about that - that’s flying.

ALFRED:
But by myself. Why do I need an airplane?

HANS:
Take that up with God.

ALFRED:
I’ll have to ask when I get to the other side. So anyway, the illusion is believing that what you’re going through, whatever it is, is reality.

HANS:
I learned a long time ago, my friends, to set your intention and hold it. And you’ve heard me throughout the years talk about setting your intentions. I had a great conversation with some wonderful people last night about setting your intentions and holding it. That’s where the power comes from in your life. Unfortunately, people tend to set their intention and then lose the power of it, and then wonder why it doesn’t show up. So, what I’m trying to say to all of you is there is an opportunity in your life to try something new, and that is set your intention and hold it. Don’t second guess it, don’t wonder it, don’t question it, set your intention and everything then comes to be. You see?

ALFRED:
What’s the purpose of having an intention in Disneyland?

HANS:
Joy.

ALFRED:
There we go! The experience of experiencing life as a human.

HANS:
It brings us to a more childlike state. And so going to Disneyland, if you pretend there are no crowds. That’s what I always did. I pretended there were no crowds and therefore I never saw any crowds.

ALFRED:
It’s like driving in traffic in Los Angeles. You can let it upset you or you….

HANS:
As you know, Alfred, for over twenty years I commuted from Ft. Lauderdale to Dadeland, south of Miami, everyday, five days a week, back and forth. I never saw the traffic. I saw the clouds, the thunder, the lightening. I saw the downtown buildings that blinked all their different colors, but I didn’t see the traffic. Therefore, I never suffered the traffic. Get it?

ALFRED:
And the other thing is if somebody does decide to cut you off, instead of getting mad, you can bless them.

HANS:
I do.

ALFRED:
Say, “Please make it home safely without killing yourself or anybody else.”

HANS:
Exactly.

ALFRED:
So it’s how do you look at the experience of this incarnation is what we’re getting at. Not only how do you look at it, but how can you have fun? Find joy?

HANS:
When you see past the illusion, you understand that all that’s happening in your life is what you created. People always think life is what happens to them. No, no, no. You set your intention, you put policy in place, and there is a reaction to the policy which comes back to you, but if your original intention is to find joy and peace, learn to look past the illusion.

ALFRED
Because if you think that the illusion is real, you would actually get upset.

HANS:
Yes.

ALFRED:
And the truth is that there is really nothing to get upset about.

HANS:
You’ve heard me now for five years on this show talk to you about, “They themselves are makers of themselves” by Dr. James Allen. Hear it again, “They themselves are makers of themselves.” In all my sixty years of being in service, it is the single hardest thing I have ever tried to teach anyone.

ALFRED:
I always like to quote the Dalai Lama, because a lot of people, especially our students have said,"Well, there’s lots of stuff that you should be getting upset about." What we like to say is there is a difference between how you hold yourself and injustice in the world. For example, when the Dalai Lama was interviewed recently the interviewer asked, “Well aren’t you upset about what China has done to Tibet?” And the Dalai Lama said, “No.” And the interviewer got very obstinate and said, “How can you not be upset? They’ve invaded your country, they’ve exiled you.” And the Dalai Lama says, “I choose to be happy.” And the poor interviewer could not understand so the Dalai Lama elaborated and said, “Because there is injustice in the world, does not mean it should upset you. I choose to be happy. And as a happy and more peaceful person, then I am more able to deal with the injustice and be a better politician, but I refuse to let that upset me.” Do you see the difference between the two?

HANS:
So when you realize that you are the makers of yourselves, you realize that all that is going on is operating out of your own consciousness. And when you realize it’s all operating out of your own consciousness, you can say, “I choose to see past this illusion and I’m going to create a new one.” So you can keep changing the illusion. For instance, I want to talk to you about the word abundance. We all have an idea what abundance looks for each one of us, but the way I look at abundance is free will and choice and just knowing that you can re-organize your life at any time. That you can train yourself to be peaceful and loving and quiet and kind and compassionate. That’s abundance. Knowing that you are separating yourself from all the craziness that’s going on in the world. That’s abundance. When the Pope came to the country the other day, I was astounded by the volumes of people surrounding him everywhere he went. Hundreds of thousands of people - why? Because he represented peace. He represented compassion, caring. He looked at the injustice, the inequalities and incomes, how that affected the poorest of us. How climate change affected the poorest of us. Now, I’m not a Catholic, but you don’t have to be a Catholic to have those ideals. And each and every one of you can see past the illusion. And that’s the key - to see past the illusion, the illusion that says this is the way it is, this is the way it’s always been, this is the way it’s always going to be. That, people, is not true. And you can remove yourself from the old illusions that you have created for yourself and bring a whole new sense of reality to you. You know about that, Alfred.

