So for this week's topic "Beyond the Void" - I present to you the Modern Day Mystic himself Hans Christian King.

Hans:
Good afternoon everybody. How nice to be back with you again. This is a subject that I've heard from so many of you: Well what do I do with The Void? What's going to happen to me when The Void is over? How did I get into The Void? And throughout the years, I've tried to explain to you how important the Void is. Because at a certain time in your life... By the way Alfred, this is coming from some of our listeners, isn't that right?

Alfred:
That's true. This topic was sent in by one of our Spiritual Circle Members. Now you don't have to be a Spiritual Circle Member to send in a topic. But this was from one of our newer Spiritual Circle Members. And if you'd like to submit a question, you can submit it via the Radio Show Page, submit it via Contact Us.  But if you'd like us to talk about something that you deal with, send it in and it may be one of the topics that we're talking about.

Hans:
Absolutely. And for everyone that I have ever known, there is a certain time in one's life, and this can occur once, but usually about two to three times in somebody's life this happens,  when the plan they've been working on, when the life they've been living, for whatever reason, appears to start getting disconnect energy. It feels like: Hm-mm, I don't know...Am I on the right track?...This isn't quite what I thought it was going to be...I feel I've done all I can do with this... And we begin to sort of back away a little bit. That's the Spirit encouraging us to look at our chalkboard. Is it full? Well, if in fact you are feeling disconnected, the board is full.

There are things on the board you don't want to change. Or shall I say, are very reluctant to change. And so it can be a little off-putting. It can be a little fearful as you watch things begin to disappear...energies, people, jobs, relationships, children, parents... All kinds of things begin to get sort of thrown into a top-hat. It's like "I'm out of control", "I don't seem to be able to get anything to work", and the more you try to fix it, the worst it gets.

Now I've talked a lot about The Void in the past. But again we do get questions from people saying: Well, what do I do? First of all, if you're in The Void, sit down, be quiet and recognize you're in The Void. Oh, this is scary. You have a process of letting go about to develop. And this alone scares many, many people. I talked to a lovely lady today and I had to let her know that she had to let go. And she said: How do you let go of your perceptions? That's very hard because our perceptions are so entrenched in us, our perception of our parents and how they should be, of our lovers how they should be, of our children, our bosses, our employees, our dog, our cat... We have a perception of how they need to interact in our life so we can feel good about ourself and feel safe. But sometimes folks, we come to the end of the old movie that has been playing as our life and Spirit says... I think I told you all...when I was much younger...they do it to this day. When I am to disconnect from something, the Spirit will suddenly, out of nowhere, say to me: Hans, time to go now son. And I know that at that moment, what I've been doing is about to change. Time to go now.

And so somewhere deep inside of you, you can hear that: Time to go. Time to disengage. But there is this thing that you've heard me say throughout the years that you've been with me and that is that we tend to be frightened of the unknown. We have this tendency, I like to say, of putting a demon or a dragon in the unknown and how can we be afraid of something we don't know? It's really interesting. So when one comes to The Void, it is time to be peaceful and safe.

Alfred, I'm going to bring you in about here. I know in your teachings... How does this work with you?

Alfred:
Well that was a good explanation of what is The Void and basically how you  recognize it is simply that stuff that has been part of your life for a really long time, for most of the time for no reason, it just starts to fade away. And the more you try to grab at it, the more it try to pulls away from you. That's basically The Void. The Void is Spirit purposely taking things from us. Okay? And a lot of us are concerned about why Spirit we purposely take things from us and even if we could understand, how most of the time we don't, so a lot of the questions have to come from: Okay, we understand what The Void is but how do we listen to Guidance to know that they're taking things from us? How do we work with Guidance in order to get through The Void and not extend it?

Hans:
Well part of what we need to learn how to do Alfred is to help people to understand that when you're in The Void nothing is wrong. Get that craziness out of your head. Nothing is actually wrong. But when you're in the human form and The Void starts and you have to start letting go of things, I think it's just fine to go ahead and have a good moan. Lord knows I do. You may not like what is happening, but you have to understand it's to your highest good. So, when you're in The Void and you sit down, you must learn to be still. You must calm the mind chatter and say: Okay, where to from here? I'm prepared. Present me with the doors and I will follow.

Alfred:
So as Spirit is taking things from us, which apparently they would be purpose for our highest good, how do people look at this as an opportunity?

Hans:
Because Alfred, if you have a board that is the board of your life and you write on it, at a certain place there's no place left on the board to write. You have to erase the board or you have no place to go. So letting go is getting. Most people don't know that. If I'm right-handed, and I need to pick up a glass of water and I'm holding a pen in my hand, what do I have to do with the pen? Both serve me, but I have to put one of them down. You put down what you're holding onto in the moment. And in the process of putting it down there is the power of trust that comes forward. The lesson of trust that if I put down the pen will I be able to pick up the water and then again will I be able to pick up the pen?

So when you're going through The Void Alfred, there's two sets of fears. The first fear is the fear of disconnect from what you have as the known. So the minute that starts to disconnect, fear, doubt, confusion, anxiety come up. And then on the other side of that is the fear of the unknown, the fear of The Void, what if nothing happens, what if I go through all the process of letting go, letting God, all of that good stuff, what if I do that and there's nothing over on the other side?

Alfred:
Let's pick a topic that a lot of people can relate to. A huge part of The Void happens to be around relationships. How many times Hans have we seen a relationship that Spirit said: You know what, it's better that you two are not together.

Hans:
Oh yes.

Alfred:
But one of the people refuses to believe that and keeps chasing after, and keeps chasing after, and keeps chasing after, saying: I don't know why we're splitting up. I don't know why it can't be. But Spirit is saying: It's for your highest good not to be together.

Hans:
That's correct.

Alfred:
But the person doesn't follow Spirit's advice. Let's use this as an example of how to go against The Void and what the person should do to go with The Void. How's that Hans?

Hans:
When you go against The Void on that issue Alfred, you drag a negative energy towards you. You actually disconnect from your true possibilities and the more you hang on, the more what you want will disappear. Because the energy that supported the relationship in the old is over. And the more you hold onto, the tighter your grasp of it is, the more the new that you were going to participate in, begins to dissipate. So Spirit in its wisdom pushes you back into the old energy where you will stay in nothingness.

Alfred:
That is how The Void gets extended.

Hans:
The Void absolutely gets extended. You couldn't be more correct. The Void gets extended because people refuse to change. They just refuse to. They are going to prove that they are right, come heck, come high water.  And I know a dear lady who I absolutely adore as a human being, been a friend of mine for over 30 years, who continues to this day to go after a relationship that doesn't exist anymore. And cannot understand why the Spirit hasn't opened a new door. The Spirit can't open the door because she's standing in the way and she won't allow the Spirit to do its job which is to close down the old. She actually keeps taking the phone call, she keeps opening the emails... I've got at least 5 or 6 of these wonderful people, and at least 2 or 3 men who do the same thing, and they keep... It's like a therapist would call it a denial. I think it's far beyond denial. I think it is an utter and absolute refusal to see the benefit of letting go.

