Topic: The Internet and Social Media
March 14, 2015

HANS:
Hello everybody. Our topic for today is "The Internet and Social Media." This is an interesting topic and there are sub-topics. I believe, Alfred, that's what you're going to ask me are the sub-topics. Is that right?

ALFRED:
Yes.

HANS:
But before I ask Alfred to do that, I'd like to let you know how Spirit feels about the internet - Not too good. They like the fact that we all are on this wonderful highway in the sky. But what They don't understand is why we are so willing to turn loose of all of ourself and put ourself out there on the internet that way.

And Alfred, under that, I believe you have a couple of topics. But you may want to look folks, because what Spirit has said to me is that in time, people will start pulling back and pulling away from the Internet on their personal life. Because to put out your information and where you are and what bank you're going to and who you're having an affair with and where you are at this moment has caused an awful lot of concern for an awful lot of families.

So, Alfred, under that particular heading, what are the some of the sub-title questions?

ALFRED:
A lot of it has to do with thinking that your behavior and interacting on social media are different. And what we're going to try to tell you is - really think about it because it's not your behavior. It's how you're interacting with other people. For example, the first topic that we'd like you to think about when interacting over the internet or via social media is: Whatever you're doing - is it kind?

HANS:
Yes. If you're using the Internet to gossip, if you're using the Internet to talk another person down, things that you may not want to say to their face, then the internet is not for you. That's not where you want to be. If you're using the Internet to judge another person, or to share gossip you heard from someone else, the Internet is probably not for you. If you're looking to hurt someone who may have hurt you, the Internet, the social media stuff, is not for you.

Look at what you're doing, what you're saying, and why. In order to be one with Spirit you have to hold yourself very close to your heart chakra. And when you start to give away bits and pieces of you on the internet, for whatever purpose, whatever reason...and Alfred and I will be going into those areas in just a moment...but it doesn't matter. Then you are, what we would say: Then you become a tad bit scatty. Your energy becomes scattered. And once that happens, you get caught in a spiral that you send this out, and somebody sends something back and someone says: Oh, they shared that...

And pretty soon what you said, is all over the world, without your permission. That dilutes your spiritual base. It's alright to surf the internet, it's alright to watch cooking shows, it's alright to join Audubon, it's alright to use Discovery and all. That's wonderful. That is educational, sharing. But when you use the Internet like some of these reality shows that are on television, to listen to gossip, to spread misinformation so that someone would think that you know more, then you're again diluting your spiritual base. And you want to be very careful of that.

Remember one of the great wisdom's from The Christ was: Learn to be in the world but not of it. Make certain that you're not spending so much time on social media that you have lost who you actually are and in some cases wanting permission from others that you don't even know.

ALFRED:
And along those lines, we want to always be considerate. Whether we're in the human world or Internet world, of whether you're dealing with ego. So when I'm posting something, am I boasting? Am I in ego? Am I in image? How's that one Hans?

HANS:
Very true. It's very true. It's very, very true. Are you being kind? When you're sending an email to someone, are you sending it with affection, are you sending it because you feel this person needs to know something that you saw on the television or you heard that might affect them in some fashion, or are you gossiping?

ALFRED:
Or are you talking about yourself?

HANS:
Yes.

ALFRED:
How wonderful you are...

HANS:
You become verbose and... Exactly, Alfred. Are you just trying to show people that you're very smart and you know a lot? Where are you coming from when you use social media?

ALFRED:
Yes. What we're trying to say is, in these things, don't behave differently just because you think you're just typing it and posting a picture. Most spiritual people know that ego is really not the best thing. If you're boasting about yourself, if your boasting about your pot, things that you've accomplished, if your posting pictures of yourself... Really, are you being spiritual or are you promoting ego?

HANS:
And I want to say something to all of you. What is with these selfies? How ego based is everybody getting? Posting pictures of yourself here, pictures of yourself there, pictures of yourself with your girlfriends at a shopping mall... I've seen people recently, when Alfred and I were in Mexico, we saw a young man walking around with one of those cameras on a pole taking pictures of them walking, taking pictures of them talking with people, some of them he didn't even know. And you have to ask yourself: What have we done that makes our people so insecure that they have to get approval from people they don't even know in order to feel better about themselves? Okay? We need to look at 'why' we need to do this.

ALFRED:
And along those lines is it that you're trying to seek approval?

HANS:
Absolutely.

ALFRED:
Are you trying to feel better because of what you're posting? Are you seeking someone's approval? How's that one Hans?

HANS:
It's the truth. This is a big one. Why do you feel you need to have the approval of people you don't even know...that you don't love? Why are you trying to impress other people? Why? So someone can say something about you that you don't believe in yourself? That's the moment that you stop and say: Wait a minute. Hold on. I'm better than this.

People poke fun at me and laugh at me because I still have a flip phone. And one of the reasons I have a flip phone is I'm not interested in all that other stuff. I'm not interested in things that invade my privacy; not interested in it. And now Alfred, you can expand on this, now I just saw on CNN that every time you buy a cellphone there is a paging thing in there that anybody can trace where you are.

ALFRED:
Yes, yes.

HANS:
Is this what you really want in your life? That everybody knows where you are at all times? Where is your self-ego? Where is your self-esteem people? You can see I'm on a soap-box about this. But it's driving Spirit crazy that we are losing our individuality. Our spiritual individuality is being sold to the Internet. Just like those coupon things that you clip on your key chain when you go to the market and they say: Here you get this discount. That is a scam people. That is meant to track where you bank, it's meant to track what you buy, where you get your mail, and how to advertise to you.

Have we reached a point where we are so insecure that we feel better being lemmings than individuals? That is not spiritual. That is not a spiritual nature. You see? That's not a spiritual nature. Yes, Alfred? I think everyone's going to be probably crabby with me at the end of the show.

ALFRED:
Well, these are questions we really want you to contemplate. Not just as a spiritual being when you're interacting with humans but when you're out surfing, do you use the internet... Here's a good one - are you looking for something better 'out there?'

HANS:
Oh, yes.

ALFRED:
How's that one Hans?

HANS:
Well it's the truth, isn't it. We're looking for something beyond our experience,  because we've put ourself in limitation. Today Alfred and I were out running some errands and I watched him and as we went around the corner... You know we live in a place where the mountain literally touches the ground and you can walk up and touch the base of the mountain. It just comes out of the rocks straight up. A huge mountain, Mount San Jacinto. And he went: Wow! And he didn't see that I saw that. And I knew what he was saying: Can you believe that? Look at that mountain and I can go up and put my hand on it. There's something to look for.

