Alfred:
Hello everyone and welcome to GUIDANCE FOR YOUR LIFE - Wisdom for Your Soul. This is Alfred, the Padawan to the Modern Day Mystic himself, Hans Christian King. He's going to be joining us in a few seconds, but first the housekeeping. I want to say Thank You All - everyone of you has been "sharing" what we do on Facebook. We're ever so grateful for when you do "share" what we do with your friends, and by telling them that you believe in us, you help us reach out and help others. We don't do any traditional advertising, so thank you very much for helping us get the world out!

And of course, if you haven't seen already on Facebook, we have our Random Acts of Kindness Contest. If you do "share" what we do or if you RT (re-tweet) then we will randomly pick people to get all kinds of goodies - Audio Lessons, Classes, and other kinds of wonderful stuff. We love to keep the positive karma going. So no expectations, but we may pick you if you happen to help "share" or RT (re-tweet) what we're doing out in social media.

And for today's topic: "The Pain of Lost Expectations". So without further ado, I present the Modern Day Mystic himself, Hans Christian King.

Hans:
Hello everyone. Welcome to the show. Alfred, can I participate in that Contest on Facebook?

Alfred:
Absolutely Hans, if you'd like to win your own products.

Hans:
(Laughing) Well that might be nice. I could give them to somebody else. You know folks, throughout my lifetime in service, there is one recurring theme that is extremely painful for a lot of people. If you listen, everyone, to the questions that people send in, there sort of is a theme. Now what is that theme? A lost expectation.

How do we get to lost expectations? In our humanness, we from time to time, have a strong feeling in our heart or in our mind that we should know this person or we should move to this place or we should be doing this kind of a job or we should be doing this service work of some kind... And oftentimes, the expectation isn't met.

Let's go to relationships folks. A lot of people will say to me: But Hans I knew it in my heart. Let's talk about the gals first, then we'll talk about the guys. Gals, a lot of times you see somebody, and there's this thug that comes in the chest and you just feel that you know this person, you just feel that you want to have something to do with this person, even perhaps become lovers and partners. And this is very strong, and this is POW! it just hits you so hard. But nothing happens. And the person is very nice to you. They talk to you about their partner or what they're doing, but you don't see a lean in towards a relationship. What is happened there is most likely you have met someone from a previous lifetime. So it isn't just the mind and the heart, the soul recognizes that person. And when the soul recognizes that person, it hones right in, and says: Oh, there's my old friend; Oh, there's my old husband, my old wife... Okay?

But what you're doing is,what you've heard me refer to before as "soul crossing". Where you just go by each other to say hello and be remembered. But the humaneness of you sets an expectation. And when the humanness of you sets an expectation, because you believe, you tell God you would like a response to your expectation, even if God, the Spirit, is trying to say to you: Just passing by.  You don't want to hear that, you don't want to know that, you don't want to project into this. Because you "know", because you have this "feeling". So this feeling of "I know that person, and I know I'm going to be with that person"... A lot of the times comes out of the need to be loved. It comes out of a need to be "seen", a need to be "accepted", a need to be someone's "everything". Even though it isn't to be, for you. I cannot tell you how many people Spirit and I counsel a week just listening to people talk about they know that this person is to be in their life. And sometimes, no matter what I say, no matter what I do, they don't want to hear it.

You might check around yourself, see if there's some things in here that you might be holding onto with expectations that you may want to say: Is this causing me pain? Alfred, what do you say on this? I always like to bring Alfred in when it's like a deer in the headlight moment...

Alfred:
Expectations are a very difficult spiritual lesson. Yet, this lesson can have really profound results...

Hans:
Absolutely.

Alfred:
...in terms of your peace and happiness. Expectation is the mind's view of what should happen, the outcome, in the future. So what you're looking at is getting your humanness, your mind chatter involved as to what it thinks the future should be. Spirituality as we all know is surrendering the future, being in the moment, and letting go of those things that we desire, or our mind chatter tells us we should have. And that's where we get ourselves in trouble is when our mind sets us up to expect something in our life and it doesn't happen. The mind has a really hard time understanding: Well, why didn't this happen?

Hans:
Exactly. And oftentimes Alfred, I'm sure you've found, like I have, that the mind often blames the Spirit or blames God. Why didn't God do this for me? Why didn't God give me this? This is what I wanted. I knew it would happen. And we kind of get ourself in a belief trauma as well.

Alfred:
Yes, and a lot of spirituality is about surrendering. It's about being peaceful and happy in the moment. About being grateful for what you have. Realizing that your glass is half full. Having an expectation is that my glass is going to be completely full, or it's going to be more full than it already is. The opposite is: No, I'm peaceful and grateful where I am in the moment.

Hans:
Very good. Thank you Alfred. That's the key right there - being peaceful in the moment. Not setting an expectation. Folks, do you think the Spirit doesn't know what's in your heart? Do you think they don't know your longing, your needs, your desires? Of course they do. But they also know your plan. They have a carbon copy of your dharma. They know where you're supposed to be and who you're supposed to be with. But in the game of life, as we see it, people come by us, who we recognize and we think: Oh, there's my soul mate.

Now let's go away from relationships for a minute and go to expectations regarding things that you would like to have in your life - a new house, a new car, a new job... Let's go to job. A lot of times we set our expectations for a new position, if we don't have a job, we set our expectations for a job. But when we do that. we also fantasize into it about how it needs to look so we can be okay with it. Rather than say: I'm available for that perfect job that is for me at this time. Not tomorrow, not next week, at this time. Thank you for bringing the doors for this to me.

We set our statement, and then we add all of these little subtleties to it, and before you know it, what was just getting you a maintenance job for a moment,  has turned into this lifelong dream of yours to do this or do that. So lost expectations come about when we set them. So the expectation happens when we say... Rather than say: I would like the feeling and I would like the awareness of this particular thing...and I would enjoy seeing how this might be in my life and letting it go...and I would say: to my highest good always.