Alfred:
So for someone in this situation, what would be the right thing to do. How to get through The Void when Spirit is trying to take something through you. What would be the fastest way to do it?

Hans:
Sit down, be still and go to the place of the simple "I am". In this moment, I am peaceful. In this moment, I trust in Spirit. In this moment, I know that letting go of this subject, (and then state the subject), it is to my highest good. I choose not to allow my mind chatter to continue to pull me back into dysfunction. I am now free. That's what has to be done.

Alfred:
Now a lot of times this would deal with other things that we think are real important.

Hans:
Yes.

Alfred:
Such as jobs.

Hans:
Yes.

Alfred:
Okay. How many times have people tried to get a job that didn't work for them?

Hans:
I can't even tell you. I can't tell you how many people I know, and good people in our group here, our little family, Radio family, who hold onto the same job year after year after year that doesn't advance, and doesn't get them any work because they think this is where they need to be because they don't trust if they look outside. Just begin to look outside, that they would find something. And what if they found something and they got into it and they didn't like it? You see? What if they get fired? They would rather deny themselves their possibilities by hanging onto what doesn't work.

Alfred:
You know what this reminds me of?

Hans:
What?

Alfred:
The devil you know verses the devil you don't know.

Hans:
Couldn't have said it better. Exactly.

Alfred:
But what is the devil you know? Your ego, your consciousness, your mind chatter.

Hans:
Yes. It's a refusal on the part of the individual to believe they deserve better. It's a refusal to believe that they deserve better than that. So they give themselves the limitation that they live by. There is no limitation Alfred. None. The only limitation that we have is the limitation that we impose upon ourself. And in The Void, the Spirit tries in every way they know how to get us to disconnect from what we think is our life when it doesn't work anymore. And I've seen Spirit get people let go. I've seen it. Because they wouldn't listen to the fact they needed to make a change.

Alfred:
So the opportunities that are for us in The Void really are by letting go of what we have, we get which Spirit believes is for our highest good?

Hans:
Absolutely. It's absolute. And so when I really think that we need to look at is what happens for us when we're in The Void. What is it the Spirit sees that we do? Does the Spirit see that we say to ourself: You know what, The Void is here, time to witness it. Okay. I know the Spirit has my back, I believe that they're going to take me where we need to go... Or do we, once again, go back to the struggle of: Do I believe that God is good? Spirit knows best. Spirit has my back. So it throws us back into consciousness of fear, consciousness of doubt. When if we truly believe, no matter what appears children, no matter what appears, we know the outcome is better than what we're going through at the moment.

Alfred:
That's a really good point. That's one of the main questions is: How to work with Spirit to erase the blackboard.

Hans:
Yes. This is the key. Be willing to let go of what does not work anymore. We all go through Voids and it's a time when Spirit says: Time to go now. This has been played. This has been done. But what I've noticed Alfred, in The Void, is the huge amount of fear, anger and resentment that The Void pulls up in many people...some very spiritual, fabulous spiritual people that I know, when it happens to them, something's wrong. And folks, sometimes The Void lasts a little longer than we'd like...sometimes. You know a good way to get it to speed up? It's start telling yourself nothing's really wrong. It's The Void, there'll be some changes, you'll be strong because Spirit has your back. I choose to be peaceful in The Void. Choose to be peaceful in The Void. That's they key Alfred. Because when you're peaceful in The Void, you say: I believe in you. I trust in you. I know you've got my back in this Void. Even though I can't see why, it winds up to my highest good.

Alfred:
Here's a good one that somebody had sent in about The Void. Old souls in their 40's, you had mentioned a few times to many, many, many people, that's it around 40, 42 that people transition from whatever they were doing with their life of spirituality... How does Spirit use The Void to help them in that transition?

Hans:
The Spirit uses The Void as a catalyst to say: Alright, time to move on. And they usually hit us with The Void, women about 42, men about 38, who are older souls. Most people listening to this show today are older souls. And so Spirit in its wisdom knows when the game has been played, when the script has been read, when the play has been acted, it's time to go. In human form, we look for similarity for safety. It's nice to go where everyone knows your name. Okay?  It's nice to be witnessed. It's nice to be recognized. It's nice to see the same flowers grow. The same tree send out new shoots every year. It's nice to have the appearance of continuity in one's life. But that's not the road less traveled. That's the same road, doing the same thing year after year after year.

In my life...when I was a little boy, I think most of you know this statement...when I was a little boy I said to Spirit: When I grow up I wish to be a gypsy. And my goodness everyone, I have lived up to that. I think most of you who've known me for some time have known that I have been a gypsy and I have had a very incredible life. Because no one thing holds all our answers folks. Life, true life, is about multiple emotional states, multiple ideas, multiple adventures. No one adventure is everything. No one place is everything. So when the Spirit feels you've learned whatever you've needed to learn from whatever you've been doing, then they begin to move you out and put you in The Void and 42 year old people, especially 42 year old women, between 42 and 52, you will normally see old souls make very large transitions in their life. Some people a little longer, some people a little shorter. But when you keep seeing things that don't necessarily you feel work for you, or somebody's angry with you, or somebody's trying to cause you problems, just bless them and say: I know this will pass. I will get through this. Yes Alfred?

Alfred:
So you can actually say that The Void helps you transition into a new part of your life...into a higher experience.

Hans:

That's why I love The Void Alfred. Because it does usher up the possibility of new beginnings. And folks, in all the years, in all the years I've been in service, longer than most of you listening to this show today have been alive, I have never seen anyone jump off the cliff without Spirit providing  the net - ever. It may not necessarily show up in your exceptions, but the net always appears. When you finally believe, doors appear where previously there were no doors. It's your consciousness that dictates your own pain. Alright Alfred, I think that will conclude the lesson for today.

Alfred:
Hello everyone and welcome to MODERN DAY MYSICISM being broadcast on The World Puja Network. Tonight's topic: "Karma and Your Next Life". Hi, I'm Alfred, the Padawan to the Modern Day Mystic himself. We have a interesting topic. We have the subject and a lot of the questions were sent in by our Spiritual Circle Members. So we have an interesting topic that was requested by some of Hans' followers. So without further ado I present to you Hans Christian King.