We have a little baby bunny here in the back that lives around the rose garden.  And he comes out and he just looks all around and he uses the thorns in the roses in order to safeguard himself against coyotes and owls. And just wondering at God's handiwork. Wondering at the blessing of who you are. Opening yourself up to all the possibilities of you. Or are you on the Internet?

Folks, I am on a soap-box but this is what I saw the other day. So Alfred and I were out with some people and the people next to us, a family of five, count them...from the second they sat down they had their iPhone things out...I'm not up on the iPhones but Alfred, what are those called? Um, android types of things... And they sat down and the waiter had to come three times to ask them what they wanted, because they wouldn't get off long enough to tell the waiter what they wanted. Then they complained that the food hadn't been delivered. But they forgot that they hadn't ordered. And then during the meal they all used their devices through the entire meal and never spoke to each other one single time, stood back up, walked out and into the parking lot still on the phones. Wow...

ALFRED:
That's actually a really good point. They're looking for something better out on the Internet. When they realize the most important thing in terms of a loving, caring relationship is sitting across the table from them...

HANS:
Exactly.

ALFRED:
So the whole point of this one is if you're out there looking for something better, what are you not doing? You're not paying attention to what is really important 'to' you.

HANS:
Which actually, Alfred, is you.

ALFRED:
Yes, well you and a relationship sitting down...

HANS:
Yes. And if you're sitting down with a friend, a buddy, a lover, whoever you're with at the moment, you're sitting down to be with them. Then for the love of Heaven, turn those devices off or leave them in the car. But that has now, Alfred, become 'fearful' for people to do. I see people run back into restaurants and say: Oh, wait a minute I forgot my cellphone. They really mean their Android or iPhone. That is how connected we are now to getting approval. Which is, Alfred, what you started out with in the first place. Seeking approval.

ALFRED:
Does anybody love me? Did I receive an email? Did I receive...

HANS:
Alfred has a joke that he uses every morning, kids. And after breakfast he'll say: I wonder if anybody still loves me. And he'll turn his phone on to see. (Laughing) But it's getting serious people. People are dying because of comments about them on the internet. Kids are killing themselves. This is serious. Gossip and innuendo... It's time to pull back in.

Use your device. Of course you can use your device, of course you can send your friend an email, of course you can look something up. Absolutely. But I'm on my way to the bank and here's where I'm going and I'm going to take out $40.00... What are you - insane? Are you insane? What is the matter folks? Stop that. Pull yourself back into yourself. Find something that's meaningful and rewarding in your life.

ALFRED:
And that's a really good lead in to our last topic for today - is this a moment to protect? In other words maybe you shouldn't share what you're doing in this moment.

HANS:
Exactly! Exactly, Alfred. I have seen and heard some of the most outrageous things that people share. Senators emailing pictures of their private parts. Excuse me. What have we come to? It's time to find out what privacy looks like again. Because, I'm pointing out to you kids once again, we are losing our spiritual individuality and identity because of those devices.

You can be as spiritual as you want in your head. But if you're using those devices to dilute the essence of who you are, you are not the spiritual person you are thinking you are. And I'm sorry if I sounded crabby. But I'm not. I'm just concerned. I'm concerned for everybody who cannot get off their iPhones. That worries me.

ALFRED:
Yes, and what I tried to bring to the conversation is the difference between your behavior, the way you watch it when you're interacting with the human world spiritually, really shouldn't be that different when you're interacting out on the Internet and in social media. Don't view it as a chance to do something different, view it as: Am I being consistent in who I am regardless of who or how I'm interacting.

HANS:
Exactly. I wanted to thank my friend Dan for asking us to do this. I think we've done one other of these as well. And Dan it's very important to me that you continue to monitor this for me. But it's a very good topic folks. Learn who you are, hold it close to you. Don't cheapen your soul. Okay?

And folks, I want everybody to remember, once again, that God does not love anyone more in this world than you. Take care and we will see you next week. Bye, bye.

So for this week's topic "Beyond the Void" - I present to you the Modern Day Mystic himself Hans Christian King.

Hans:
Good afternoon everybody. How nice to be back with you again. This is a subject that I've heard from so many of you: Well what do I do with The Void? What's going to happen to me when The Void is over? How did I get into The Void? And throughout the years, I've tried to explain to you how important the Void is. Because at a certain time in your life... By the way Alfred, this is coming from some of our listeners, isn't that right?

Alfred:
That's true. This topic was sent in by one of our Spiritual Circle Members. Now you don't have to be a Spiritual Circle Member to send in a topic. But this was from one of our newer Spiritual Circle Members. And if you'd like to submit a question, you can submit it via the Radio Show Page, submit it via Contact Us.  But if you'd like us to talk about something that you deal with, send it in and it may be one of the topics that we're talking about.

Hans:
Absolutely. And for everyone that I have ever known, there is a certain time in one's life, and this can occur once, but usually about two to three times in somebody's life this happens,  when the plan they've been working on, when the life they've been living, for whatever reason, appears to start getting disconnect energy. It feels like: Hm-mm, I don't know...Am I on the right track?...This isn't quite what I thought it was going to be...I feel I've done all I can do with this... And we begin to sort of back away a little bit. That's the Spirit encouraging us to look at our chalkboard. Is it full? Well, if in fact you are feeling disconnected, the board is full.

There are things on the board you don't want to change. Or shall I say, are very reluctant to change. And so it can be a little off-putting. It can be a little fearful as you watch things begin to disappear...energies, people, jobs, relationships, children, parents... All kinds of things begin to get sort of thrown into a top-hat. It's like "I'm out of control", "I don't seem to be able to get anything to work", and the more you try to fix it, the worst it gets.

Now I've talked a lot about The Void in the past. But again we do get questions from people saying: Well, what do I do? First of all, if you're in The Void, sit down, be quiet and recognize you're in The Void. Oh, this is scary. You have a process of letting go about to develop. And this alone scares many, many people. I talked to a lovely lady today and I had to let her know that she had to let go. And she said: How do you let go of your perceptions? That's very hard because our perceptions are so entrenched in us, our perception of our parents and how they should be, of our lovers how they should be, of our children, our bosses, our employees, our dog, our cat... We have a perception of how they need to interact in our life so we can feel good about ourself and feel safe. But sometimes folks, we come to the end of the old movie that has been playing as our life and Spirit says... I think I told you all...when I was much younger...they do it to this day. When I am to disconnect from something, the Spirit will suddenly, out of nowhere, say to me: Hans, time to go now son. And I know that at that moment, what I've been doing is about to change. Time to go now.