ALFRED:
Now, we may be throwing some of you for a loop to say, wait a minute, what does it have to do with changing the world? And we present you with a question and it is: What is the only thing or the only person in the entire universe that you can change? Yourself. You do not have the ability to change anyone else, or anything else, besides you! Yes, you can grab ahold of something, you can do something, but the way spirituality works is you first follow Mahatma Gandhi’s teachings and go within. The rest of the world does not need change for you to be happy. The rest of the world does not need to change or be different for you to find joy. It is your perception of the illusion that determines the amount of joy and peace and happiness in your life. It is first from within that you find joy and happiness. Yes, you may decide to be of service in a specific way, to help in a specific way, absolutely fine, but what we try to emphasize is to first see past the illusion to ensure you come from a peaceful place, you come from a happy place, a joyful place - and then go out and be of service.

HANS:
And you know, folks, what we find difficult to believe when we are in the middle of a mind chatter bombardment from ourselves, is we don’t remember that this isn’t true. We believe that because it’s here and we’re operating in it, therefore it must be real. The truth of the matter is, like the old Buddhist monk said to me once, “Young man, what makes you think that anything is wrong?” Then I gave him the litany and answers to why it was and he said, “No, no, son, that’s your perception of the moment. That doesn’t mean that anything is wrong. There is nothing wrong, it’s only how you perceive it.”

ALFRED:
Changing your perception is not trying to understand. If you try to understand the way the world is, you will drive yourself nuts and bring yourself into human-ness. We’re not saying that. Instead, we’re saying - let go, try to understand there’s a greater plan. There’s so many things that are so far beyond your understanding. Because if you let yourself get upset and you think you understand the way things are and you think you understand the injustice, notice all the understandings and aggravations that are happening because you’re dragging yourself into human-ness. Instead, as the Buddhist monk told Hans, what makes you think anything is truly wrong? For example if you see a poor person - do you have the judgment that someone is wrong? Well, how do you know if that person for example had a prior life where he was really rich and he treated poor people badly, and he decided to come back as a poor person to teach himself a lesson what its like to live as a poor person. And that person’s life no matter what, he always had enough money, had a roof over his head, but he was poor. Is there anything wrong? Or is it quite simply an experience he wished to participate in. So you have two choices when you are looking at the illusion to try to understand the way things are, or as we’re recommending as #one, stop trying to understand the illusion and just be happy. And yes, if you wish to be of service, perfectly fine. If you wish to feed the poor, clothe the poor, donate, volunteer your time, perfectly fine. But what is missing? Judgment. I have a judgment. I’m trying to understand why the world is bad, why things are wrong, that I have a judgment that things are wrong. Instead, you take the spiritual approach, as Hans was guided so long ago by the Buddhist monk, “What makes you think that anything is wrong?”

HANS:
It’s our mind that portrays us as a victim. It’s our mind that portrays us as poor. It’s our mind that portrays us as not having any hope. The mind produces all of this junk, then has the audacity to try to prove it’s true by calling up things from our history that show, “Oh here, I’m back in the same rut.” The fact, for instance, that everyone is listening to the show today, the fact of it, is a miracle in and of itself. Twenty years ago, folks, we couldn’t have done this show, it wouldn’t have been possible. Twenty years ago, nobody knew what an email was going to be. So we’ve advanced enormously, and are so blessed to have computers that can show us. Right now I’m looking at the flowers in my rose garden, and thinking how beautiful they are, and now some orchids that I have, and I’m thinking - wow, we are so lucky to be able to see these things. And therefore, I go to the place that says, “What if there is nothing wrong?”