Hans:
Good evening everyone. It's wonderful to be back with you this evening. A beautiful day here in the mountains of Western North Carolina. This particular subject "Karma" has been asked in so many different ways by our clients throughout the years and I've tried very hard to help everyone to understand exactly what "Karma" is. Karma is the sum total of all the thoughts you produced, all the deeds you produced, while you were in the human form. We like to say that the Universal Law that governs all things is the Law of Cause and Effect. Now, this Law was put in place by the Great Spirit...by God if you will. Now God does not regulate the Law on a regular basis for you. The Law regulates itself and it's impeccable. It cannot be altered, it cannot be changed, no matter what we think. So Karma, after awhile, produces a Dharma, or a history of deeds. And your Dharma, when you're returning to this Side, speaks to issues left undone, issues that you want to do. So your Dharma basically speaks to how you worked on your Karma. Some of the questions that have come in to us... Here's one: Is Karma God's law to regulate good and bad behavior? No, it is not. God doesn't regulate good and bad behavior. God allows us our own energy to regulate our own good and bad energy and that again is called our Dharma. In our daily life we produce our Karma and our Karma that is returned to us and adds to the Dharma in our lives. So we are constantly working on issues and situations that we might have not come across before and we feel we didn't do right by those issues and we really stress to make certain that we live within the very fine law of good Karma. Now is Karma simply part of your live review? Yes, it is. But you also bring in with you your Dharma so that the Karma would be how you operated in your last lifetime. So your Dharma would be how you wanted to operate. In other words, your Dharma speaks to the things you might have missed, the things you want to work on. So it is the sum depository of all your thought. Now Cause and Effect is a difficult lesson to try to explain to people   because it is the sum total of all thought at all time that operates in and or around you both in this dimension and the next dimension. In other words what is advancing towards you is being produced from your Dharma. So it is how you handle what is being produced. Now if you are a person who is let's say a rather loving and kind individual and does good deeds and tries to think of decent thoughts for other people and love animals and the trees... In other words if you operate in a loving, peaceful place, that is the energy that will begin to return to you. Now if you are an individual who has struggled a lot and may be very unhappy and angry in a previous lifetime, then that energy is being produced "for you", "by you". Now let's remember one thing that's very important. And I had a lot of problems with Alfred on this one. I'm going to go to him shortly. There is nothing being given to us we did not either produce or ask for. Alfred, you had quite a problem with that when I was trying to help you with that. Do you remember?

Alfred:
Oh yes. Especially for us old souls who had ever so interesting family lives. One of the hardest lessons, but most miraculous and freeing lessons, was that you asked for your childhood.

Hans:
Yes.

Alfred:
And once you get the fact that as an old soul you wanted a lot of lessons up front so you could have more compassion and do more things later on in life, then it finally made sense to say: Oh, well yes. If you've been through the easy stuff as an old soul you would want more and more difficult lessons earlier in life...

Hans:
Yes.

Alfred:
So yes, it did resonate with me eventually that I asked.

Hans:
I remember that you struggled with that though.

Alfred:
Well yes, of course.

Hans:
You once said to me: I would not have chosen...

Alfred:
Of course. For those of us who have been 10, 20, 30 years thinking I was as an abused child. It may take a couple of months to get rid of that 20 or 30 years.

Hans:
In some people's cases it may take a couple of lifetimes.

Alfred:
Yes.

Hans:
Someone wrote in here: Can God dictate what you must do? Absolutely not. God is a benevolent loving God. It does not dictate to anyone anything. The Laws are immutable, they are in place - period. We either choose to live within the confines of those rules or we venture outside until we get smacked enough by our own thought forms coming at us that we begin to see: Oh, wait a minute. Maybe I need to change the way I perceive things. Did that happen for you Alfred?

Alfred:
Yes. You have a choice to follow your mind, follow your ego, and then you're just in isolation and misery and pain "or" you can try something different, try these spiritual things that Hans tries to teach us every week and see if you feel different. And basically I came up with a little thing to say: Hmm, maybe God wants you to be happy. Maybe corporations or the western way of being stressed out of your mind...let's try a different way. Let's try to be happy. And that was a little difficult to let go considering, as many of you know, I paid an enormous amount of money to learn how be stressed out of my mind. I'm sure a lot of you also have that situation. So it is a "choice" but it takes a little while to incorporate that choice into your life.

Hans:
So can God dictate what you must do? No. After the Laws are in place and you've agreed to be part of the Law, which is what you do, then God turns loose and allows the Law to run its natural course. Now here's an interesting question that was sent to us: If you have created negative energy through a deed, is it God's will or yours to revisit the issue? Yours. Very, very simple. The Godforce does not "interfere" with the "humanness" of us. Remember what we've always tried to teach you: In that one of the greatest gifts that God gives you is the Law of Free Will. Through time you will learn, through lifetimes, how to regular yourself. You will learn what brings you positive energy, positive awareness and you will learn what brings you negative and harmful energy. But you are the only one, both here and in Spirit, who judges your actions. What say you Mr. Alfred?

Alfred:
Well that makes sense that by following the Law of Free will that you are ultimately in charge of what happens. You're in charge of your pain, your misery, your suffering... You're in charge of your happiness, your bliss, your joy. You're in charge of whether your deeds bring positive or negative energy to yourself or those around you. I didn't know that. I was taught there was only one way and this is the way and that's it...this is the path. And I'm like: Well, if I'm following this path and I'm so successful, why am I so miserable? What we're trying to tell you is there's a choice. You have choices. “Everything” is a choice. Your life is your choice, your Dharma - your path in life is your choice. How you handle things on a moment to moment basis, that's your choice. And that's a huge amount of what I've learned through the years of Hans' core teachings is in every moment, in every thought and every action, by the Law of Free Will you have a choice. Yes, many of those choices are very difficult. To let go of someone you love, to leave someone who's abusing you, to walk away from family or friends are of not like-mind or vibration. Those are very difficult. But it's a choice and you have the choices to stay where you are or go a different path. You have a choice to follow the crowd or create your own path in life. Of course, the ones where you're creating your own path and leading the way, those are the more difficult ones but if you've think about the people who've done the difficult deeds in life - Mahatma Gandhi, Martin Luther King, think of the good that they have done. That's pretty much the life of an old soul. You have been trained young, you asked for those lessons and now it's you choice whether you're going to follow through, learn the lessons and do great things in life. But even though it is your path, even though you have chosen it before you were born, every decision you make determines the strength of your soul. And that's where soul growth comes from.

Hans:
Yes.

Alfred:
That you choose, by the Law of Free Will, what you do, what you think.

Hans:
Now there's an important statement from Alfred. It is very important to remember that no Godforce, no spiritual force, makes us come back to visit this plane. We make that decision ourself based on what our soul has chosen to learn after recognizing our previous lifetimes. The positives and the negatives we say: You know I'd like to revisit that subject. That's not what I would have done. I would have tried something else. I would like the opportunity to go back and adjust that. And that's when I've taught you that you get together with your pals and buddies and with your Guides and Angels and you look at your Dharma and from the Dharma - which is the sum total of all you've already done - you create the possibility of what you would like to learn during this next visit. You see? Now I want to point out again to you that no one puts your lessons in place but you. No one makes you return here but you. So if you want to blame anybody, blame you. And I mean that in the nicest of ways. Realize you are living the totalness of all of your previous lives in this lifetime. That's why I said to you awhile back what my dear friend Alexandra used to say: I wonder what's in this for me today? You see never becoming a victim of it. Because when we become a victim of it, we say there's something wrong. I would say that 90% of the questions that are asked of me about relationships, people already know the answer to. They just don't want to hear it. So the Law of Free will simply states: You are ultimately in charge of what happens in your lifetime. There are exceptions to every rule. We have murder, we have bombings, we have tragedies of various kinds... But even then if you return to Spirit early you will still want to come back to another lifetime and get on with the process. Okay? So understanding that Karma and Free Will govern your Dharma, Karma and Free Will open you up to the possibility of the all the good you are, all the possibilities that you have chosen. I think one of the greatest possibilities is to choose to not be a victim of anything. Alfred, what do you think?