And so somewhere deep inside of you, you can hear that: Time to go. Time to disengage. But there is this thing that you've heard me say throughout the years that you've been with me and that is that we tend to be frightened of the unknown. We have this tendency, I like to say, of putting a demon or a dragon in the unknown and how can we be afraid of something we don't know? It's really interesting. So when one comes to The Void, it is time to be peaceful and safe.

Alfred, I'm going to bring you in about here. I know in your teachings... How does this work with you?

Alfred:
Well that was a good explanation of what is The Void and basically how you  recognize it is simply that stuff that has been part of your life for a really long time, for most of the time for no reason, it just starts to fade away. And the more you try to grab at it, the more it try to pulls away from you. That's basically The Void. The Void is Spirit purposely taking things from us. Okay? And a lot of us are concerned about why Spirit we purposely take things from us and even if we could understand, how most of the time we don't, so a lot of the questions have to come from: Okay, we understand what The Void is but how do we listen to Guidance to know that they're taking things from us? How do we work with Guidance in order to get through The Void and not extend it?

Hans:
Well part of what we need to learn how to do Alfred is to help people to understand that when you're in The Void nothing is wrong. Get that craziness out of your head. Nothing is actually wrong. But when you're in the human form and The Void starts and you have to start letting go of things, I think it's just fine to go ahead and have a good moan. Lord knows I do. You may not like what is happening, but you have to understand it's to your highest good. So, when you're in The Void and you sit down, you must learn to be still. You must calm the mind chatter and say: Okay, where to from here? I'm prepared. Present me with the doors and I will follow.

Alfred:
So as Spirit is taking things from us, which apparently they would be purpose for our highest good, how do people look at this as an opportunity?

Hans:
Because Alfred, if you have a board that is the board of your life and you write on it, at a certain place there's no place left on the board to write. You have to erase the board or you have no place to go. So letting go is getting. Most people don't know that. If I'm right-handed, and I need to pick up a glass of water and I'm holding a pen in my hand, what do I have to do with the pen? Both serve me, but I have to put one of them down. You put down what you're holding onto in the moment. And in the process of putting it down there is the power of trust that comes forward. The lesson of trust that if I put down the pen will I be able to pick up the water and then again will I be able to pick up the pen?

So when you're going through The Void Alfred, there's two sets of fears. The first fear is the fear of disconnect from what you have as the known. So the minute that starts to disconnect, fear, doubt, confusion, anxiety come up. And then on the other side of that is the fear of the unknown, the fear of The Void, what if nothing happens, what if I go through all the process of letting go, letting God, all of that good stuff, what if I do that and there's nothing over on the other side?

Alfred:
Let's pick a topic that a lot of people can relate to. A huge part of The Void happens to be around relationships. How many times Hans have we seen a relationship that Spirit said: You know what, it's better that you two are not together.

Hans:
Oh yes.

Alfred:
But one of the people refuses to believe that and keeps chasing after, and keeps chasing after, and keeps chasing after, saying: I don't know why we're splitting up. I don't know why it can't be. But Spirit is saying: It's for your highest good not to be together.

Hans:
That's correct.

Alfred:
But the person doesn't follow Spirit's advice. Let's use this as an example of how to go against The Void and what the person should do to go with The Void. How's that Hans?

Hans:
When you go against The Void on that issue Alfred, you drag a negative energy towards you. You actually disconnect from your true possibilities and the more you hang on, the more what you want will disappear. Because the energy that supported the relationship in the old is over. And the more you hold onto, the tighter your grasp of it is, the more the new that you were going to participate in, begins to dissipate. So Spirit in its wisdom pushes you back into the old energy where you will stay in nothingness.

Alfred:
That is how The Void gets extended.

Hans:
The Void absolutely gets extended. You couldn't be more correct. The Void gets extended because people refuse to change. They just refuse to. They are going to prove that they are right, come heck, come high water.  And I know a dear lady who I absolutely adore as a human being, been a friend of mine for over 30 years, who continues to this day to go after a relationship that doesn't exist anymore. And cannot understand why the Spirit hasn't opened a new door. The Spirit can't open the door because she's standing in the way and she won't allow the Spirit to do its job which is to close down the old. She actually keeps taking the phone call, she keeps opening the emails... I've got at least 5 or 6 of these wonderful people, and at least 2 or 3 men who do the same thing, and they keep... It's like a therapist would call it a denial. I think it's far beyond denial. I think it is an utter and absolute refusal to see the benefit of letting go.

Alfred:
So for someone in this situation, what would be the right thing to do. How to get through The Void when Spirit is trying to take something through you. What would be the fastest way to do it?

Hans:
Sit down, be still and go to the place of the simple "I am". In this moment, I am peaceful. In this moment, I trust in Spirit. In this moment, I know that letting go of this subject, (and then state the subject), it is to my highest good. I choose not to allow my mind chatter to continue to pull me back into dysfunction. I am now free. That's what has to be done.

Alfred:
Now a lot of times this would deal with other things that we think are real important.

Hans:
Yes.

Alfred:
Such as jobs.

Hans:
Yes.

Alfred:
Okay. How many times have people tried to get a job that didn't work for them?

Hans:
I can't even tell you. I can't tell you how many people I know, and good people in our group here, our little family, Radio family, who hold onto the same job year after year after year that doesn't advance, and doesn't get them any work because they think this is where they need to be because they don't trust if they look outside. Just begin to look outside, that they would find something. And what if they found something and they got into it and they didn't like it? You see? What if they get fired? They would rather deny themselves their possibilities by hanging onto what doesn't work.

Alfred:
You know what this reminds me of?

Hans:
What?

Alfred:
The devil you know verses the devil you don't know.

Hans:
Couldn't have said it better. Exactly.

Alfred:
But what is the devil you know? Your ego, your consciousness, your mind chatter.

Hans:
Yes. It's a refusal on the part of the individual to believe they deserve better. It's a refusal to believe that they deserve better than that. So they give themselves the limitation that they live by. There is no limitation Alfred. None. The only limitation that we have is the limitation that we impose upon ourself. And in The Void, the Spirit tries in every way they know how to get us to disconnect from what we think is our life when it doesn't work anymore. And I've seen Spirit get people let go. I've seen it. Because they wouldn't listen to the fact they needed to make a change.