ALFRED:
So what we’re trying to say is, it’s not that there is something wrong or something right, those are judgments, and in general spiritual principles try not to have a judgment – it’s the way you go about life. It’s... do you find your purpose by trying to fix things, or do you go about life by saying, "No - all of this is an illusion. There’s no way possible I could ever understand everything that’s going on. I choose to be happy. And oh, by the way, once I’m finally happy I decide to go out and be of service." Isn’t that just a lot more relaxing?

HANS:
I think so. You know, what we’re trying to give you is a sense of peace and hope. I’m looking at a picture of the Buddha’s face right now and how the Buddha talked about compassion, and it talked about how there is nothing wrong. It’s our perception of what’s going on in our life, and when we fully understand that there is nothing wrong, we can breathe a sigh of relief in knowing that the Spirit loves us so. We’re moving through this world to learn some lessons we chose to learn. Nobody made us come here, nobody made us be here. We’re here by our own design, and knowing this, opens us to all the wonderful possibilities for our life, but, again, you have to be able to see past the illusion of your life.

ALFRED:
And that’s where it all starts. Do you continuously allow yourself to get upset, aggravated, bringing negative energy into your being, because you think you understand the way things are and the way things should be (which is very human), or do you surrender into things that they just are? I am. It is. And start from within. These are polar opposites that we’re trying to tell you here. One way, the first way, is very aggravating and human, and the second way is very peaceful and internal, and calming. And if you view the illusion as something that is not meant to be understood, you’re supposed to work on yourself first and then once you work on yourself, then go and be of service without judgment, without expectation. To say, “Where should I serve? What do I want to experience?” Notice the lack of stress, notice the lack of negativity, notice the lack of aggravation, the lack of human-ness. That’s what we’re trying to tell you to let go of. By letting go of the illusion, the need to understand the illusion, the need to change the illusion, manipulate the the illusion, to be of service, and we’re saying, no, no you don’t. That’s not the path forward that God has put in front of us. The path is to let go of the illusion, to let go of the expectations and judgements, trying to understand the illusion, and to be peaceful and to be happy, and, sure, then go and be of service.

HANS:
Gandhi once said “Be the change you want to see.”

ALFRED:
Yes, it starts from within and if there ever was anybody who made some serious changes in the world it’s Mahatma.

HANS:
Mahatma brought down the British Empire with an intention to free his people. He never fired a shot. He never went to war.

ALFRED:
So we’re trying to tell you this stuff works.

HANS:
It really does. And the more you set yourself free from your own internal mechanism of thinking and perception, the more that comes to you.

ALFRED:
We actually agree on this one Hans.

HANS:
We do. We usually agree on most things. You usually see it my way. I couldn’t pass that up! We so enjoy doing this show. We so enjoy being with you and getting the beautiful comments we do, like after last weeks show. What you really need to hear folks is, “Yes you can, and yes I am.” When you finally hear that, “Oh, I’m not my thinking. I’m not in pain. I’m in joy!” Find a flower. Find a cloud, find a bird, find a bug, and just ask yourself - do these creatures, these living things, worry? Or do they simply show up? Everyday. For their life. Which is what you should be doing. People have a tendency to actually believe their own thinking, so what I’m trying to help you to understand is that you don’t have to believe your thinking, you have to believe the joy of who you are. Spirit already knows where you need to be. They already know what’s important for your life cycle. Tell Them what you would like the experience of, and simply know it. Be in joy. I’m going to make this up, say a family member calls and upsets you terribly, because another family member hasn’t shown up to their expectations they want a dialogue with you and say, “No.”

ALFRED:
If that sounds familiar, family issues, you probably are an old soul.

HANS:
Say to the person, “I hear you but I choose not to allow you to upset me today. This is not my problem.” If your boss chews you out at work and you have to say - yes sir, yes ma’am, turn to your internal self and say - this has nothing to do with me. I chose not to be a part of this. This is somebody else’s opinion. It’s nothing more and nothing less, and get on with your life. Don’t judge yourself by the conditions of your life, don’t judge yourself by the people in your life. There will always be people who are vexations to the soul. Always. Your job is to stay away from them. And I don’t care how close they may be to you, I don’t care who they are, there are times when you need to let go of people who simply don’t measure up to your peace.

ALFRED:
Again, we go back to the saying - who is only person, what is the only thing in the world you can control? Yourself.