Alfred:
True. That is your mind trying to protect you. That is your ego trying to protect you by saying: These people did this to you. You have to be careful. We have to protect you from that happening again. And that is what isolates you from happiness, Godforce, Guidance, bliss, peace. It is not protection that makes you safe and happy. It is letting go of the past. It is believing that there is nothing more important, or nothing more relevant, than just the current moment.

Hans:
So everything, as Alfred is saying, is in the moment. It is how you react to the conditions that are advancing towards you. So if you stop for a moment and you think: Oh, God didn't choose this job for me, I did. Spirit didn't choose this partner for me, I did. Spirit didn't choose where I choose to live or what clothes I choose to buy or what car I choose to drive, I did. And once you begin to understand that then you become a little more responsible to yourself in the decision making arena. Most people that I have known have known in the beginning whether or not whether a relationship would work for them or not. But what they chose to do is to confuse attraction for a positive sign. In order words: Oh, I'm attracted to this person...  But is it a physical attraction? Is it a personal attraction from the soul? What is this? And rather than take their time and discover what's in the relationship, they head off right away to buy furniture and build a house. And then when it all falls apart, because there was nothing there in the first place, then they get angry and say: How could God be like this to me? And the other person's a schmuck. And woe is me. Is Karma merely a choice whether to revisit an event to grow your soul? To some degree that is true.

Alfred:
So it seems that Karma basically just keeps "notes" on what you've done in life...

Hans:
Yes, that's a nice way of putting it. Yes.

Alfred:
That when you go back to the Other Side and you're reviewing your life and you review your Dharma about what things you did and what things you got to, Karma comes in and helps you understand: Did you them, shall we say, well? Did we do them according to your expectations? Did you create negative energy in the universe? Is there something you might want to revisit or was there a new issue that Karma attracted to say: Hmm, that wasn't in my original Dharma. I did get into a sticky situation. Let me go and revisit that to see if I can do a better job. And that sticky situation was, shall we say, taken "note of" in your Karma? How's that for a review?

Hans:
Not bad. There is a little one sticky wicket folks. And this is the part you don't want to hear and Alfred this is the part you don't like - Thoughts are living things. And in every action, there is a reaction. So every time we step on an ant, every time we send a negative thought towards another person, all that is being placed in the Karma and being attached to the Dharma. And that means that all those things that you have done that are negative or hurtful to other people must be visited upon yourself. So here's the key folks: The cleaner the thought, the kinder the next go around. So it isn't just that you think about a good thing every once in awhile, you need to shift yourself into as positive a life as you can. Okay? Now people ask me: Is there any kind of a Dharma that stops us from being who we'd like to be in this lifetime? And the answer is: No. There's no such thing. However, some people may have to struggle like the dickens to get where they want because there was so much negative Karma attached to them that they chose to work off...they have to work that off first. But it always comes around anyway. So, Alfred on Karma and Dharma are there any questions that you might have?

Alfred:
No, I think it's trying to explain a very complicated subject in a very simple way that would really help people understand that it may be incredibly important to them to focus on what's going on in their life. And yes it is important to focus on what's going on outside and what you do and maybe even less as to what's going on with the rest of the world. Because, for example, you had mentioned that even "thoughts" are possibly part of your Karma...

Hans:
Oh, they are. There's no doubt whatsoever.

Alfred:
Such as if I had a negative thought about someone, then that becomes part of your Karma to say: Hmm, maybe next life I want to see if I can have positive thoughts...

Hans:
Well you will be led in that direction. We actually are removed from some of the  response. In other words, when we're coming back, Alfred, there's automatic attachment of negative deeds to the Karma as you enter, despite all the other things you want to do.

Alfred:
And as I think it was Mahatma who had a very long list of things to say: Be careful of your thoughts because they eventually could become actions. And that's why you do the inner work is that your actions also create Karma and if you have good thoughts, if you are peaceful, if you are happy, then your actions will be positive, giving positive energy. And during your life review you can review your Karma and say: Hmm, I did good things. So Karma basically is, as we were talking about, something that tracks the sum total of your actions, your being, your energy, your thought, your way of life, your reaction to circumstances that eventually you revisit and is brought to you during your life review. Okay? And then once you say: Okay, this was my Dharma, here is my Karma of basically reviewing how I thought and reacted to all of the individual situations throughout my life. Then with the guidance and wisdom of those who are all around you, you can say: Okay, well let me determine if and when if I come down next time what is going to be my new Dharma, my new path in life so that I can address those issues that created negative energy or negative Karma in my past life. I think I can do a better job. And again that's you. That's the Law of Free Will coming in and coming in and saying: I'm the one who is choosing to revisit this issue, to revisit this negative Karma, to revisit this negative emotion, this thing that I did that I wasn't very happy with. I can do a better job.

Hans:
Yes. True.

Alfred:
How's that for a review?

Hans:
Not bad for a foundling. Very good...

Alfred:
Foundling?

Hans:
Foundling.

Alfred:
Is that above or below Padawan?

Hans:
It's right in there in the same area.

Alfred:
It's a form of Padawan?

Hans:

(Hans Laughing) Yes... It's a form of Padawan. I think that will conclude the lesson for this evening Alfred.

Alfred:
Hello everyone and welcome to GUIDANCE FOR YOUR LIFE. This is the Padawan to the Modern Day Mystic himself, Alfred. Thanks for joining us for another spiritual lesson. But before we get to that, a little housekeeping. Just to let you know again that we don't do any advertising. We rely on word of mouth to promote what we do and for you to help us help others. So we are extending our Random Acts of Kindness to Twitter. Yes, Hans has started to tweet! Actually it's pretty impressive. He's pretty proud of himself that he's tweeting. And we're not only doing Quotes via Facebook that are being tweeted, but we're specifically doing little lessons specifically for those people who are following us on Twitter! So we're extending prizes, gifts, audio lessons, and other goodies, not just from you sharing our Facebook Quotes, but those people who are retweeting us on Twitter. We'll be watching out for you. So watch out that we might send you an email and say we're bestowing upon you some goodies from the Hans King Treasure Chest. And of course to get the latest of what's going on, sign up for our Newsletter that we send out once a month. You can always check The Calendar of Events on HansKing.com. You can "Like" us on Facebook or "Follow" us on Twitter to keep up. That's our way of reaching out to you. So that's it for the housekeeping, so without further ado I present to you the Modern Day Mystic himself Hans Christian King.