Alfred:
So the opportunities that are for us in The Void really are by letting go of what we have, we get which Spirit believes is for our highest good?

Hans:
Absolutely. It's absolute. And so when I really think that we need to look at is what happens for us when we're in The Void. What is it the Spirit sees that we do? Does the Spirit see that we say to ourself: You know what, The Void is here, time to witness it. Okay. I know the Spirit has my back, I believe that they're going to take me where we need to go... Or do we, once again, go back to the struggle of: Do I believe that God is good? Spirit knows best. Spirit has my back. So it throws us back into consciousness of fear, consciousness of doubt. When if we truly believe, no matter what appears children, no matter what appears, we know the outcome is better than what we're going through at the moment.

Alfred:
That's a really good point. That's one of the main questions is: How to work with Spirit to erase the blackboard.

Hans:
Yes. This is the key. Be willing to let go of what does not work anymore. We all go through Voids and it's a time when Spirit says: Time to go now. This has been played. This has been done. But what I've noticed Alfred, in The Void, is the huge amount of fear, anger and resentment that The Void pulls up in many people...some very spiritual, fabulous spiritual people that I know, when it happens to them, something's wrong. And folks, sometimes The Void lasts a little longer than we'd like...sometimes. You know a good way to get it to speed up? It's start telling yourself nothing's really wrong. It's The Void, there'll be some changes, you'll be strong because Spirit has your back. I choose to be peaceful in The Void. Choose to be peaceful in The Void. That's they key Alfred. Because when you're peaceful in The Void, you say: I believe in you. I trust in you. I know you've got my back in this Void. Even though I can't see why, it winds up to my highest good.

Alfred:
Here's a good one that somebody had sent in about The Void. Old souls in their 40's, you had mentioned a few times to many, many, many people, that's it around 40, 42 that people transition from whatever they were doing with their life of spirituality... How does Spirit use The Void to help them in that transition?

Hans:
The Spirit uses The Void as a catalyst to say: Alright, time to move on. And they usually hit us with The Void, women about 42, men about 38, who are older souls. Most people listening to this show today are older souls. And so Spirit in its wisdom knows when the game has been played, when the script has been read, when the play has been acted, it's time to go. In human form, we look for similarity for safety. It's nice to go where everyone knows your name. Okay?  It's nice to be witnessed. It's nice to be recognized. It's nice to see the same flowers grow. The same tree send out new shoots every year. It's nice to have the appearance of continuity in one's life. But that's not the road less traveled. That's the same road, doing the same thing year after year after year.

In my life...when I was a little boy, I think most of you know this statement...when I was a little boy I said to Spirit: When I grow up I wish to be a gypsy. And my goodness everyone, I have lived up to that. I think most of you who've known me for some time have known that I have been a gypsy and I have had a very incredible life. Because no one thing holds all our answers folks. Life, true life, is about multiple emotional states, multiple ideas, multiple adventures. No one adventure is everything. No one place is everything. So when the Spirit feels you've learned whatever you've needed to learn from whatever you've been doing, then they begin to move you out and put you in The Void and 42 year old people, especially 42 year old women, between 42 and 52, you will normally see old souls make very large transitions in their life. Some people a little longer, some people a little shorter. But when you keep seeing things that don't necessarily you feel work for you, or somebody's angry with you, or somebody's trying to cause you problems, just bless them and say: I know this will pass. I will get through this. Yes Alfred?

Alfred:
So you can actually say that The Void helps you transition into a new part of your life...into a higher experience.

Hans:

That's why I love The Void Alfred. Because it does usher up the possibility of new beginnings. And folks, in all the years, in all the years I've been in service, longer than most of you listening to this show today have been alive, I have never seen anyone jump off the cliff without Spirit providing  the net - ever. It may not necessarily show up in your exceptions, but the net always appears. When you finally believe, doors appear where previously there were no doors. It's your consciousness that dictates your own pain. Alright Alfred, I think that will conclude the lesson for today.

Alfred:
Hello everyone and welcome to GUIDANCE FOR YOUR LIFE - Wisdom for Your Soul. This is Alfred, the Padawan to the Modern Day Mystic himself, Hans Christian King. He's going to be joining us in a few seconds, but first the housekeeping. I want to say Thank You All - everyone of you has been "sharing" what we do on Facebook. We're ever so grateful for when you do "share" what we do with your friends, and by telling them that you believe in us, you help us reach out and help others. We don't do any traditional advertising, so thank you very much for helping us get the world out!

And of course, if you haven't seen already on Facebook, we have our Random Acts of Kindness Contest. If you do "share" what we do or if you RT (re-tweet) then we will randomly pick people to get all kinds of goodies - Audio Lessons, Classes, and other kinds of wonderful stuff. We love to keep the positive karma going. So no expectations, but we may pick you if you happen to help "share" or RT (re-tweet) what we're doing out in social media.

And for today's topic: "The Pain of Lost Expectations". So without further ado, I present the Modern Day Mystic himself, Hans Christian King.

Hans:
Hello everyone. Welcome to the show. Alfred, can I participate in that Contest on Facebook?

Alfred:
Absolutely Hans, if you'd like to win your own products.

Hans:
(Laughing) Well that might be nice. I could give them to somebody else. You know folks, throughout my lifetime in service, there is one recurring theme that is extremely painful for a lot of people. If you listen, everyone, to the questions that people send in, there sort of is a theme. Now what is that theme? A lost expectation.

How do we get to lost expectations? In our humanness, we from time to time, have a strong feeling in our heart or in our mind that we should know this person or we should move to this place or we should be doing this kind of a job or we should be doing this service work of some kind... And oftentimes, the expectation isn't met.

Let's go to relationships folks. A lot of people will say to me: But Hans I knew it in my heart. Let's talk about the gals first, then we'll talk about the guys. Gals, a lot of times you see somebody, and there's this thug that comes in the chest and you just feel that you know this person, you just feel that you want to have something to do with this person, even perhaps become lovers and partners. And this is very strong, and this is POW! it just hits you so hard. But nothing happens. And the person is very nice to you. They talk to you about their partner or what they're doing, but you don't see a lean in towards a relationship. What is happened there is most likely you have met someone from a previous lifetime. So it isn't just the mind and the heart, the soul recognizes that person. And when the soul recognizes that person, it hones right in, and says: Oh, there's my old friend; Oh, there's my old husband, my old wife... Okay?