So they get it, they hear where you're coming from. You're not saying you're going to be less than if it doesn't happen. You're already enough as you right now. You don't need anything whatsoever. You might like the experience of something. And as Alfred would throw in: And here's how I would like to feel in the experience. That's how you set, what we call today, expectations. Where we don't say: And I want it to show up this way, and I need for this person to love me, and I need this particular job... And all these things that we do in our humanness. They're roadblocks. Somebody wrote, Alfred, I don't know who, but they said: "Expectations are limitations". You remember that?

Alfred:
Expectations are a limitation because it is something that your mind chatter created. It's part of ego, maybe it's something that you saw on television, maybe it's something that your parents told you you deserved, maybe you're trying to live up to the Jones or your friends, and unknowingly you set an expectation of "this is what I want in my live" and it becomes a limitation because everything else that comes across that doesn't look like what your mind is telling you you should have, is now instantly dismissed. However, how do you know what is being presented to you isn't for your highest good? A person that may not meet all of your items on your list may be your soul mate.

Hans:
Yes.

Alfred:
However, you have an expectation written down in your list of what your soul mate should look like and the Other Side presents you with your soul mate and you dismiss that person. So having an expectation, having an opinion, a judgment of what should be in your life and what it should look like is an absolute limitation because then you are dismissing, without even a consideration, those things that Spirit presents to you.

Hans:
Folks, sometimes when we set our agenda, we sort of say to Spirit, taking off on what Alfred was just talking about: And this is how I want it to look, and this is how I want it to arrive. If you have perfect faith, if you believe, then you tell the Spirit what you would like the experience of and that's it...and how you would like to feel. Those two things. I think two-thirds of all the questions that come into this radio show are from lost expectations. If you go back and you listen to all the show... My gosh Alfred, how many shows have we done now? Quite a few...

Alfred:
Four years...about four years.

Hans:
Well that's almost 200 shows. And many of you are the ones who are in the pain of the lost expectation. Folks, I'm not saying it isn't painful. But what you don't realize is why would you want someone who doesn't want you? Why would you do that to yourself? Why would you put yourself in that position? And I hear people say all the time: Oh, I knew that they were for me. I knew it. It's their fault. They're not living up to what they're supposed to do. And very rarely, but it does happen, that's true. But Spirit always has a contingency for a contingency for every contingency.

So if you're supposed to be loved at a certain level, you will be. It may not be by this person. But they bring another person in and you'll say: Oh, I'm so glad that I didn't get first person because this person really works wonderful for me. Letting go of expectations regarding parents. This is the tough one folks. When you let go of the pain and the expectations of the parents, your life gets so much easier. Does it not Alfred?

Alfred:
It really does because then you stop putting energy towards something that might happen in the future. That's number one is you think that thing in the future will actually fix you. If this happens, then I'll be happier, if this person comes into my life, I'll be better. And the reality is, by letting go of anything that has to do with the future, the past, as we all know also, helps you become more peaceful and happy and blissful and joyful in the moment. Expectations are a reflection of what's happened in our past and projects us out into our future which takes us away from being grateful in the moment. So again, it's a huge step towards your spiritual growth to let go of expectations in order for you to be grateful and peaceful in the moment.

Hans:
Folks, many of you run on a time constraint. Oh, I'm getting old, Oh, if I get much older I can't have children, will she still want me when I get to be 50? We run under this fear umbrella of we're running out of time. Folks, there is no time. Oftentimes when the Spirit speaks to you, they say something, they're saying that person will be in your life, probably coming up next lifetime. Not always this one. So letting yourself simply learn to "be" with no expectations. I'm here in this moment, this is the experience I would like to have, I give it to you to do for me to my highest good, and bring those doors to me. Then you're saying: I trust you. I know that this pain in my heart really is self induced.

And one thing in lost expectations, children, never, ever, ever, become a victim or make the other person a villain. I know clients who have made other people villains in their life only because they didn't live up to this person or that person's expectation of how that person would be. So they pre-set the expectation of how it had to be. But the other person wasn't at that spot. But that doesn't make any difference. Because these people say: Oh, but I knew it was for me, there was no doubt it was for me, and I'm coming to stick this out.

One of the biggest things that people do is when they fall in love with married people, or committed people. I know she's for me, I know he's for me, and I know they're going to leave that person, and I know they're going to be with me. What you are picking up is your experience of that person from a previous lifetime and you get confused about this. If a person is in a relationship, you need to honor that and walk away - period. Under almost any circumstance. If that relationship is to be, it will show up somewhere down the road with you having absolutely no expectations, and nothing to do with it. Okay?

Now, as you go through your life, there are going to be moments when you see someone or something you would really, really like the experience of. Sit down, be quiet, and say to Spirit: I don't know if this situation or this person is for me. But I am available if they are. I'm available to my highest good. Please show me where I need to be with this issue and drop it. Make yourself, of course, available in your heart, but have no expectation of how it has to happen, how it has to show up.

I know a person, a couple of months ago, who met a person on an airplane. And they struck up a conversation and he was a married person and this girl felt she knew him and she started running all the fantasies and what have you... She drove herself to the point where she had to go to the hospital in a panic attack because he had not called her. When he never said he would. But she knew it, in her heart, that he was going to call. This is what I'm talking about when we disturb our peace, when we disturb our ease. Okay?

So having a quiet awareness that where you... Folks, why do you think Alfred and I talk so much about being in the now? Making this moment right now all there is. I am enough. Why do you think we do that? Because it's only the mind that brings attachments to the peace. The heart doesn't have to. Only the mind disturbs the peace. The heart never does. So when we learn: Oh, I got to feel something, isn't that wonderful, I'm still alive...

The other day Alfred and I were walking somewhere and the wind was whistling and Alfred's dressed up looking like a polar bear, you can't even see his face with the hoodie he's got on. and I'm in a T-shirt. And he said something and I said under my breath: Yes, but at least I have feelings. I can feel it. Isn't that wonderful? Feeling the cold wind on your face, feeling the Caribbean sand in your feet, feeling a smile on your face when you see a puppy... Those are the things folks, that are important.

So the greatest gift you give yourself is to stop expectations and replace them with a knowing and an understanding that Spirit is here for you. They know what's supposed to be for you. Let them do their work and many times their work does not show up in your expectation. Alfred, what did Mick Jagger say in that song? You don't always get what you want...