Hans:
Hello everybody. Welcome on board. What a beautiful day it is! No matter where you are, always remember it's a beautiful day because God is in that day and you are with God in that day. Yes, himself, which is me is tweeting. You can teach an old dog new tricks. I'm trying to learn it, but Alfred says: Don't send it out unless I've seen it first, so...he wants to check all the spelling and the punctuation and all that which I'm grateful for. But he always knows what the intention of the tweet is. You know periodically in our lives, no matter how spiritual we are, we can even be teachers in spirituality, our little human demon, that little meanie that's deep inside of us comes forwards, creeps in, gets through all the cracks and is determined, is determined to take control. I'll give you an example. Have you ever been walking along the sidewalk and seen a concrete building that comes down to a concrete sidewalk, but somehow, somehow a seed got in there. And that seeds starts to grow. And eventually, eventually that seed can crack that building and separate the concrete walkway from the concrete building. So no matter how strong you think you are, that little demon can find a way and eventually he will destroy the building and the sidewalk. You see what I'm saying? So no matter how well intentioned you are, no matter if you teach spirituality, every once in awhile the demon in the humanness of us all raises its ugly head and BOOM! there you are. So the humanness of us has been pre-programmed to pain, despair, disappointment and even though we work very, very hard to overcome any chance of that creeping through, no matter how many walls we build, just keep remembering that little tree that's trying to grow up between the concrete walk and the concrete building. That's what you have to be aware of. It got there, it's still there, but you can reach down and pull it out. And this is what I'm saying to everyone is that you have the power to pull out that piece of dark-side that is trying to overwhelm you. And you know folks, you can be going along and everything appears fine, you're in your life, you're doing your daily deeds, and then out of nowhere there's this little thing that comes up that starts complaining to you: Gee, don't you remember this; Wow, how come we can't do that anymore; or You're never really going to get ahead, I don't know what you think you're doing. And it starts throwing these little naughty thoughts up. None of which children are true. But there is a receptive place within the human condition that allows us to believe "it may be true" and that's where the demon locks onto is the possibility of "what if it is true"? None of what it's saying to you is true. You are exactly where you need to be, doing exactly what you need to do. You are spiritually growing in love, in abundance, human spiritual abundance, because you have set your intention. But every once in awhile we fall off of the ledge of understanding of intention. Alfred, what do you think on this issue?

Alfred:
It goes back to weeding our garden. The slightest little weed, that left untended, can tend to grown and if you're not careful of the slightest weed, the slightest seed that falls into the crack, then you become complacent and allow it to grow. And it's that complacency that we allow for our spirituality to become disrupted. It's called spiritual practice for a reason...

Hans:
Um Hmm.

Alfred:
And it mimics just about every other aspect about being human. You don't go the the gym once, or you don't go to the gym for a year and then expect it to be that way for the rest of your life. You don't eat healthy for a year and then you're fine for the rest of your life. It's taking care of your human self..

Hans:
That's a good analogy Alfred...

Alfred:
...and taking care of your spiritual self. It's like weeding a garden. You can spend your entire life, as Hans was saying, building this wonderful, strong monument  but if you don't take care of the little tiny weeds, then they can very, simply over time grow in the cracks...

Hans:
And Alfred have you noticed how real they appear in the illusion?

Alfred:
Because it grows so slowly.

Hans:
Yes.

Alfred:
And that's what's really the difficult aspect of it is it grows so slowly yet the damage that it can do... I liken it to a tiny pebble in a clear, placid lake. What can a tiny pebble do to this monumental lake? It can cause ripples that can go to the other side...

Hans:
It sure can.

Alfred:
...this tiny little pebble. So it's very, very difficult when you think you've reached a certain spiritual level not to pay attention to the basics. We think we're better than the basics. We think we're over them.

Hans:
I think we think they're self-programmed Alfred. They get picked for us somehow.

Alfred:
Yes, and they don't. They just creep up on us.

Hans:
Yes, we kind of have to have a constant awareness that the humanness of us is out to get us if we're not careful. The humanness of us is not our friend. The little angel that you are, that beautiful child in the mirror is who you are. That's what Spirit sees. That's what They love. But sometimes the humanness appears. And you know I've noticed something Alfred. A lot of times in very advanced spiritual people it is really hard to root that little weed out. It just keeps coming back over and over again. What would you say the practice should be to keep that weed from coming back? Just constant vigilance?

Alfred:
Well there's two different practices that I would recommend I think for just about anybody. Any type of meditative practice would allow a weed like that to come up. Because if you're trying to practice being quiet, being peaceful, and something continuously comes up, then it's in that quiet place that it's going to come up, that it's going to raise its head. And then you identify: Oh, where did that come from? This is interesting. And it's in your spiritual practice that you can identify areas that you need to tend to so that they don't come up. The second of course is through Automatic Writing. For those of you who are able to do Automatic Writing, you're able to get feedback from the Other Side...

Hans:
Excellent...

Alfred:
...for Them to point out areas about your life that need to be tended to. For example, we've had a student for a couple of years up in Canada and the Other Side just harped on him for about six months about being peaceful, being peaceful, being peaceful. And finally we worked through it and found very specific areas for him to be peaceful and it's changed his life. So again, the other thing is through Automatic Writing the Other Side can help you find areas that can help you make a lot of spiritual progress.

Hans:
Very good Alfred. But folks one of the things that I want to emphasize to you a great deal is there is a part of our inner child that when the demon comes up, when the day gets disturbed, when the night gets disturbed, we begin to feel guilty for not having better control. Folks, if we were perfect we wouldn't be here, okay? All of you, remember that. And even though as a Spirit we have to use mind consciousness to overcome the demon, the weed, the spiritual aspect of this practice is greater and stronger than the human aspect. You see what I'm saying? To give you an example, if I'm drinking a cup of tea and the cup slips out of my hand with the saucer and it crashes to the floor, does the tea change or is it still tea? No matter how badly it spilled, the cup is broken - is the tea still tea? The answer is yes. You can mop it up, ring it out, put it back in the cup. It remains the same. Your power, no matter what happens to you remains the same. Your inner craziness sometimes attaches itself to a negative thought and can cause you more aggravation and pain. It reminds you of all the things that you're not, it reminds you of all the things that may never be, it reminds you of all of the things  you're missing. None of which are true. Because if you saw your life through the eyes of Spirit, ah then you'd say: Oh, I'm exactly where I need to be. Oh, I'm doing exactly what I chose to do to learn exactly what I chose to learn. This is my humanness that's trying to judge my spirituality. Can't be done. You see what I'm saying? Can't be done. So your job at that moment is to say: Wait a minute! This is my humanness speaking. This isn't who I am. I choose not to go down that road. I choose not to allow anything to disturb my ease. My dear friend Swami  Satchidananada used to say: Never allow anything to disturb your ease because if you do you will become diseased. Put that in your head for thinking. Never allow anything to disturb your ease. Because whatever is disturbing your ease is not true. If it were truth it would flow through with love. You hear me everyone? If what it's saying is true it would flow through you as love. If it batters up against you, if it causes you to be uncomfortable, disorganized, dis-eased, then it's coming out of the negative aspect from the mind chatter and not from the positive flow of the Spirit. What say you Alfred?