But what you're doing is,what you've heard me refer to before as "soul crossing". Where you just go by each other to say hello and be remembered. But the humaneness of you sets an expectation. And when the humanness of you sets an expectation, because you believe, you tell God you would like a response to your expectation, even if God, the Spirit, is trying to say to you: Just passing by.  You don't want to hear that, you don't want to know that, you don't want to project into this. Because you "know", because you have this "feeling". So this feeling of "I know that person, and I know I'm going to be with that person"... A lot of the times comes out of the need to be loved. It comes out of a need to be "seen", a need to be "accepted", a need to be someone's "everything". Even though it isn't to be, for you. I cannot tell you how many people Spirit and I counsel a week just listening to people talk about they know that this person is to be in their life. And sometimes, no matter what I say, no matter what I do, they don't want to hear it.

You might check around yourself, see if there's some things in here that you might be holding onto with expectations that you may want to say: Is this causing me pain? Alfred, what do you say on this? I always like to bring Alfred in when it's like a deer in the headlight moment...

Alfred:
Expectations are a very difficult spiritual lesson. Yet, this lesson can have really profound results...

Hans:
Absolutely.

Alfred:
...in terms of your peace and happiness. Expectation is the mind's view of what should happen, the outcome, in the future. So what you're looking at is getting your humanness, your mind chatter involved as to what it thinks the future should be. Spirituality as we all know is surrendering the future, being in the moment, and letting go of those things that we desire, or our mind chatter tells us we should have. And that's where we get ourselves in trouble is when our mind sets us up to expect something in our life and it doesn't happen. The mind has a really hard time understanding: Well, why didn't this happen?

Hans:
Exactly. And oftentimes Alfred, I'm sure you've found, like I have, that the mind often blames the Spirit or blames God. Why didn't God do this for me? Why didn't God give me this? This is what I wanted. I knew it would happen. And we kind of get ourself in a belief trauma as well.

Alfred:
Yes, and a lot of spirituality is about surrendering. It's about being peaceful and happy in the moment. About being grateful for what you have. Realizing that your glass is half full. Having an expectation is that my glass is going to be completely full, or it's going to be more full than it already is. The opposite is: No, I'm peaceful and grateful where I am in the moment.

Hans:
Very good. Thank you Alfred. That's the key right there - being peaceful in the moment. Not setting an expectation. Folks, do you think the Spirit doesn't know what's in your heart? Do you think they don't know your longing, your needs, your desires? Of course they do. But they also know your plan. They have a carbon copy of your dharma. They know where you're supposed to be and who you're supposed to be with. But in the game of life, as we see it, people come by us, who we recognize and we think: Oh, there's my soul mate.

Now let's go away from relationships for a minute and go to expectations regarding things that you would like to have in your life - a new house, a new car, a new job... Let's go to job. A lot of times we set our expectations for a new position, if we don't have a job, we set our expectations for a job. But when we do that. we also fantasize into it about how it needs to look so we can be okay with it. Rather than say: I'm available for that perfect job that is for me at this time. Not tomorrow, not next week, at this time. Thank you for bringing the doors for this to me.

We set our statement, and then we add all of these little subtleties to it, and before you know it, what was just getting you a maintenance job for a moment,  has turned into this lifelong dream of yours to do this or do that. So lost expectations come about when we set them. So the expectation happens when we say... Rather than say: I would like the feeling and I would like the awareness of this particular thing...and I would enjoy seeing how this might be in my life and letting it go...and I would say: to my highest good always.

So they get it, they hear where you're coming from. You're not saying you're going to be less than if it doesn't happen. You're already enough as you right now. You don't need anything whatsoever. You might like the experience of something. And as Alfred would throw in: And here's how I would like to feel in the experience. That's how you set, what we call today, expectations. Where we don't say: And I want it to show up this way, and I need for this person to love me, and I need this particular job... And all these things that we do in our humanness. They're roadblocks. Somebody wrote, Alfred, I don't know who, but they said: "Expectations are limitations". You remember that?

Alfred:
Expectations are a limitation because it is something that your mind chatter created. It's part of ego, maybe it's something that you saw on television, maybe it's something that your parents told you you deserved, maybe you're trying to live up to the Jones or your friends, and unknowingly you set an expectation of "this is what I want in my live" and it becomes a limitation because everything else that comes across that doesn't look like what your mind is telling you you should have, is now instantly dismissed. However, how do you know what is being presented to you isn't for your highest good? A person that may not meet all of your items on your list may be your soul mate.

Hans:
Yes.

Alfred:
However, you have an expectation written down in your list of what your soul mate should look like and the Other Side presents you with your soul mate and you dismiss that person. So having an expectation, having an opinion, a judgment of what should be in your life and what it should look like is an absolute limitation because then you are dismissing, without even a consideration, those things that Spirit presents to you.

Hans:
Folks, sometimes when we set our agenda, we sort of say to Spirit, taking off on what Alfred was just talking about: And this is how I want it to look, and this is how I want it to arrive. If you have perfect faith, if you believe, then you tell the Spirit what you would like the experience of and that's it...and how you would like to feel. Those two things. I think two-thirds of all the questions that come into this radio show are from lost expectations. If you go back and you listen to all the show... My gosh Alfred, how many shows have we done now? Quite a few...

Alfred:
Four years...about four years.

Hans:
Well that's almost 200 shows. And many of you are the ones who are in the pain of the lost expectation. Folks, I'm not saying it isn't painful. But what you don't realize is why would you want someone who doesn't want you? Why would you do that to yourself? Why would you put yourself in that position? And I hear people say all the time: Oh, I knew that they were for me. I knew it. It's their fault. They're not living up to what they're supposed to do. And very rarely, but it does happen, that's true. But Spirit always has a contingency for a contingency for every contingency.

So if you're supposed to be loved at a certain level, you will be. It may not be by this person. But they bring another person in and you'll say: Oh, I'm so glad that I didn't get first person because this person really works wonderful for me. Letting go of expectations regarding parents. This is the tough one folks. When you let go of the pain and the expectations of the parents, your life gets so much easier. Does it not Alfred?