HANS:
And sometimes folks, illness may come to visit. Remember, it’s come to visit the body. Give the illness to the Spirit and say, “I’m available for pure health and pure wellness.” Remember you have that power.

Alrighty, Alfred, I think that will conclude the lesson for today.

Topic: Less is More

HANS:
Hi everybody. Good to be back with you. Today we're going to be talking about "Less is More.” You've heard my story, that way back when, when I was just a kid, my dad said to me: Always remember son, Less is More. I really couldn't figure out what he was talking about because everything in life had been geared to acquiring “more.” More education, more money, bigger house, bigger car, better health... Everything was “more and more.”

So when he said: Always remember that Less is More, it didn't sink in. I didn't fully get the impact of that for some time to come. And then one day, I went through a terrible experience. Terrible, insofar as I perceived it, as a terrible loss. And I did the human thing. I mourned it, I cried over it. It was pretty bad. And again, he said to me: Remember what I told you - Less is More.

I began to understand that our mind chatter disturbs our ease, disturbs our peace, fills our time with necessities, fills our time with pain, sorrow. And then I began to see the less we have invested in the outcome of anything, the more it comes to us. Alfred has gone through that experience. I've gone through that experience.

But when you try to explain to someone: Put this in your heart that Less is More, it comes right up against - But what if we don't make it? What if I'm not enough? What if I lose this job? What if I don't get another job? What if I never have another partner? And you have to go to battle with it. Because the mind wants to tell you More is Better and The Spirit wants to tell you Less is More.

Now you remember what I said to you any number of months ago when I said: Nothing you are ever going to acquire will you ever get to keep. Remember that? So all the stuff that you're trying so hard at filling up all your space, all your time with, in the end... it's nothing. It matters not. It matters who you are, how you loved you, how you loved others.

I have a dear friend of mine who has been battling a major illness. One that she most likely would have never survived except for her deep seated belief that she was already enough. And that less was more... she would get the healing. She had over 20 tumors in her body, all cancerous, lymphoma. They have all disappeared.

And what she did was to go for the experimental treatment, but at the same time, to bring herself to a beautiful place internally that says: I already am enough. I'm enough to stay alive. I'm enough to be healed. We go through terrible times in our lives based on our personal perception of what's happening. You've been there before Alfred.

ALFRED:
Yes. And what we're trying to do, is what we try to do every Show, is give you a different perspective, a different viewpoint, a different way of going about life. The typical human way to go about life, Western way to go about life, is I need more... I need to get more... I need to have a bigger salary... a bigger car... nicer clothes... better shoes.. climb the ladder to get a better title... a prettier wife... a bigger house... Sound familiar anybody?

That is a human way which is happiness is through acquiring. And what we're trying to tell is the spiritual path is by letting go... is by surrendering. If you're looking for happiness and you're finding that the rat race and keeping up with the Jones' isn't making you happy, then we're telling you the alternative. Which is by letting go, by giving, by surrendering. That is an alternative path to happiness.

HANS:
It's really hard for us all to turn loose of our perceptions. We have to have this to be better, we have to have that to be better. So we did a program called "You Are Enough" which you can get on my Shopping Cart at my website. And you get quite a discount because you are Members and are watching the Show. And what it says is: What if you woke up tomorrow morning and found out just who you are in this moment was enough for God?

There was nowhere you needed to go, nothing you needed to be, nothing you needed to become. You were already enough. This is an alien concept. It's an alien concept. Alfred, when did you discover that for yourself?

ALFRED:
When you told me.

HANS:
Ah. (Laughing) And there's a smart-alack in every Class.

ALFRED:
So again, one of the focuses of what we're trying to do with this Show, and these little snippits, is help you realize perspectives of ways of being that you may not have known about. To say: There is a different way to go about life. You don't have to “acquire” education, money, material things, to be happy. We're saying there is a different path to happiness through peacefulness.

HANS:
Every morning when you wake up, sit on the side of your bed for just a moment. Turn of the mind chatter about "have to's," "need to get someplace," "time"... and just say something to this effect: I am blessed today because my God loves me just the way I am. I do not need to change who I am. I am that I am and it's perfect. Try saying it every day you wake up. Watch and see the difference it makes in your life as you begin to go down your day's path.