Alfred:
I think it really has a lot to with what we were talking about before which is no matter where you are on your spiritual path, your spiritual growth, no matter how much you think you've already done, that you just need to continue making sure you have a daily or at minimum a weekly regimen for going through and making sure there aren't any pots that are boiling over, any weeds that are growing between the cracks, anything that is in your subconscious that is reminding you...

Hans:
Alfred, don't you find that it's very subtle though in its growth?

Alfred:
And that's the whole point is weeds grow very slowly but after awhile it's very difficult to tell the difference between the weeds that are growing and the flowers that you were trying to grow. That's why it's so important to weed at a regular basis is to go through your human consciousness and subconsciousness on a regular basis to try to get stuff before it gets out of control.

Hans:
Okay, thank you very much. But again, no recriminations everyone. No guilt. Grasp onto it as a lesson to be learned. Nothing more, nothing less. One of the difficulties in the way the mind operates in drama is that it creates it. It creates the drama in order to diffuse the spiritual nature of your being. It deliberately attacks your position. But in a very seductive way, shall we say. Just little tiny zings here... And before you know it, you're off to the races. I'll give you an example. Let's say your mother calls and tells you she's a little disappointed in you for some action that you have created. Now rather than say, which is the spiritual truth of the matter, Bless you mom but that's not my problem and I love you. We tend to go off to the races and it calls up all the times we were invalidates, all the stuff, all the minutia of life gets caught up in that simple statement. Which in the first place wasn't true. The amount of energy children that we give to mind conscious that is not a fact, is not true, and nothing is wrong in the first place - is absolutely staggering...absolutely staggering. You need to hear...it doesn't matter whether you're a boy or a girl because the consciousness flows the same way...you need to hear that your own mind chatter is trying to disturb your ease on a regular basis unless you do what Alfred said which is to weed your garden on a constant basis. I watch Alfred walk down the flower bed outside with Bella and the Ole Mr. Eagle Eye is constantly bending down and pulling out a weed...constantly. Every day. Because they will constantly grown until the winter comes. And so by picking out your weeds, each and every day, it may be no more than 5 seconds, 10 seconds, 20 seconds... If you don't pull them out I guarantee you they will grow. And they lie to you and the subconscious grabs onto them and makes them look real. It is, to me, totally amazing that the mind chatter can make something that is untrue look so real. Have you noticed that Alfred?

Alfred:
And about everybody else should notice that.

(Hans and Alfred laughing)

Alfred:
I don't think there's anybody in the entire world that who wouldn't notice that being in human form is a royal pain. But that's the reason we came here is to be challenged. Is to be challenged from the moment we're born until the moment we let go of our humanness and that is the same for everyone. Until you let go of the human form, what we're trying to tell you is that there are going to be issues that come up purely because you have human form.

Hans:
And because you're in the human form you are always susceptible to human frailties. Laugh at it, poke fun at it. It's like I have a saying that I'll say: Oh, get over yourself and get out of your way. Because that's all that's actually happening. Nothing that's running through your mind, nothing that's upsetting you, nothing that's making you angry and crabby is true. None of it is true! You made it up. Those around you made it up. There's no truth...none. And yet we invest all of this time in the appearance of the non-reality. So anytime that you start to, like I say, run your crazies, anytime you let something disturb your ease, remember you have a choice in that moment, in that second you can say: I choose be Spirit. I choose to be Light. None of this matters. None of this is true. I give this no more power and I'm available for this to be removed from me. Alfred used to have a technique... You remember the bubble technique Alfred?

Alfred:
In terms of protection exercises?

Hans:
Where you put yourself in a bubble or the thought of a bad thing and then you let the bad thing go to Spirit.

Alfred:
Oh, Oh! To let go of...

Hans:
That really helped a lot of people.

Alfred:
When you're weeding your garden and you find a weed, a seed, any form that it's in, you have to really remember that you're not alone on this journey. It's not you weeding the garden by yourself. All you need to do, number one, is "ask" for help, "ask" Them to come. But the second aspect is not to deal with the issue as if it's reality. It's not. It's nothing more than a thought. It's nothing more than a piece of energy. Thoughts are energy. Thoughts are vibration. And if you deal with the thought, if you deal with, as we were talking about the weed, the seed and the crack of the concrete, as nothing more than a piece of negative energy then you can take that piece of negative energy, hold it out and separate it from your essence and literally give away this piece of energy to the Universe and say: This is not who I am. I release this to you. Cut the cord of that energy from your essence. Say you have no more attachment to this and actually you can feel the Universe willingly take that piece of negative energy from you. So that's the exercise in general is to not deal with the weed, or the seed, and the crack or the mind chatter as if it's anything more than a piece of negative energy.

Hans:
That's all it is. It's that simple. And have you noticed how real it appears Alfred?

Alfred:
Yes. Just like our human lives appear to be real.

Hans:

Yep, but they're not. They are aspects of our own consciousness that we created. We're not living somebody else's idea of who we are. We're living our dharma with a humanness attachment to operate the vehicle of the Spirit in the human form. Use it in such a way that it constantly reinforces you, it's constantly telling you how not good you are, how much it loves you. Don't allow the negative aspect to come in and diffuse you. So whenever the mind chatter puts out this big enormous problem like the questions today and the process I'm giving you today, whenever it builds itself up and builds itself up, stop it and look for the weeds, okay? Because nothing it's doing, it's saying, its appearance, is real. You can prove it to yourself. Okay? And Alfred, I think that will conclude the lesson for today.

Alfred:
Hello everyone and welcome to GUIDANCE FOR YOUR LIFE. This is Alfred the Padawan Learner to the Modern Day Mystic himself Hans Christian King who is here with me in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. We're down here for a little bit taking care of things but still broadcasting to you as we always do. We're in-service regardless of where we are in the world and we love reaching out to you no matter where we are through Facebook. That is our way of reaching out now through the modern day internet. And we are having a "Random Acts of Kindness" Contest. Basically that would be on-going as far as we can ever tell. If you "Share" and are kind to others and help us help others, we're going to be randomly picking people and rewarding you for "Sharing" with either Audio Lessons, Video Classes or whatever else we just decide to throw out there. Think of it as we've got a big bag of goodies and we're throwing it out to all of the good  little children! How's that for a vision Hans?

Hans:
I think that's terrific. Reminds me of a modern day Summer Santa!

Alfred:
A modern day Santa Claus.

Hans:
It is indeed.

Alfred:
So besides that we've got a lot of appearances. We were supposed to be on a Tele-seminar last Thursday but there was a slight snafu so we're going to be LIVE on a John Burgos "Beyond The Ordinary" Tele-seminar. I believe it's around 9:00 at night. I'm guessing Pacific Time. But check Facebook, check our Event Calendar, check our Newsletter because Hans will be taking Callers. So please check out that Tele-seminar appearance that's happening this Thursday evening.