Alfred:
It really does because then you stop putting energy towards something that might happen in the future. That's number one is you think that thing in the future will actually fix you. If this happens, then I'll be happier, if this person comes into my life, I'll be better. And the reality is, by letting go of anything that has to do with the future, the past, as we all know also, helps you become more peaceful and happy and blissful and joyful in the moment. Expectations are a reflection of what's happened in our past and projects us out into our future which takes us away from being grateful in the moment. So again, it's a huge step towards your spiritual growth to let go of expectations in order for you to be grateful and peaceful in the moment.

Hans:
Folks, many of you run on a time constraint. Oh, I'm getting old, Oh, if I get much older I can't have children, will she still want me when I get to be 50? We run under this fear umbrella of we're running out of time. Folks, there is no time. Oftentimes when the Spirit speaks to you, they say something, they're saying that person will be in your life, probably coming up next lifetime. Not always this one. So letting yourself simply learn to "be" with no expectations. I'm here in this moment, this is the experience I would like to have, I give it to you to do for me to my highest good, and bring those doors to me. Then you're saying: I trust you. I know that this pain in my heart really is self induced.

And one thing in lost expectations, children, never, ever, ever, become a victim or make the other person a villain. I know clients who have made other people villains in their life only because they didn't live up to this person or that person's expectation of how that person would be. So they pre-set the expectation of how it had to be. But the other person wasn't at that spot. But that doesn't make any difference. Because these people say: Oh, but I knew it was for me, there was no doubt it was for me, and I'm coming to stick this out.

One of the biggest things that people do is when they fall in love with married people, or committed people. I know she's for me, I know he's for me, and I know they're going to leave that person, and I know they're going to be with me. What you are picking up is your experience of that person from a previous lifetime and you get confused about this. If a person is in a relationship, you need to honor that and walk away - period. Under almost any circumstance. If that relationship is to be, it will show up somewhere down the road with you having absolutely no expectations, and nothing to do with it. Okay?

Now, as you go through your life, there are going to be moments when you see someone or something you would really, really like the experience of. Sit down, be quiet, and say to Spirit: I don't know if this situation or this person is for me. But I am available if they are. I'm available to my highest good. Please show me where I need to be with this issue and drop it. Make yourself, of course, available in your heart, but have no expectation of how it has to happen, how it has to show up.

I know a person, a couple of months ago, who met a person on an airplane. And they struck up a conversation and he was a married person and this girl felt she knew him and she started running all the fantasies and what have you... She drove herself to the point where she had to go to the hospital in a panic attack because he had not called her. When he never said he would. But she knew it, in her heart, that he was going to call. This is what I'm talking about when we disturb our peace, when we disturb our ease. Okay?

So having a quiet awareness that where you... Folks, why do you think Alfred and I talk so much about being in the now? Making this moment right now all there is. I am enough. Why do you think we do that? Because it's only the mind that brings attachments to the peace. The heart doesn't have to. Only the mind disturbs the peace. The heart never does. So when we learn: Oh, I got to feel something, isn't that wonderful, I'm still alive...

The other day Alfred and I were walking somewhere and the wind was whistling and Alfred's dressed up looking like a polar bear, you can't even see his face with the hoodie he's got on. and I'm in a T-shirt. And he said something and I said under my breath: Yes, but at least I have feelings. I can feel it. Isn't that wonderful? Feeling the cold wind on your face, feeling the Caribbean sand in your feet, feeling a smile on your face when you see a puppy... Those are the things folks, that are important.

So the greatest gift you give yourself is to stop expectations and replace them with a knowing and an understanding that Spirit is here for you. They know what's supposed to be for you. Let them do their work and many times their work does not show up in your expectation. Alfred, what did Mick Jagger say in that song? You don't always get what you want...

Alfred:
...but if you try sometimes you just might find you get what you need.

Hans:
There is a metaphysical statement if ever there was one. So where you already are, right now folks, is perfect. Have you ever noticed everyone that no matter how bad things seem to get, somehow you always get through? No matter how broke you are, no matter how poor you may be in a moment, somehow, something happens and you get through? Have you ever noticed that when you've had a relationship you think it's your end-all, be-all, and this person says: I'm sorry it doesn't work for you. Your heart is broken, it's shattered and on the floor. A year later you wonder what you ever saw in the person because you're with somebody else.

Just being peaceful, in the moment, will bring to you all the lessons you need to learn. So less expectations is less pain. Alfred, I think that will conclude the lesson for today.

Alfred:
Hello everyone and welcome to MODERN DAY MYSTICISM being broadcast on The World Puja Network. This is Alfred, assistant to the Modern Day Mystic himself, Hans Christian King.

Hans:
Good evening everyone. It is really wonderful to be with you. It's a beautiful day here. Actually it's coming into evening here in Asheville, North Carolina. The trees are all out, they're celadon green, and I would like to announce to everyone who's been asking me, yes, I did put roses in and yes, they are looking beautiful. Lots of comments from my folks back here.

For a long, long time there is one consistent thing that I have spoken to all of you about and I know you are tired of hearing it. That's a good sign! But are you listening to it? Can you hear it internally when I say: Of all the things that will destroy your joy and possibilities, it is your own mind chatter. Nothing else. No one's coming for you, no one's going to get you. That one statement, of all the things that will destroy your joy and possibility, it is your own mind chatter.

There is an excerpt in the book that we have coming out that Spirit gave to me many years ago that you should all write down and put on your refrigerator door, on your mirror, behind your front door so you can see it when you walk out, and it says: We live within the limitations of our own perceptions. These are not words, children. These are not simply words. They're spiritual awarenesses. These two  little statements that I have given you this evening that you've heard, some of you for decades... You see how I know when you don't listen to this when you ask me the same question again.

We live within the limitations, now that's the boundaries, of our own perceptions. And so I've been working very hard with you and with Alfred over the last several weeks to try to drive home an enlightening point for you. If you could just do one thing this lifetime to enlighten yourself, what do you suppose that would be? Don't listen to your mind chatter. It is what brings your dreams to a halt. It is what causes you to believe that you need to be fearful, something must be wrong.

I'm going to ask Alfred for a second here. Alfred, when did you notice that you were living within the limitations of your own perceptions? Was it when you came on board here?

Alfred:
I'll give you the same answer I gave you last week Hans.

Hans:
Yes.

Alfred:
When those of us get to be to a point where we can do automatic writing, or channel our Guidance, or receive guidance from the Other Side, you first-hand get to read or listen to absolute truth. And when you compare that to your thoughts, what you perceive to be truth, what you think is true, what you're spending time on doing, you can no longer deny that what is between your ears is taking you in a place that is so small, so limited, so tiny, so minuscule...