It's important for us to realize that we walk through an illusionary world. Nothing in it is actually real. It's a culmination of other people's understandings and ideas that they have projected forward. As you think about what I've just said: We are walking through everybody else's illusion. You see? Even the restaurant that you stop to have your breakfast in was someone's illusion. Someone created that. That wasn't there before.

And because it's all illusionary, you can create your own space and your own illusion within the illusions that keep you from being effected by anything that might be negative in the illusion. Start your day, every day, by saying: Today Less is More, I'm perfect. And you will see a wonderful change in the way you perceive the world and the way you think the world perceives you. Alfred?

ALFRED:
Great. And that brings us to our second topic for today of Less is More. Less helps you have a more spiritual life.

HANS:
It absolutely does. Because as you've heard me say for years now: No two things can be in the same place at the same time. You have to let go of one in order to acquire the other. That's life. And if your head is filled with a bunch of stuff about "have to," "need to," "should've," "would've," "could've"... There's no space for Spirit to step in and say: Be peaceful, child. You already are enough. Everything is fine.

They can't do it. Because you've so blocked the channel with all your worrying and fussing and all the things that... And I'm not saying to any of you that Alfred and I don't, on occasion, have those times... that we get upset about something. Alfred did this morning as a matter of fact when he went to the stock market.

ALFRED:
I got upset?

HANS:
Yes. (Laughing) He won't tell you that, but he does. He's perfect in every way... just look at him. So when we have expectations, we have limitations to our own soul. You hear me? When we have expectations, we have limitations to our soul. The wisest people I know oftentimes feel they're not enough. The smartest people I know oftentimes feel they're not good enough. I can tell you of Stars and people in this work that we do here that you would be utterly and absolutely astounded at if you knew that every once in awhile they too go through a little bit of the dark side.

But you know what I like about the dark? It reminds us so much why we love the light. I've always told you for years: You can't shine the dark in the light. So by blocking the negative aspect of the dark, which is your mind chatter, you allow Spirit to come in and sit in your heart, you allow Spirit to open the doors. They already know what you want. Yes, you can remind them what you would like the experience of and They will respond to that.

But They already know your path. They already know what's sitting in your heart. They already know your desires. And no, They're not spying on you. The other morning a woman wanted to know if Spirit could see everything. Do they know some of our dark secrets?

ALFRED:
Yes.

HANS:
Yes. And I don't care. That's human stuff and They're not bothered by that. They just see the little baby angel, that's it. So, Alfred?

ALFRED:
Less is More is also a path to spirituality. Pretty much every spiritual path will always say: Be peaceful. In order to be peaceful, you need to have less mind chatter, you need to be less human, you need to let go of expectations, opinions... all those type of human aspects in order to come to a peaceful place. And it is from that peaceful place that you not only will find happiness and bliss and joy, but it is from that peaceful place that Spirit can enter your life and work "with" you.

See spirituality is not just about finding yourself... your true spiritual self. Which is what we've talked about letting go of humanness, letting go of mind chatter, letting go of opinions... all those things. But the second path in spirituality is about your relationship with the Universe, your Guidance, Spirit, God, and how to work with Them.

And the very first stage is: Can you be peaceful and quiet enough internally that you can begin to “hear” Guidance, that you can begin to work “with” Them. So it's not just you on this path. That if you can actively let go of your humanness enough to be in a calm enough place, a peaceful enough place, a quiet enough place, in order to "hear" the Guidance that's always around you.

HANS:
The optimum word right there was to "hear." Because we can't "hear" when we're busy listening to our own thoughts.

Alright. That will conclude the lesson for today.

Topic: Walking In Both Worlds

Hans:
Good evening everyone. How nice to be back with you all. Today's topic is "Walking in Both Worlds." One of the great lessons that Spirit taught me many, many, many years ago was that we are really not human with a spiritual attachment but we are spiritual beings cloaked in a human body, if you will. So we're actually Spirit in human form. This can often be a little off-putting for many people because they don't feel that way. They tend to feel the essence of the moment or the moment is about the mind chatter and you know Aunt Sue has, you know, a problem and your mom or your dad are going through something, and so we begin to turn from that wonderful, wonderful baby essence of the angel inside each and every one of us and we start to go into the appearance of the non-reality that is our daily life.