Hans:
Alfred I did want to thank all the wonderful people who sent in the comments and the kind Facebook quotes for the Lisa Garr "Aware Show". That was a great show which I really enjoyed doing and I thank all of you who were so kind to send me such kind messages.

Alfred:
So moving on to the topic for today which is what we normally do. If anybody's new to the show, the first half of the show is dedicated to a spiritual teaching. Today's topic is "Holding Your Intention". And as Hans and I have found out, it doesn't matter where you are in your spiritual growth, if you are a beginner or medium or advanced spiritual person - "Holding Your Intention" is really important. And during the second half of the show we get to Member Questions and we'll be talking more about what it is to be a Spiritual Circle Member. So strap on, hold on, get in a comfortable position, take a deep breath and Hans Christian King will be talking to you about "Holding Your Intention".

Hans:
And here he comes. Hello everybody, welcome to the show. Thank you all for being so patient during my little recent health issues. I have to say it has been for me a rather bumpy four months. Not to worry anyone. These are simply things that have happened that, you know, time and medicine and positive thought can fix. They just went one after another. So I'm happy to tell everybody that I'm feeling much better. Certainly happy to be back with all of you today.

There's something that's been coming up quite a lot lately in my work and it has to do with "Holding Intentions". A lot of people, a lot of friends, saying they're having a difficulty, no matter how much they believe, no matter how much they know and have sought and been taught, they're having a really difficult time in holding intentions because of that almost sometimes irrepressible mind chatter  that just sneaks in and just chips away and once confidence, once well being,  spiritual well being especially...and before you know it, you're literally caught up in the terrible fear and doubt and crushing opinion of the mind chatter. And so I want to reinforce with everyone today one thing. And that is: You have more power over the mind chatter than the mind chatter has over you. I can remember way back in the day when I also was working on this issue and a very famous Medium said to me: You must hold your intention. You must set your intention and hold it. And she said: It may be one of the hardest things you will ever have to learn. And I thought: Oh no, that's simple. You just say: I'm going to hold my intention and that's simple. But it doesn't quite work out that way does it folks? So many of you I've known for decades, literally, are still saying to me that you're having a struggle holding intention. And it is very, very difficult sometimes when we're bombarded in our daily life with personal issues, things that come out of left-field that shouldn't be there in the first place...friends, family, relatives ragging on you, society, fears...all of these things. Now we have this airliner, God bless those poor people...being shot down and your mind goes to: Why? What's the purpose in all this that's going on? So learning to distance yourself from the appearance of things is the key. It's not that you don't care. It's not that you don't have compassion. It's that you do not allow anything to disturb your ease. One of the things that I taught Alfred was that: If your ease is disturbed, you will become dis-eased. Alfred how does that work for you?

Alfred:
Well that's covering a lot of topics in a very short period of time.

Hans:
I'm good at that Alfred.

Alfred:
Let's talk about “Holding Your Intention”, the topic of today and trying to cover that on a fundamental basic is really what we try to do is help you get a solid spiritual foundation. And "Holding Your Intention" really helps you give you energy, helps give you motivation, helps give you courage. Remember we talked a couple of weeks ago about "Spiritual Courage". Keeping your intention, to remind yourself why you're doing what your doing, why you're on this spiritual path, why you're going, shall we say the grain of society, what your supposed family wants you to do, what your friends what you to do, why you're out there fighting the good fight. It helps you by setting your intention. Now Hans and I have 60 million different ways to help you set your intention. But I think, from my point of view, it really has to do with: Why am I on this spiritual path? What really motivates me to keep going? So that no matter what hits me, no matter what's in the news, no matter what somebody is doing out there, no matter how you feel inside, you can always rely back on your initial intention. How's that Hans?

Hans:
I think that's very good Alfred. I'm very proud of you for that statement. Keep up the good work. Alfred actually has learned how to hold his intention. And for many of you, with what's going on in so many people's life, that's difficult to do. That's why you have a Doorkeeper, everybody. You can always turn to your Doorkeeper. Remember that Doorkeeper we talked about? Remember how we access the Doorkeeper? You can turn to the Doorkeeper and say: I'm having difficulty in holding my intention please. Would you give me a hand? And so now that becomes two of you working on the same issue rather than you just trying to do that by yourself. But holding your intention is the key to life because what I've always tried to teach you, as many of you know is that: Energy follows thought. And if you hold your intention then what you're trying to achieve does come to fruition. Alfred?

Alfred:
And that's another good part of intention is trying to remind yourself every day, every time something happens, that you're not alone. That the Law of Free Will is a moment-to-moment thing. I've really learned to see that sometimes if you ask for help in the morning, there's something that you need to ask for help for in the afternoon to remind yourself that you are not alone but you constantly have to, as per the Law of Free Will - "ask". Ask to get help with this, ask to get guidance for that, ask for Them to give you strength, ask for Them to give you energy. And that really helps that your intention to be of service and be spiritual, yes is there but it really just helps knowing and reminding yourself that the family and friends you've always been looking for are always around you.

Hans:
Yes. This is very, very true. Always...you couldn't... When I was younger I used to say: You couldn't be alone if you tried. You are so surrounded in love and light. Folks, I want to go to a little subject here on this holding intention. I've noticed that so many of you seem to be embarrassed or feel a bit ashamed or guilty for not being able to hold intention and you weaken every once in awhile and you kind of let your side down. It's perfectly fine. The Spirit has no judgment. Lord knows I have no judgment. When this happens, just say: Oh, that's me being human again. That's my humanness coming forward.

Alfred:
Oh, I just heard the funniest example. It's: Even the greatest of Masters burn their bagels once in awhile.

Hans and Alfred Laughing

Hans:
That's very true. Yeah, that's very, very true.

Alfred:
Even if we forget to adjust the setting on the toaster. It's just we're in human form and you have to laugh at it.

Hans:
That's the key right there Alfred is laughing at it. Don't take yourself so seriously so that when you do have a moment when you feel you may have let yourself down, you haven't really let yourself down, your humanness did that. Your humanness came in and let you down. Not you, because you have your intention and you're holding your intention. And you're holding it in such a way that you totally benefit from it. Never allow any thinking in your head that you've let anybody down because you haven't. Your humanness may have skipped a beat. Your humanness may have caused you a little problem. But the essence of you, that beautiful soul that you are which is all that Spirit sees when They look at you, it's all that God knows when It looks at you, it's fine. It's your humanness commenting on your humanness. Right Alfred?

Alfred:
And I think that's where a lot of the issue with intention is - it comes from the question - "Why"? Why did I burn my toast this morning? Why did this happen? Why am I in this job? Why is this happening? Why is this not happening? And that's a real de-motivater. And if you're trying to hold your intention, let go of "why".

Hans:
Exactly.