Alfred:
...but if you try sometimes you just might find you get what you need.

Hans:
There is a metaphysical statement if ever there was one. So where you already are, right now folks, is perfect. Have you ever noticed everyone that no matter how bad things seem to get, somehow you always get through? No matter how broke you are, no matter how poor you may be in a moment, somehow, something happens and you get through? Have you ever noticed that when you've had a relationship you think it's your end-all, be-all, and this person says: I'm sorry it doesn't work for you. Your heart is broken, it's shattered and on the floor. A year later you wonder what you ever saw in the person because you're with somebody else.

Just being peaceful, in the moment, will bring to you all the lessons you need to learn. So less expectations is less pain. Alfred, I think that will conclude the lesson for today.

Alfred:
Hello everyone and welcome to MODERN DAY MYSTICISM being broadcast on The World Puja Network. This is Alfred, assistant to the Modern Day Mystic himself, Hans Christian King.

Hans:
Good evening everyone. It is really wonderful to be with you. It's a beautiful day here. Actually it's coming into evening here in Asheville, North Carolina. The trees are all out, they're celadon green, and I would like to announce to everyone who's been asking me, yes, I did put roses in and yes, they are looking beautiful. Lots of comments from my folks back here.

For a long, long time there is one consistent thing that I have spoken to all of you about and I know you are tired of hearing it. That's a good sign! But are you listening to it? Can you hear it internally when I say: Of all the things that will destroy your joy and possibilities, it is your own mind chatter. Nothing else. No one's coming for you, no one's going to get you. That one statement, of all the things that will destroy your joy and possibility, it is your own mind chatter.

There is an excerpt in the book that we have coming out that Spirit gave to me many years ago that you should all write down and put on your refrigerator door, on your mirror, behind your front door so you can see it when you walk out, and it says: We live within the limitations of our own perceptions. These are not words, children. These are not simply words. They're spiritual awarenesses. These two  little statements that I have given you this evening that you've heard, some of you for decades... You see how I know when you don't listen to this when you ask me the same question again.

We live within the limitations, now that's the boundaries, of our own perceptions. And so I've been working very hard with you and with Alfred over the last several weeks to try to drive home an enlightening point for you. If you could just do one thing this lifetime to enlighten yourself, what do you suppose that would be? Don't listen to your mind chatter. It is what brings your dreams to a halt. It is what causes you to believe that you need to be fearful, something must be wrong.

I'm going to ask Alfred for a second here. Alfred, when did you notice that you were living within the limitations of your own perceptions? Was it when you came on board here?

Alfred:
I'll give you the same answer I gave you last week Hans.

Hans:
Yes.

Alfred:
When those of us get to be to a point where we can do automatic writing, or channel our Guidance, or receive guidance from the Other Side, you first-hand get to read or listen to absolute truth. And when you compare that to your thoughts, what you perceive to be truth, what you think is true, what you're spending time on doing, you can no longer deny that what is between your ears is taking you in a place that is so small, so limited, so tiny, so minuscule...

Hans:
I hear what you are saying but the question to you is the following: You knew, and automatic writing was brought to you, what about the billions of people out there who don't have the luxury of that awareness? How can they hear these two statements? Where do they have to go within inside of themselves to hear this? Where do they need to understand that all their negative thinking destroys their life? Where do they need to go to understand that they're living within the limitations of their own perceptions? I understand what your remedy is and you're absolutely correct. But for the billions of people who don't have the luxury of your consciousness, how would they make their first step forward without the automatic writing and taking the Intuitive Development Class, because that's what people are going to want to know.

Alfred:
A lot of us are angry, mad. I'll ut it that way without coming up with any interesting words. And it's difficult to understand that we are the actual cause of our own anger. We love to blame other people for our anger, our disappointment, our sadness, it's their fault, they did this to me... That is a human perception. What we try to teach is that we are our own reason for being angry...

Hans:
We're our own limitation.

Alfred:
...for being sad, for being depressed. We, ourselves. Everything in spirituality is the opposite. The body, the mind says: It's out there, it's out there. Spirituality says: No, it's in here. It's what is inside of you is what is causing you your limitations, your sadness, your pain, your anger. And with this one realization, you can go in and start looking for what is causing me to be angry, what belief do I have, what perception do I have, what opinion do I have that is causing me to be angry, that is causing me to be sad? Is it really true that I am causing this upon myself?

Hans:
What I find, Alfred, is that people need to be okay in giving themselves permission to look beyond the boundaries of their limitations. What I have been trying to teach people, lo these many years, is to find a safe place within to say: Yes, I understand that, but I wonder what if. I wonder if there might be something else. And I believe that that one thing, if they can give themselves permission to see outside of the box, even though they don't have to jump out of the box, if they can just see outside of the box, I believe that opens an entirely new vision of possibilities for them. And that, of course, is why I've been teaching this for so long. Does that make sense?

Alfred:
It does, Hans.

Hans:
You see.

Alfred:
And a lot of the discussions that Hans and I have is not just simply that we come at things at two different perspectives. It's that this lesson can affect you no matter where you are in your spiritual growth. Hans likes to teach it, as he said, from a very beginner's perspective. Where would you actually start with this?

Hans:
Simple is best.

Alfred:
Simple is best. I like to look at this from say, more advanced perspective.

Hans:
That's why you were a banker.

Alfred:
Yes. But what we're trying to say is this is one of those fundamental lessons that no matter where you are in your spiritual growth... Because there's a little story that Hans and I like to teach that if you have a very big rock and you throw it into waves, there's 2 or 3 foot waves that are coming at you, and you throw huge rocks at those waves, it's really not going to matter much. But if you, say throw a tiny, tiny pebble into a clear, placid lake, even though you think that your mind is crystal clear, even though you may think you are very evolved in your spirituality, the slightest pebble will create ripples to the other side of the lake.

Hans:
Always.

Alfred:
And it may be something as simple as a thought.