This, I veer just slightly, every so slightly, on that teaching just for a second to say to you: Remember that when your life presents itself every day, there's nothing going on in your life you did not create. I want to hit that home again. Remember there's nothing going on in your life you did not create. You chose your job, your clothes, your home, where you live, your spouse. Everything is a choice. Now, periodically when things tend to begin to fall apart we begin to forget the essence of the little angel. Wouldn't it be fun if we could go back and say to ourselves: I wonder what the angel would say? I wonder what the baby angel would want in this situation? And almost always it comes back: Love and acceptance. You don't need acceptance people, but you do require love.

So these little loving angels that we are that have put on these clothes, and this body of ours in other words, and walking into this world that we're about, sometimes we just lose our way. We lose our wisdom, we lose our knowledge, we lose so much of the essence of the inner-child which is our little angel. So we are, in effect, baby angels having a human experience. That's very difficult for a lot of people to believe. But it is in fact the reality. Who we are in appearance on the external only stays here for 70 to 90 years, that's it. No matter what you do to it, how you clothe it, no matter how much medicine you take, vitamins, no matter what you do, the body will leave you. Always.

So spiritual beings cloaked in human bodies - sort of our focus this evening - how does that manifest? Well when we're on the Other Side and before we're getting ready to come back to this world, a bunch of us get together with our angels, our buds, our friends, and we have a look at the past life and what was it we intended to accomplish before we went to that life. And we look to see did we do what we said that we wanted to do, did we have the experiences we wanted to have, and if not we say, well maybe I'll go back and try that one over again. You've heard me say to you your friends and everybody get with you. And say: Well, I'll go with you. You can work on this with me and I'll work on that with you.

When you arrive here, you have the word within you. And the word is: Love. You don't necessarily know that, but it will be pervasive in your life. That's why we worry about love, will we find love, will love be kind to us, will love hurt us... That is what they call the world outside of us, and visiting us through our mind chatter. The word within us says: I am enough. The word within us says: I and my father are the same. The God-force that is, is me. The God that takes care of me, that provides for me, is in me. There is nothing I need. Because all of my needs have been taken care of since I was born. The world outside of us, which is what we are taught to believe in, as though it was real, presents us with pitfalls, presents us with fear and doubt, presents us with...actually fundamental untruths. And so we tend to follow that fear. We follow that mind chatter to the world outside of us. And people begin to hammer home this is the real world. If it were the real world, it would stay the same. But it's not, it's constantly changing. Because the real world is based on other people's ideas of what is so and what is not so. And they put a number on over everyone and say this will provide to everyone. Be afraid of this, be happy if this happens...

Our entire nation, and most of the world, is being shaken to the ground. As you all know I have what's called My Prayer Request on my webpage. And I get a tremendous amount of emails everyday from individuals, including my dear loving friends you, asking me what happened? Am I going to be safe? Will I ever crawl out of this debt? Will I ever begin to live normally like I did before? What many of you didn't know is that was an illusion you were living in. The United States of America overspent for 30 years and borrowed money for 30 years and borrowed itself nearly into oblivion. We will get through this because we have the most diverse economy on earth. We will get through this. And you've heard me say: But we'll never be the same.

The word within us tells us we are enough. The word within us reminds me, reminds you, that we don't need to search for what we already have. We already are angels. The experience that we seek to have is only something we wish to visit us, it is not us. But the outside world bangs on the door of us telling us we're broke, telling us we're not enough, telling us we're alone, telling us all the horrible, awful things that could happen to us. You've heard me say: That the mind chatter never tells us how wonderful we are. Only the heart tells us how wonderful we are. And every day the Spirit reminds you, in any way they can, how wonderful you are to them.

Trust in your spiritual growth. Choosing what feels best. This can sometimes be a very difficult thing because the outside world tells us what it believes. Our mind chatter tells us what it believes. So you have two things that are just telling you what you should do. But if you listen to the heart... In other words, if you had what used to be called your druthers, which now is your options, if you had your options and everything were equal, what experience would you choose for you in this time in your life? Watch the mind chatter, watch the outside of us try to diffuse that.