Hans:
I hear what you are saying but the question to you is the following: You knew, and automatic writing was brought to you, what about the billions of people out there who don't have the luxury of that awareness? How can they hear these two statements? Where do they have to go within inside of themselves to hear this? Where do they need to understand that all their negative thinking destroys their life? Where do they need to go to understand that they're living within the limitations of their own perceptions? I understand what your remedy is and you're absolutely correct. But for the billions of people who don't have the luxury of your consciousness, how would they make their first step forward without the automatic writing and taking the Intuitive Development Class, because that's what people are going to want to know.

Alfred:
A lot of us are angry, mad. I'll ut it that way without coming up with any interesting words. And it's difficult to understand that we are the actual cause of our own anger. We love to blame other people for our anger, our disappointment, our sadness, it's their fault, they did this to me... That is a human perception. What we try to teach is that we are our own reason for being angry...

Hans:
We're our own limitation.

Alfred:
...for being sad, for being depressed. We, ourselves. Everything in spirituality is the opposite. The body, the mind says: It's out there, it's out there. Spirituality says: No, it's in here. It's what is inside of you is what is causing you your limitations, your sadness, your pain, your anger. And with this one realization, you can go in and start looking for what is causing me to be angry, what belief do I have, what perception do I have, what opinion do I have that is causing me to be angry, that is causing me to be sad? Is it really true that I am causing this upon myself?

Hans:
What I find, Alfred, is that people need to be okay in giving themselves permission to look beyond the boundaries of their limitations. What I have been trying to teach people, lo these many years, is to find a safe place within to say: Yes, I understand that, but I wonder what if. I wonder if there might be something else. And I believe that that one thing, if they can give themselves permission to see outside of the box, even though they don't have to jump out of the box, if they can just see outside of the box, I believe that opens an entirely new vision of possibilities for them. And that, of course, is why I've been teaching this for so long. Does that make sense?

Alfred:
It does, Hans.

Hans:
You see.

Alfred:
And a lot of the discussions that Hans and I have is not just simply that we come at things at two different perspectives. It's that this lesson can affect you no matter where you are in your spiritual growth. Hans likes to teach it, as he said, from a very beginner's perspective. Where would you actually start with this?

Hans:
Simple is best.

Alfred:
Simple is best. I like to look at this from say, more advanced perspective.

Hans:
That's why you were a banker.

Alfred:
Yes. But what we're trying to say is this is one of those fundamental lessons that no matter where you are in your spiritual growth... Because there's a little story that Hans and I like to teach that if you have a very big rock and you throw it into waves, there's 2 or 3 foot waves that are coming at you, and you throw huge rocks at those waves, it's really not going to matter much. But if you, say throw a tiny, tiny pebble into a clear, placid lake, even though you think that your mind is crystal clear, even though you may think you are very evolved in your spirituality, the slightest pebble will create ripples to the other side of the lake.

Hans:
Always.

Alfred:
And it may be something as simple as a thought.

Hans:
So what we're trying to teach you, what I have been teaching Alfred now, he is teaching his courses, what I've been teaching you is that you don't have to be a wizard in spirituality to find truth. Truth is always simplicity itself. Always remember that. So when you find your mind chatter running away with you, just running helter-skelter, remember to sit down and say to yourself: This needs to stop, in this moment I chose to be peaceful. Just peaceful. Making where you are in the moment nothing more than a lesson that you chose to learn, everything is fine.

I remember the anger and all the frustrations that Alfred went through. You want to talk about a madman loose in the world. Remember those days Alfred?

Alfred:
Oh yes. I was mad at everybody for all the things they did to me.

Hans:
That's right. He was an enormous victim of his history. And gradually, I watched him throughout the years bless this one, bless that one, and when they were called up for whatever reason, his anger had dissipated. And that's because he had grown past the need to hurt. And he began to look at things from both sides.

Remember, we view ourself in the world a certain way. We speak from behind the veil of who we are. And behind that veil is the spiritual self. So there's the world out there, there's you in the world out there, and then there is the spiritual you in here. You see? So when you reconnect with the spirit within, and shut off the mind chatter, everything gently and slowly begins to shift your perception. And as you shift your perception, the power that the mind has to create illusion, fantasy, fear, all of this, dissipates dramatically in the fear aspect. And possibilities then... Alfred likes to use the term - the big drum and the ocean. Well  if you start to let some of that oil out, it starts to rise back up to the top. So when you let the gunk out, the heaviness out of the mind chatter, then you float closer to the spiritual you.

Specific things that you should pay attention to, that run through your mind, are you sure that you want to let go of what you have? Now I like to use Alfred as a student to show you some of the ways he had his mind set. I have to tell you he had one of the most severe mind sets of anyone I've known in a long time.

Alfred:
I paid a lot of money for that mind set.

Hans:
I understand that dear friend. However, it just devastated him. He really was caught up in the illusion of Southern California. If any of you don't know what that illusion is, it's called fantasy land, and he was caught up in that, and he was speeding on the freeways, and all of this stuff.

Alfred:
Just think Hollywood.

Hans:
Yes. Same thing. He believed that. He would go out and meet people and they right away would say: What do you do? Rather than: Who are you? And you were judged by what you were doing, and I believe, Alfred, you were judged by  how much money you were making. So for him to even listen to when Spirit said to him: You must let go of this was... How did you handle that in the beginning when I said, you know you're going to have to let go of this stuff.

Alfred:
I thought he was crazy.

Hans:
(Laughing)

Alfred:
That's probably a nice way that I said it.

Hans:
Well those weren't the words you used. They were a little "flowerful"?

Alfred:
Yes. I had a lot of choice words back then that I used very freely. I don't know how Hans dealt with me at the time...

Hans:
Honest to God I don't know either. But he had one thing that all of you need to hear. Because all of you will need this one gem. Alfred had "intention" to look at why he was in pain, and he had intention to look at things that Spirit brought by him. He would pooh-phoo them at first, but then he would always come back: Well, what did you mean when you said that... What did you mean when Spirit said this or said that... His intention was to see outside of the box. You see? And that's why I want all of you to begin to look at the possibilities of seeing outside of the box, outside of the limitations.