Alfred:
Okay. So if you're trying to motivate yourself, just say: There's a purpose. I surrender. I trust. I have faith and belief. All of those things have a very similar meaning.

Hans:
The other day I just poked fun at myself, for instance. The other day I was making some food and I was making some rice. Now I have made rice for 50 years. I have never had any trouble making rice. I so made a hash out of this rice, I burned part of it, scorched part of it, part of it I couldn't even get off the bottom of the pan and I'm standing in the kitchen and I'm looking at the pan and I'm starting to run my stuff. I know better than that. How could I have allowed that to happen? What was I thinking? And I was running all this and suddenly I heard Guidance say: Oh my God you're the funniest thing! And I started laughing. And I laughed and laughed and I thought: Oh you see, you do teach what you need to learn. So all of you, like Alfred's saying, find some humor in it. Right Alfred?

Alfred:
Yes and that really does help. It reminds me of the old simple story of the ant trying to describe the elephant. There's no way us as being so insignificant in the Universe can actually understand all of the infinite combinations that need to be done in order to coordinate us with soul mates, that needed to the coordinated on the Other Side to provide us abundance to manifest something on This Side, all of the infinite combinations of karma and past lives and soul mates to help coordinate those experiences that we asked for. So instead of stressing yourself, instead of getting depressed, I think one of the best ways to hold your intention is to surrender and just say: I have faith and belief. And it is through having the faith and belief that the Other Side says: Aah, now this person is ready. They've surrendered. They're not controlling. They have trust and belief in what we're doing. They're not fussing. Okay? So if you want to feel better, if you want to keep your intention, if you want to keep things rolling in the way that they're supposed to, let go, surrender and trust that those who watch over you have your highest good in mind and your life is unfolding the way it's supposed to unfold.

Hans:
Absolutely. And you know folks, Alfred pointed out something very important - have trust. Know that you already are perfect in God's eyes. You haven't let anyone down. It's just your humanness and trust that Spirit has no judgment, sees you are already perfect, and laughs with you when you laugh with you. Don't take yourself so serious. Try to find some humor. Holding intention may be actually folks, one of the hardest things you'll ever do in your life. Because it's a constant. Because the mind chatter is so prevalent in your former way of being that it actually slips in when you're not even looking. I know people here in this wonderful audience of ours who've been with me 20, 30 years who still find themselves slipping and going back into what I used to call "running their crazies". Okay? And they still do it. But the key right now is to remember that you're not doing it - your mind chatter is. You're perfect. Oops, there goes my humanness again. Try saying that: Oops, there's go my humanness again. And laugh at it. Giggle at it. Because Spirit already knows what your intention is therefore the intention is what they look at not what you are currently doing or your humanness is currently doing. Alfred?

Alfred:
If I may steal an observation from somebody I had a session with this morning actually is that humanness is like a magnet. It just constantly pulls on you.

Hans:
It sure does.

Alfred:
And when you let your guard down, it is so easy to slip back into humanness. Now do you get mad at yourself because you slipped in or do you just go back to doing your regular practices? And that's it, not to get upset, just to say: Ooop, yep, I'm in human form, this is going to continue until I let go of this body. And that's basically it. And it's a huge difference between beating yourself up and just saying: Oh, well yeah I'm in human form. Um, should I tell the "Hole in the road joke"?

Hans:
Sure. I love that.

Alfred:
Hole in the road joke. This was one of Hans' first teachings and it's so relevant to when I first started out as the Padawan and I think it fits in with intention and motivation. You fall in a hole in the road and you ask yourself: What the heck was that? How did I fall in the hole in the road? And you start looking for holes and BAM! you fall in another hole in the road. And you're like: Okay, this is getting a little ridiculous. And you look a little harder and you say: I see a hole in the road and you still fall in the hole in the road. So you see a hole in the road and you're trying to go around it, trying to go around it, and you still fall in the hole in the road. And then finally you get the hang of it. You see the hole in the road, you walk all the way around it and as you're congratulating yourself, you fall in the next hole in the road. (Alfred and Hans Laughing) Do you get mad at yourself or do you just laugh? Because as we like to say: You're not going to be done with your lessons until you dissolve and become Buddha...

Hans:
You'll keep falling in the holes in the road.

Alfred:
So you're going to keep falling in the holes in the road. So I think on of the best ways to keep your intention is just to laugh. It's so hard when you get depressed, it's so hard when you get angry, it's so hard when you see something as you perceive to be happening in your life to drag yourself out of it and laugh at it but I think that was one of the greatest ways to hold your intention.

Hans:
It really is. And folks, being kind to you, when setting intentions...your intention is to hold your intention. Okay? Find a place in you that allows for you to not be humanly perfect. You're spiritually perfect. Find the humor in your humanness and what it does to you from time to time. Just laugh at it. It's funny. Because you know the mind chatter just makes up everything. It has no rhyme nor reason. It always thinks it's correct, it always thinks it knows best, and it keeps driving you into the hole in the road. And then it tries to explain why it drove you into the hole in the road...it was somebody else's fault. All of these little parables, all of these things that we try and teach you are meant to help you to understand that you are simply baby angels in the human form. Therefore again you are susceptible to human frailties.

Alfred:
So that reminds me of an exercise that I give to my students of the Automatic Writing and Channeling Class that if you're looking to reconnect to the vibration of the Other Side, if something's knocked you off and you're trying to re-set your intention, go for a walk in nature. You may be grumpy, you may be miserable, but there is something about connecting to nature, connecting specifically to that vibration and energy that re-connects you with Spirit, that calms you down, helps you to become peaceful, helps you become centered. And whatever problem there was just seems to dissolve when you connect with the peacefulness and  harmony of nature. Even if it's as simple as sticking your nose 2 inches from a flower and just admiring the miracle of the flower itself. Try that if you need to re-set your intention.

Hans:
Speaking of that I was reminded of something that I saw on the internet yesterday. These two gentlemen were fishing near Cabo San Lucas in Mexico and they saw this turtle, about a medium sized turtle and the turtle was all tangled up in fishing line. And he was about to drown. He was in bad shape and they got in the water with their cameras and they went and they untangled the turtle and the turtle didn't look all that good...he looked like he was really exhausted. And he started to swim away. And then he stopped, and he came back and he swam right up to the gentleman who had untangled him, went right up to his mask and knocked on the mask with his little nose and stayed there for just maybe 30 seconds as if to say thank you. Folks, the power...the power of intention...that turtle, no matter how disoriented he was, no matter how confused and upset he was, his intention was to swim back and thank that man for saving him. There's a beauty in setting intention and sometimes, sometimes when the mind chatter interferes with our intention to hold our intention, we just have to laugh at it. Don't take it too seriously. But it's been coming up Alfred an awful lot with my clients lately and I don't know whether it's to do with anything you know in the stars or modern day society concerns but I hoped this has helped today. Anything before we close Alfred?

Alfred:
No. I think that's a pretty good summary Hans.

Hans:
I think so. And that my friends will conclude the lesson for today.