I talked to a dear friend of mine today who said: Every time I start to do something for myself I talk myself out of it. And it's been like that since I was a child. I know a person who told themselves: Yes, I can. Yes, I am. From very, very humble beginnings. And accomplished those goals in their lifetime. You get on a daily basis feedback from the Other Side. Who is constantly trying to enforce and renew the wonderful baby angel that you are. It's constantly renewing that angel, constantly saying why not, constantly trying to get you to dream past your limitations. So feeling that baby angel in you, trusting that baby angel in you, choosing what feels best for you...

I knew a wonderful young lady who, some years ago, decided that the experience that she wanted was to be a lawyer. A wonderful profession, I don't poke fun at lawyers, they're very necessary...good lawyers. And Spirit says to her: You're too soft for that. It will be difficult for you. It's not who you are. Well anyway, the outside of her, the outside world, her parents, all the children in the family were lawyers... She proceeded down that path and one day she came to see me. And she said: I didn't listen to your advice. And she said: I'm faced with the terrible task of telling my family, especially my mom and dad, and my siblings, I don't want to be a lawyer anymore. We gave her the courage. Spirit gave her all the courage they could give, reinforced her heart.

And at a big family event she announced that she was dropping, not renewing her credential to be a lawyer. And her parents were absolutely aghast, aghast. And her father said: But why Jane? She said: Dad, it doesn't work for me. It doesn't feel right. And he said: But child you will find your entire life that you do things that don't feel right. And she said: I've decided not to go down that path. I'm only going to do things that feel good to me. And he said: Well honey you could find yourself in a lot of trouble financially. She said: No, I don't think so dad. Because my God, my soul, my Spirit will take care of me.

This same young lady eventually opened a very small shelter for lost animals, lost puppies and kittens. And she turned that into one of the biggest concerns of that particular profession in the nation today. Because she believed. And she believed what she was told by Spirit when Spirit said to her: Have you all you already need. Just like Yoda. Follow your dreams, pursue your dreams, all will be well. And because she believed that, her life changed so dramatically that her parents are just thrilled for her. And her father said to her: You know child, I never would have believed it. And she said: Dad, that's what I was talking about. And she said to him: Did you really want to be a lawyer. And he said: No, I did not. I did not want to be a lawyer. But my father was, and my grandfather was, and his father was. It was what we did. We became lawyers.

It is a very good idea, wherever possible, to surround yourself in a community of like-minded others. In other words, people who see you. People who hear who you are and support that. People who were there to literally add positive energy to whatever endeavor you might embark upon, to open as many doors as possible. The problem that has been out there for many years is so many people don't have or can't find a community where they feel they can go and be loved and appreciated. And so what I say to those of you who want that - create it. Create it yourself. If you have a friend who you believe might benefit from something you've been reading, share it. Talk about it. Find a book that you feel has helped to change your life. I'll mention a few - The Dragon Doesn't Live Here Anymore, you all know I support this book. Spiritual Unfoldment 1 by Grace Cooke (White Eagle).

Get together and read a chapter or two a week. A different soul reading a different chapter each week. Build a community of what I'm going to call light-thinking and watch and see the miracles that happen as others begin to join your group. I've had to, on many occasion, limit the size of the groups that I have had around the country. Because it simply was not able to accommodate all the people that wanted to from our classes in San Francisco and Los Angeles. We have people that came out of our classes, went out, hooked back up again, created little mini, if you will, centers. It's just really groups of people that get together who are teaching what we taught them, who are helping open doors for others who may not have been able to attend the class or maybe wasn't aware that the class was available on-line from our webpage. But finding a community of like-minded souls, souls who refuse to be dragged down by the appearance of mind chatter, world mind chatter, personal mind chatter... There is an old saying "That there's got to be something better than this." I think that was from Sweet Charity, Broadway show.

You know, my friends, you all know the wonderful actress Shirley MacLaine. As I look back over the last 30 years, I cannot think of another soul who brought the awareness of life after death, Spirit, Spirit Guides, Angels. I can't think of anyone who ever risked their career as much as that wonderful person did. And because of who she was and because of her intention to serve and make a difference, she opened doors for hundreds of thousands, if not millions of people. She would not be dissuaded. She absolutely held her ground. And in the end she won because the world has moved towards the light. And there are new people coming on-board today. There are more people than there have ever been saying: You know what? This doesn't work for me. This doesn't work.