Hans:
So what we're trying to teach you, what I have been teaching Alfred now, he is teaching his courses, what I've been teaching you is that you don't have to be a wizard in spirituality to find truth. Truth is always simplicity itself. Always remember that. So when you find your mind chatter running away with you, just running helter-skelter, remember to sit down and say to yourself: This needs to stop, in this moment I chose to be peaceful. Just peaceful. Making where you are in the moment nothing more than a lesson that you chose to learn, everything is fine.

I remember the anger and all the frustrations that Alfred went through. You want to talk about a madman loose in the world. Remember those days Alfred?

Alfred:
Oh yes. I was mad at everybody for all the things they did to me.

Hans:
That's right. He was an enormous victim of his history. And gradually, I watched him throughout the years bless this one, bless that one, and when they were called up for whatever reason, his anger had dissipated. And that's because he had grown past the need to hurt. And he began to look at things from both sides.

Remember, we view ourself in the world a certain way. We speak from behind the veil of who we are. And behind that veil is the spiritual self. So there's the world out there, there's you in the world out there, and then there is the spiritual you in here. You see? So when you reconnect with the spirit within, and shut off the mind chatter, everything gently and slowly begins to shift your perception. And as you shift your perception, the power that the mind has to create illusion, fantasy, fear, all of this, dissipates dramatically in the fear aspect. And possibilities then... Alfred likes to use the term - the big drum and the ocean. Well  if you start to let some of that oil out, it starts to rise back up to the top. So when you let the gunk out, the heaviness out of the mind chatter, then you float closer to the spiritual you.

Specific things that you should pay attention to, that run through your mind, are you sure that you want to let go of what you have? Now I like to use Alfred as a student to show you some of the ways he had his mind set. I have to tell you he had one of the most severe mind sets of anyone I've known in a long time.

Alfred:
I paid a lot of money for that mind set.

Hans:
I understand that dear friend. However, it just devastated him. He really was caught up in the illusion of Southern California. If any of you don't know what that illusion is, it's called fantasy land, and he was caught up in that, and he was speeding on the freeways, and all of this stuff.

Alfred:
Just think Hollywood.

Hans:
Yes. Same thing. He believed that. He would go out and meet people and they right away would say: What do you do? Rather than: Who are you? And you were judged by what you were doing, and I believe, Alfred, you were judged by  how much money you were making. So for him to even listen to when Spirit said to him: You must let go of this was... How did you handle that in the beginning when I said, you know you're going to have to let go of this stuff.

Alfred:
I thought he was crazy.

Hans:
(Laughing)

Alfred:
That's probably a nice way that I said it.

Hans:
Well those weren't the words you used. They were a little "flowerful"?

Alfred:
Yes. I had a lot of choice words back then that I used very freely. I don't know how Hans dealt with me at the time...

Hans:
Honest to God I don't know either. But he had one thing that all of you need to hear. Because all of you will need this one gem. Alfred had "intention" to look at why he was in pain, and he had intention to look at things that Spirit brought by him. He would pooh-phoo them at first, but then he would always come back: Well, what did you mean when you said that... What did you mean when Spirit said this or said that... His intention was to see outside of the box. You see? And that's why I want all of you to begin to look at the possibilities of seeing outside of the box, outside of the limitations.

Another one that will come up, if you go out there, in whatever out there is, just think what could happen to you. One of the things that Alfred said to me was: If I follow this path, you know I'll loose most of my friends. And that was true. What he didn't realize was the friends that he had were based on where he was at that time. Now he has a whole new set of friends. But the mind will say to you: Yeah, but what happens if you go out there? How can you trust anybody? What happens? What if?

And now I'm back at my friend and how did that affect you Alfred? He's looking at me like oh-whoa-whoa... I'll tell you how he did, he struggled. He struggled with who was he going to be without what he had already built. You see? That's the answer I'm looking for from him. How did he get there? I want to go back to something that I taught him to do. I said set your intention. Have no intention to harm anyone, have no intention to abandon anyone, allow the law of life to take care of that. And there was another one that comes up for all people: What if no one likes you? And I will say to you: What do you care? That's not your problem. That's their problem. Because you are a wonderful divine expression of the love of God in the human form. What you care what a neighbor or someone who works about you... That's why we have that wonderful saying in metaphysics that says: Not my problem.

And then there's this one thing that crops up for everybody. What if you are really not good enough? Now, I've taught you that that could never be true. There is no way that could be true. The Godforce, Spirit would never even look at that because they teach you: You already are enough. But the mind chatter is trying to convince you that you may not actually be quite good enough to get your dreams. Maybe you believe and you believe and you believe in Spirit and you believe in our work and all that... But somewhere deep inside of you, you think it may only apply to others, and not to you. Nothing, children, could be further from the truth. Nothing, because you already were born good enough. We've been dealing with this for sometime with you.

Here's one I just love. What if you fail? Excuse me, there is no such word in spirituality. There's no such word with the Godforce. Fail? That is impossible. That is a concept that was made up by humans, you see? Why do you think I'm so adamant against games - football, baseball, TV shows that have winners. Why? Because it teaches our children, number one-they might not be good enough because they lost, number two-they didn't try hard enough, number three-they failed. Isn't that a horrible, horrible word - failed? There is no degree of human awareness that would ever precipitate the world failure in spirituality - it's a non-word, it's a non-emotion. It is your mind chatter running amok with your human consciousness.

So what you want to hear instead is first sit down, calm yourself, know it's nothing more... When you're really running your crazies, when you're really upset, when you are really just going crazy, calm yourself and know it's only mind chatter - it is not true.

Alfred, I'd like to come to you on that particular one here. You always sort of ran on high octane, remember?

Alfred:
Um hmm.

Hans:
How did you... I used to say to you: I want you to have a whole day where you didn't touch a computer or an iPhone or anything that had a button on it.

Alfred:
I went insane.

Hans:
(Laughing) He really did guys, he really did. How did you get to a place where... You said to me once: I like this new schedule. I get the weekend off. I don't have to do anything... How did ever make that happen?

Alfred:
A lot of the way I managed to get Hans' lessons, regardless of how simple they seem...

Hans:
They're not simple, Alfred.