Another one that will come up, if you go out there, in whatever out there is, just think what could happen to you. One of the things that Alfred said to me was: If I follow this path, you know I'll loose most of my friends. And that was true. What he didn't realize was the friends that he had were based on where he was at that time. Now he has a whole new set of friends. But the mind will say to you: Yeah, but what happens if you go out there? How can you trust anybody? What happens? What if?

And now I'm back at my friend and how did that affect you Alfred? He's looking at me like oh-whoa-whoa... I'll tell you how he did, he struggled. He struggled with who was he going to be without what he had already built. You see? That's the answer I'm looking for from him. How did he get there? I want to go back to something that I taught him to do. I said set your intention. Have no intention to harm anyone, have no intention to abandon anyone, allow the law of life to take care of that. And there was another one that comes up for all people: What if no one likes you? And I will say to you: What do you care? That's not your problem. That's their problem. Because you are a wonderful divine expression of the love of God in the human form. What you care what a neighbor or someone who works about you... That's why we have that wonderful saying in metaphysics that says: Not my problem.

And then there's this one thing that crops up for everybody. What if you are really not good enough? Now, I've taught you that that could never be true. There is no way that could be true. The Godforce, Spirit would never even look at that because they teach you: You already are enough. But the mind chatter is trying to convince you that you may not actually be quite good enough to get your dreams. Maybe you believe and you believe and you believe in Spirit and you believe in our work and all that... But somewhere deep inside of you, you think it may only apply to others, and not to you. Nothing, children, could be further from the truth. Nothing, because you already were born good enough. We've been dealing with this for sometime with you.

Here's one I just love. What if you fail? Excuse me, there is no such word in spirituality. There's no such word with the Godforce. Fail? That is impossible. That is a concept that was made up by humans, you see? Why do you think I'm so adamant against games - football, baseball, TV shows that have winners. Why? Because it teaches our children, number one-they might not be good enough because they lost, number two-they didn't try hard enough, number three-they failed. Isn't that a horrible, horrible word - failed? There is no degree of human awareness that would ever precipitate the world failure in spirituality - it's a non-word, it's a non-emotion. It is your mind chatter running amok with your human consciousness.

So what you want to hear instead is first sit down, calm yourself, know it's nothing more... When you're really running your crazies, when you're really upset, when you are really just going crazy, calm yourself and know it's only mind chatter - it is not true.

Alfred, I'd like to come to you on that particular one here. You always sort of ran on high octane, remember?

Alfred:
Um hmm.

Hans:
How did you... I used to say to you: I want you to have a whole day where you didn't touch a computer or an iPhone or anything that had a button on it.

Alfred:
I went insane.

Hans:
(Laughing) He really did guys, he really did. How did you get to a place where... You said to me once: I like this new schedule. I get the weekend off. I don't have to do anything... How did ever make that happen?

Alfred:
A lot of the way I managed to get Hans' lessons, regardless of how simple they seem...

Hans:
They're not simple, Alfred.

Alfred:
They sound simple, but implementing them in your life, following them on a daily basis is not so simple. They're easy for us to remember, but implementing them at the right time is another subject. Because first of all, you're taking this very simple thing and saying: Well, that's so simple. I've been doing this for 10, 20, 30 years. We're just going to keep continuing doing it this way. The first thing is to say: Okay, let's just try it. If it's so simple, let's just give it a go and see how it goes. If not, again, we've said this before, the worst thing is you can go back to the way you were doing it before.

Hans:
That's right. That's the worst that can happen to you.

Alfred:
Okay? So, what we say is just try to implement these things, these very basic teachings, on a daily basis, and then you'll see, hmm mm, there is a method to his madness.

Hans:
(Laughing) I had someone, Alfred, walk up to me at a presentation we were at recently and said to me: Hansy, I've been following you for 3 or 4 years now. You know, she said, I thought at the beginning your work was just simply too simple for me. I thought you had to strive, and you had to know all these fancy terms and work with all these fancy people and all that. And she said: What I found out was I couldn't even do the basics. And without the basics I could never work with other people. She said: So your lessons helped me to lay the foundation and that is what I'm trying to explain to Alfred who will build upon the foundation I have given him and put his own tweak on it. And my job has always been to simply say: Yes, you can. And no, you're not. But we have very little built in mechanisms from our peers, our parents, our schools, that look at you and say: Didn't you already know you were enough? Stop struggling. God loves you.

We have a society, right now, that is currently failing. And it's failing badly. We will pull through economically speaking, I'm not concerned about that, we always do. We're the largest economic engine in the world. We will  pull through. But I'm watching...I'm watching us tear ourself apart and that breaks my heart. But you don't need to be effected by that. Because once you operate in and with the Godforce, with spiritual power, none of that effects you. First calm yourself and know it's only mind chatter. Then pay attention to what your soul tells you. Now here I bring Alfred in.

Alfred:
And that's the hard part.

Hans:
How did you get to do that? What was the "click". I always talk to him about a "click". What clicked for you?

Alfred:
It's practice. This is spiritual practice. I don't think, from my perspective, there is a click. There is just an ever, so gradual strength that the more you practice calming yourself, realizing that it's just your mind, lowering the importance of what your mind says, raising the importance of what your soul tells you, raising the importance of listening to Guidance, it just happens on a day-to-day basis. It's like going to the gym. It is not one day you go to the gym and all of a sudden how much you can lift goes up 50 pounds. No, it's every day maybe you lift an extra 1 or 2 pounds, some days you lift 5 pounds less, some days you lift 5 pounds more. But it's just gradual. It's spiritual practice. And this is it. It's the practice of calming yourself. Realizing it's mind chatter and then saying: Okay, now let me pay attention to what's really important - what I need to strengthen, what I need to actually realize who I am is my soul. And that, in itself, is every part of spiritual practice. It's to go within, to strengthen your soul, no matter whether you're a healer, an intuitive, a waiter, a taxi driver, an engineer, a banker... That is what is you're to follow. That is the difference between being human and being spiritual. It's that practice.

Hans:
It is. And when you learn the value of simplicity itself, when you learn that something either is or is not, nothing is right, nothing is wrong, it simply "is". My students throughout the years, including Mr. Alfred, would always say to me: What do you mean there's nothing wrong? Look at the injustice. Look at all that's going on. Where is God? God is there. People choose not to love each other. People choose to make rules and laws for other people. People choose to disenfranchise people, to invade people, to shoot people... Where is God in that? God is not present. And that is the problem.

Calm yourself and know it's only mind chatter. Then pay attention to what your soul is telling you. Alfred, that will conclude the lesson for this evening.