Walking in this world and the spiritual world at the same time, learning balance while walking in both worlds... You don't want to completely dismiss all of your life's lessons because you say they don't matter. Because that isn't true. You still will have your life's lessons. However, when you're armed with the awareness that you have one foot in one dimension and one foot in another dimension, you can literally, and I mean literally, motivate your life in wondrous ways. Your human self looks at a particular situation as a catastrophe. Your spiritual self will say: Ah, but that's only the appearance and what can we learn from this today? How can we be better? How can we use this to grow? How?

You know folks, the best plants in the world, the best bushes, the best trees, all grow in the dark. We never grow in the light, we always grow towards the light. Armed with the essence that you are Spirit in human form and you connect to that form, the Source, if you will, you can sail through life in many, many, many different directions, always. But always knowing that that God is your Source and being very aware of how much the mind chatter tries to interfere with our peace.

Having an awareness, knowing to balance between the two worlds helps create a belief within ourself. A belief that we are the Spirit operating in the human form. And when you learn to do that, there's this sense of a wonderful freedom. It's like a heavy weight suddenly is lifted from you and the divine you begins to emerge in such a way as to create all these wonderful possibilities. You see? The divine you has been pushed down behind your heart chakra. And it lives back there in the hopes that maybe someday its light will shine greater than the lies that the mind chatter and the world are creating for you. And it dreams to take you back to the essence, if you will, of who you are. Never pondering pain, never pondering how life is out there, never worrying about all the stuff on the television and the newspapers. Oh my goodness people, go to the garden please. Go to the garden. Feel the wonder of God surrounding you. Look at the clouds, see a kitten, see a baby with its parents. Go to the park, it's free. Feel God in action.

Belief, knowing. Knowing that no matter what happens, no matter what transpires you will always be fine. You have nothing to fear. No matter how bad things get. Even if you get a pink slip. I had a wise friend who used to say to me: Kid, he said, there's only two ways any one thing can go for you - either fer ya or agin ya. And if you're prepared for either eventuality, you'll be just fine in life. Having the belief that says: I know in my heart I am okay. I know that Spirit is my co-pilot. I know God does not love anyone more than me. I believe.

Folks, I have to bring up a difficult subject called patience. Now we all know patience, don't we? Patience is when we feel we would like for something to show up and Spirit says: Eventually. But before you can do that you have to do this. Patience. Setting your feet, and your heart, upon the path of a new experience, letting go of it, giving it to the Spirit and saying: To my highest good please, thy will be done on this issue. And believing that you are not being ignored, believing they're busy at work trying to manipulate energy and possibilities and people to bring you to that wonderful conclusion.

I will say to all of you there has never been anything in my life that I have ever asked for, ever, that I did not get. Mind you, there were times when I had to ask myself why I asked for certain things (laughing)... So the old adage of: Be careful what you wish for, pray for. But you are entitled you know. All of you. You are entitled to your heart's desire. That is the law of life. For Heaven's sake, my angels, have fun. Have fun. Don't take life so seriously that you ruin each day.

I saw a bumper sticker and it just really pained me. It says: Life is what you do while you're waiting to die. And I thought: How horribly cynical. I wonder, I said to myself, if people actually believe that. Life is what you do - period. Life is what your dharma speaks to. Whatever your path speaks to. Every day of your life find something beautiful. I look at Bella in the morning, my little Shih Tzu. And she is small for a Shih Tzu. She looks like this little toy. And every day I say to her in the morning: Thank you for coming to visit my home. I love you very much. Even when you're naughty, I still love you.

You know our animal friends, our daily life, has the potential to teach us in a wonderful way...in a wonderful way. Have fun every day. Even though, my friends, you don't feel like having fun. Remember I told you that every day my dad used to wake up to make somebody laugh? He did. Every day of his life that he had an awareness. He did have dementia in the end. He made somebody laugh. He made me laugh every day. He used to pull tricks on me. He loved to tell me something and it not be true and then he'd laugh and laugh and laugh because he thought it was the funniest thing.

Have fun with life. Don't take it so seriously. The only part of you that will ever turn out for you is the little child inside of you, the baby angel having the human experience will always be there for you, will never let you down. Only the mind chatter is capable of doing that.

And that is our lesson for this evening.