Alfred:
They sound simple, but implementing them in your life, following them on a daily basis is not so simple. They're easy for us to remember, but implementing them at the right time is another subject. Because first of all, you're taking this very simple thing and saying: Well, that's so simple. I've been doing this for 10, 20, 30 years. We're just going to keep continuing doing it this way. The first thing is to say: Okay, let's just try it. If it's so simple, let's just give it a go and see how it goes. If not, again, we've said this before, the worst thing is you can go back to the way you were doing it before.

Hans:
That's right. That's the worst that can happen to you.

Alfred:
Okay? So, what we say is just try to implement these things, these very basic teachings, on a daily basis, and then you'll see, hmm mm, there is a method to his madness.

Hans:
(Laughing) I had someone, Alfred, walk up to me at a presentation we were at recently and said to me: Hansy, I've been following you for 3 or 4 years now. You know, she said, I thought at the beginning your work was just simply too simple for me. I thought you had to strive, and you had to know all these fancy terms and work with all these fancy people and all that. And she said: What I found out was I couldn't even do the basics. And without the basics I could never work with other people. She said: So your lessons helped me to lay the foundation and that is what I'm trying to explain to Alfred who will build upon the foundation I have given him and put his own tweak on it. And my job has always been to simply say: Yes, you can. And no, you're not. But we have very little built in mechanisms from our peers, our parents, our schools, that look at you and say: Didn't you already know you were enough? Stop struggling. God loves you.

We have a society, right now, that is currently failing. And it's failing badly. We will pull through economically speaking, I'm not concerned about that, we always do. We're the largest economic engine in the world. We will  pull through. But I'm watching...I'm watching us tear ourself apart and that breaks my heart. But you don't need to be effected by that. Because once you operate in and with the Godforce, with spiritual power, none of that effects you. First calm yourself and know it's only mind chatter. Then pay attention to what your soul tells you. Now here I bring Alfred in.

Alfred:
And that's the hard part.

Hans:
How did you get to do that? What was the "click". I always talk to him about a "click". What clicked for you?

Alfred:
It's practice. This is spiritual practice. I don't think, from my perspective, there is a click. There is just an ever, so gradual strength that the more you practice calming yourself, realizing that it's just your mind, lowering the importance of what your mind says, raising the importance of what your soul tells you, raising the importance of listening to Guidance, it just happens on a day-to-day basis. It's like going to the gym. It is not one day you go to the gym and all of a sudden how much you can lift goes up 50 pounds. No, it's every day maybe you lift an extra 1 or 2 pounds, some days you lift 5 pounds less, some days you lift 5 pounds more. But it's just gradual. It's spiritual practice. And this is it. It's the practice of calming yourself. Realizing it's mind chatter and then saying: Okay, now let me pay attention to what's really important - what I need to strengthen, what I need to actually realize who I am is my soul. And that, in itself, is every part of spiritual practice. It's to go within, to strengthen your soul, no matter whether you're a healer, an intuitive, a waiter, a taxi driver, an engineer, a banker... That is what is you're to follow. That is the difference between being human and being spiritual. It's that practice.

Hans:
It is. And when you learn the value of simplicity itself, when you learn that something either is or is not, nothing is right, nothing is wrong, it simply "is". My students throughout the years, including Mr. Alfred, would always say to me: What do you mean there's nothing wrong? Look at the injustice. Look at all that's going on. Where is God? God is there. People choose not to love each other. People choose to make rules and laws for other people. People choose to disenfranchise people, to invade people, to shoot people... Where is God in that? God is not present. And that is the problem.

Calm yourself and know it's only mind chatter. Then pay attention to what your soul is telling you. Alfred, that will conclude the lesson for this evening.

Alfred:
Hello everyone and welcome to GUIDANCE FOR YOUR LIFE - Wisdom For Your Soul. As we were talking about last week, we have a new tagline. Thanks to all of you who sent in all of your taglines and those of you who voted in our Tagline Contest. The one that won was "Wisdom For Your Soul". And as we were explaining is that we provide wisdom for all aspects of your life so that you, a soul having a human experience, can have the best life that you possibly can. That's why we talk about so many different subjects here on GUIDANCE FOR YOUR LIFE - Wisdom For Your Soul. And before we get into the topic for today, I'd like to turn it over to Jennifer to discuss any Events that are happening this week.

Jennifer:
Yes, Alfred. Hans was recently the Opening Speaker for Season 5 of Beyond The Ordinary with John Burgos. And that show is being replayed this weekend. You can check it out at BeyondTheOrdinary.com. That link is posted on Hans' Facebook Page. That's all I have right now. Anything else that comes up for the week ahead will, as always, be posted on both Facebook and Twitter.

Alfred:
Great Jennifer. Thank you for the Announcements. And of course we do our best to announce what's going on the day before or the day happening when something does happen on Facebook. And we sincerely appreciate all of you who have “Liked” us and those of you who are “Sharing” what we do. We do no traditional advertising so we rely on you to get the word out. And we are ever so appreciative of your efforts to help us help others. So for today's topic - "Fear and Doubt Can Only Live in the House You Build". Without further ado I present to you the Modern Day Mystic himself - Hans Christian King.

Hans:
Hello everybody. Welcome to the show.  We are very happy to be with you today. It's a beautiful day. And you know, at a certain time of your life every day is a beautiful day. And I wish that I could help people to understand that every day is a beautiful day. We're blessed to be on the planet, we're blessed to be doing what we're supposed to be doing, and I'd like everybody to hold a thought for our dear friend Joan Rivers as she hopefully tries to regain consciousness after her medical emergency. She's brought a lot of laughs to a lot of people. Made a lot of people really angry. But I think she's pretty remarkable for 81 years old. So I am praying. I hope you all do too. A couple of days ago I tweeted, yes, Hans King is tweeting if anyone can believe that. I tweeted something that Spirit said to me. Guidance said: "I'd like them to understand that fear and doubt can only live in the house they build". I want everyone to stop for a moment and think about that. What does that mean? It means that fear and doubt are an illusion manufactured in the mind. It is not really true. Yes, there are horrific events that happen in some people's lives, wars, accidents, things of that nature... But for most people that does not happen. And some day we will talk a little bit about what happens when those events occur. But for most of us the greatest, probably most difficult thing we face in life is the illusion generated by the mind chatter. I once said to someone: Do you realize that nothing you are saying is actually going on? And she stopped me and she was quite angry and she said: Well of course it's going on. It's this and this and that and that... She went down this list and she said: I've been afraid since I was a little girl and all of these things that could have happened to me... And I stopped her. And I said: Could have happened to you, but they didn't. No, but she said: I was afraid and I was eager to get out of the circumstances. And I tried to help her to understand that she built a house to receive fear and doubt. They're old friends you know. They go out together, have lunch, what have you...talk about how they can best mess up what you're doing in life. But if you would understand that deep inside of you are a series of rooms and doors, love is one of those doors or those rooms. Fear is one of those rooms. And when you begin to understand: Oh, wait a minute! Are you saying to me that I'm attracting the fear and the doubt to myself because I actually have built the room to receive it? And I was saying: Yes. And then you begin the long journey of trying to prove to me that isn't so. Remember all that is coming towards you is coming out of your own fear, your own mind chatter. Alfred would you jump in here for a little bit and tell me of your experience. The reason I bring Alfred in is he has a much younger experience and it is different than my experience.

Alfred:
Fear and doubt really, from a spiritual perspective, don't exist. And what does that mean from my point of view is the worst absolute thing that can happen, that you could be fearful of, that you would be doubtful of is you leave the human body and go back to the Other Side which is reality. You're only here temporarily for the existence of the soul having a human experience.

Hans:
And the illusion of being in the existence.

Alfred:
Yes. And the illusion and the difficulty of overcoming the illusion. So if you think about what's the worst thing you fear...what is it? Going back to the Other Side, going Home, going to a wonderful world of peace and harmony...

Hans:
Well gee Alfred, aren't we all going to do that anyway?

Alfred:
We are. And if you put it in that perspective - what could you really fear? Oh, I may not succeed this lifetime. Okay. Well, you go back to the Other Side and say: Oh, let me give that another shot. And you come back down. There is no time. You can come back down and reincarnate as many times as you want. Just because you didn't do as well as you think you could, fine. You go back up to the Other Side and review it and you have another go at it. I think that's probably the other thing that's most worried about is: Am I going to do well this life? Well you don't have to worry about that either.

Hans:
No, you don't Alfred. You couldn't be more correct. Because you see folks, this is but a "click" in time. If you've ever listened to a Grandfather Clock, "click"..."click"..."click". That's your life. The largeness of your life is that you have billions of "clicks". Now I'm not saying to you that you should hurry up and run Home. No, no, no. On the contrary, what you want to do is hurry up and learn your lessons. You've heard me often speak about: And what makes you think that anything is wrong? Things are thrown at us and... For instance, I made the mistake yesterday and I don't know what I was thinking, of turning on the News. And the 2 channels that are side-by-side are FOX and MSNBC. And I watched one for 5 minutes and watched the other for 5 minutes and turned them off. Because all they are is someone's "opinion" of what's going on. People who have absolutely no comprehension, no inside information, nothing... They're just making it up. You see? And that's what we do in our life Alfred is that the way we are trained, the way life is presented to us as a child through our family, our fears are the fears of our fathers. Our fears are the fears of our mothers, our grandmothers, our grandfathers, our siblings. Our fears were never with us when we came in. There are, children, exceptions to that rule. Always an exception to every rule. The exception being sometimes someone has suffered what you have hear me refer to as "a trauma to the soul". And when that happens, when that occurs, sometimes there's what I call a "carry-forward-memory". That's when I find the value of past life regression. Now I know Alfred you've gone for past life regression and you found some things. And I believe you found it quite helpful. Is that right?

Alfred:
That really was amazing because I remember a long time ago when I was in the Boy Scouts I actually had my Life Saving Merit Badge. I was a Lifeguard. But for some reason during Lifeguard training they wanted us to dive beneath the pier. And about 15 Lifeguards dived beneath the pier to check if everything was okay and popped up the other side and I sort of looked at that and I said: I'm not doing that. And I was the only one. And it just...pure white fear came over my body and I absolutely could not understand why I did not like swimming underneath things. I could swim anywhere. I could swim a mile no problem at all. But not underneath things. And finally I had a past life regression and it was because I had drowned because something had been on top of me like a ship or something.  And I specifically remember the exact same feeling when I went through my past life regression. Now, did it exist? Does it exist? It existed in the past and it's a carry-forward memory but it doesn't exist in the "now".

Hans:
No, it doesn't. And folks, here's a little homework you can do over the next week. If something's bothering you, something you heard strikes a little bit of a fear cord in you, or some doubt arises on a subject, stop yourself for a minute and say: Is this true? Is any of this true? Is this an actual fact or is my mind making it up because I have a place inside of me to believe something bad could happen. But is what is going on right now actually true or is it my mind chatter's interpretation? And if you start to do that Alfred with everything that comes up that's fearful or scary, you will literally change your life forever.

Alfred:
And that's an interesting way to look at it is is look at fear and doubt from a spiritual perspective. Fear and doubt are "human" - I'm not going to have enough money, I'm not going to find a partner, this is not going to happen or that is going to happen. All of that is about control, security. Those things are the complete opposite of spirituality which is abundance is unlimited, love is unlimited, your soul is unlimited. The humanness of us worries about: Do I have enough time? Am I going to run out of time? Spiritually speaking Einstein knew this - there is no time.

Hans:
No. You can't run out of it then.

Alfred:
So if you get into a place of fear and doubt about anything, look at it and say: Am I being human? Am I looking at this from a human perspective? If I look at it from a spiritual perspective can those things I'm worrying about even exist?

Hans:
Excellent. Thank you very much. And that's the interesting thing is is what we're thinking about true? Does it actually exist? Or have I been so programmed that I've built a room in the house of my soul that provides me a space to put that fear, to put that doubt, to put that anger? You've heard me throughout the years...I love this old British saying that says: You see what you look for you know. But does anybody actually hear that? It's an old metaphysical saying that comes out of pure truth - You see what you look for you know. That's the room in the heart that you provide for the fear and the doubt to scare you. I once told you that 96-98% of everything we ever worry about - this is a scientific study - 96-98% of everything we ever worry about actually never occurs. But we spend upwards of 37% of our waking day being concerned about it. Now folks just think what you could do with that 37%.

Alfred:
Be peaceful. Be happy. Be joyful. Be grateful. Be in the moment.

Hans:
Be peaceful. Go to the park with a loaf of cheap bread and feed the ducks. They don't care whether it's cheap or not. They love the carbohydrates. Just do something. Do something differently. Don't operate any longer out of fear and doubt because you are all baby angels having this incredible human experience. Stay off the News. We've got so many wonderful channels out there now from the Discovery Channel to HGTV. All kinds of wonderful channels doing all kinds of wonderful things. We have that now. If you want to watch TV, watch those things. I drive my folks a little crazy because I'm really fond of HGTV. And I watch how things are built, I watch how things are cooked. I like the Food Channel. That type of thing. And that's really, to me, quite enjoying. Alfred he likes his Jeep Building and Car Building Shows. So find something that's fun, that's light. But watch even when you're doing that often the mind chatter begins. Okay? Alfred talk about that a minute. That in the minute of doing something quite wonderful the little devil tends to creep in.

Alfred:
Well if you're in the moment usually it doesn't. But sometimes if you're out say going for a walk, there'll be something...oh your mind chatter, your ego, your program that says: Shouldn't you be thinking about this? Shouldn't you be worrying about that? And it will take you out of the moment and bring you to what possibly could happen in the future or what you should be considering doing or what you could be doing other than being in the moment.

Hans:
Um hmm.

Alfred:
Okay? And that I think is your best spiritual defense is to say... The thing that I do is if something like that happens I say: Okay, if this is a valid thought, I kindly request the Other Side to remind me of it when I'm done being in the moment.

Hans:
(Laughing)

Alfred:
If it's not a valid thought then They're not going to remind me.

Hans:
(Still Laughing) That's right. Get the heck away from me... Folks find always the humor in how you succumb to the mind chatter. Make it funny. Make it a joke. You know every once in awhile I'll say: Oh, there you go again silly thing! There you go again. So even in my life and all the teachers I know, to the person, I can tell you people who periodically the mind chatter gets the better of them and they forget to lock the room, the door where they are saying it's okay to come in. You've got to lock that up. Draw a picture. Get some paper, draw a picture of a room with a big lock on it. Picture yourself drawing some keys and mark that room "Fear and Doubt". This is your home for Fear and Doubt.  But as of today, this very moment, you're going to lock that door. And you're going to take that key and you're going to throw it into the woods, you're going to throw it into the ocean. And when you're doing that you are saying: I give you no more power to exist in me today and for the rest of this incarnation. I am free of this fear. I am free of the doubt. It has no home here. I am free. Now you may have to do that gentle friends, over and over and over again. But in the end you will win. Always. Because it was never attached to you in the first place. You already had all the love, all the acceptance, all the non-judgment, all the joy is your birthright in the human form as your soul entered that form. You were complete at that moment. All the rest is an add-on. It's an addendum. It has nothing to do with who you are. Now you didn't know you were building the room to hold the fear and the doubt. Because we were born into a world that segregates out humanness and replaces it with fear and doubt. I remember watching a movie...it was something out of India or Indian...I forget who it was. But I remember Professor Godbole when James Fox is running around and saying: I can't find my tie pin and all... And he says: I have to get to the court because she's up in the trial and all that. And Professor Godbole said: What are you going on about? He said: I have to be there. I have to help. And Godbole stopped him and he said: Young man what makes you think that you have anything whatsoever to do with the outcome of this trial? It has it's own life and it will proceed down that road.

Alfred:
That's a really good point is one of the most important aspect we're taught as human is that "you" are the person who is in control of your life, "you" are the person who can get what you need to serve out of this life. That is a very human thought. That is a very separating thought. In that line of thought you are separating yourself from the humanness you have yourself. And God's going to say: Okay great. If you think you've got it figured out, go for it. We're just going to hang back here and relax.

Hans:
Exactly.

Alfred:
And as many of you know spiritually speaking, the complete opposite is to surrender the outcome. So what we're doing is we're pointing out that the reason fear and doubt exist in your life is because there is an aspect of your life that is human and simply consider applying a spiritual principle in that area such as control and surrendering.

Hans:
Lock the door. Because the greatness of your spirituality far exceeds any power that any mind chatter, fear or doubt could ever have over you. When we say to you: Not my problem - we don't mean to insult you. What we're saying is your problem that you're going through is made up by you. It is not my problem. I don't wish to be upset by what you're doing. Why are you doing that? I had the pleasure to speak to a woman yesterday. She was so caught up in fear and doubt that it had literally destroyed all the possibilities in her life. She never took a partner because her mother once said: Yes, but they can leave you. Because her father did. She never got a good job because her mother said: It's a shame you're going to have to find a man someday to take care of you because you're just not bright enough. She bought that. 57 years of it. None of it was true. None of it will ever be true. But she provided a space. In other words she built a house from that sadness, that pain, that doubt to live in. And she made certain that she fed that by proving that nothing had happened good for her and what she couldn't see was that she had never allowed anything "good" to happen for her. She became a victim of her own consciousness. And when I tried very hard with Spirit to remove it, she tried very hard to put it back in place. For those of you who are healers and teachers, for those of you who work in the work that I work in, Alfred works in, sometimes folks, people have built such large homes to house their fear and doubt that you couldn't knock them down with a bulldozer. Alfred you know this to be so.

Alfred:
If you identify with it, if you think it is you, if you think you're past makes up who you are, there's really nothing we can do to help you.

Hans:
No.

Alfred:
That's it. If you understand that your past is simply that - the past. It is nothing more than a memory, if you understand that your past has made you stronger, built your character, be grateful for your past - but it is not where you are. Where you are is in the moment. Then you have a place to move out of that to say: No, this is where I am. That does not exist. It is not who I am. I am where I am in the moment. Those things are now are not me. I have choice. And that's what we're trying to teach you.

Hans:
Okay, that's very good. Just hold it there for a second. Choice. Alfred do you know that most people don't believe they have a choice out of fear and doubt?

Alfred:
Because we're not told we have choice...

Hans:
Correct.

Alfred:
We're told you have to drink Coke and... And I just saw on a commercial today the newest thing - exercise your face to look younger.

(Hans laughing)

Alfred:
You have to look younger so you have to exercise your face.

Hans:
Yes, that's it.

Alfred:
You have to look slimmer, you have to earn more money, your car has to be newer. Are you tired of driving that boring old car?

Hans:
Oh my goodness...

Alfred:
Wouldn't you want a nice new car to show everybody how successful you are?

Hans:

Isn't that funny how we're taught from Day 1, and as most of you know I have a soapbox for this, we're taught from Day 1 - we're not quite good enough. Here's what we have to do. We have to eat Wheaties so we look like an athlete. We have to have our hair colored so we can look like the gal on the box of Clairol. We have to look and dress a certain way. Our bodies have to be a certain way. Folks, 99% of all people age and there really and truly isn't much you can do about it but watch your eating, exercise and be sure that you have a good mental attitude. Our friend Joan Rivers, whether you like her or you don't like her, has actually gotten better with age. She truly has. She's at the absolute height of her career. And for those of you who've ever watched, I think it was in 2011 or 2012, her movie - it's amazing because she is without a doubt what many of you are - Survivors. She doesn't have a place in her heart to say she can fail. I want every one of you to not have a place within you that says: I'm not good enough. You know one of the biggest products that we have out that reaches more people than anything we do is: You Are Enough. Why? Because most people don't know that's true. There is nothing you're ever going to do for the rest of your life that  will ever make you better than who you already are. You can dress differently. You can live in a big house. You can have lots of money. But it all goes away one day folks. It all goes away. And what you are left with is the essence of you. Just a divine baby angel who came to visit in the human form. You are eternal. You are love itself. You are the radiant aspect of the Spirit in human form. Therefore what you want to always understand is that Spirit is your Source. Spirit is walking with you. Spirit is holding you. Spirit is saying gently to you: Mmmmm, you deserve better than that. You see? You deserve better than that. Don't build a room or a house for fear and doubt. Build a house of love, acceptance. I am enough. Not only for today but forever. I had an interesting experience Alfred today. I had a wonderful client who had called and in speaking with her, she was still caught up in her childhood and her teens and early 20's with her family. She was so caught up with this that she actually believed that she was still in that although the parents, the grandparents, they were all dead. They were all gone. They were all back in the Other Side. But she was still living in the pain, in the doubt, in the fear, the anger, the resentment - she was still in that place screaming out: Why? Why? Why did that happen? Look what happened to my life. Rather than say: Whew! Wow, I'm glad I'm out of that! I'm not going to let that come into my life anymore. That was then. I'm not that person. I'm a different person. I'm this person here. A person in love, in light, of myself. Now folks, many of you actually believe the pain in your life. You believe it. But if you stop for just a moment and you say: You know, let me think about this for a minute. Why am I still in pain over something that happened 25 or 30 years ago? You see, you're in it because you built the house for it to stay. You built the house for it to live and you feed it continuously. And until you stop feeding the pain, the disappointment, the fear, it will continue to live in the house that you have built that you don't know you built. Alfred, I think that will conclude the lesson for today.

So without further ado, I present to you the Modern Day Mystic himself Hans Christian King.

Hans:
Hello everyone, how are you? Nice to be with all of you. Alfred, I think we forgot to mention the topic for the day.

Alfred:
Well it's sort of an interesting topic Hans. How would you like to describe it?

Hans:
How does a spiritual being live in a world that seems so violent? What do you think?

Alfred:
That's pretty much it. What we were talking about before the show was all the violence that's going on in the world. Whether it's in Russia, Somalia, Israel,  Palestine...all the violence that's going on. How do you deal with that in a spiritual sense?

Hans:
Well the most important thing everybody to realize is remember when I taught you for years that: They themselves are makers of themselves. There's a reason to teach you this. What you see going on in the world today, in our country, in Russia, the Ukraine, some African countries...what you're seeing is a man-made illusion. Is there pain? Absolutely. Is there suffering? Absolutely. Man's inhumanity to his fellow man is shocking at best. But remember that you're just a baby angel having a human experience. And the only way, the only way you can be hurt by this is if you open yourself up to the appearance of the pain. What you can do is Bless it. You can take your energy, add your light, your energy and send it out into the world and say to Spirit: Please use this energy to try to heal, to try to help. Remember that Spirit and the Godforce are working tirelessly every single day trying to bring harmony and peace. Now you say to me: Well Hans it doesn't seem to be working. On the contrary, my good friends, it is working. Many of you don't remember that just 70 years ago the world literally tore itself apart. 200,000,000 people died. Not 5,000 here, or 3,000 there. We lost in World War II 456,000 boys and girls. We lost another 50,000 in Korea. We lost another 48,000 people in Vietnam. So it's getting "better". What we have today that we have today that we didn't used to have is social media. We have instantaneous... You can take a picture now and literally send it around the world. So it's constantly up in our face. Are there tragedies? You're darn right there are. Of course there are. But you don't have to be part of the drama. You can send your healing energy to help others. Send love to help others. You can make a difference every single day. But the most important thing you must do is to close yourself off from the affect of the pain. For instance, this Mr. Foley who unfortunately suffered a tragic ending at the hands of people who are past whatever a human being should be. That's just my own personal opinion. Past it. There's no rational good that can come from an act like that. And my heart has gone out to him. My heart has gone out to his family. Surround that family in love. Surround them in light. Alright everyone? But it's getting better. It's so much better now than when I was a young man. When I was a young man we were waiting for nuclear bombs to fall on Los Angeles. And we were trained to duck and cover. We had to drop where we were, crawl under something. We had drills. Atomic Bomb drills. So it is better. But the world is also getting more sensitive. We're finding that people now are far more sensitive to these situations because it's so much up in your face everyday...between the News and Facebook and Twitter and YouTube and all of this stuff is everywhere all the time. This is one of the reasons that we had the  show the other day which we talked about constantly being on-line. Because you're constantly being bombarded with what's wrong. Alfred, what's your opinion on what we've been talking about?

Alfred:
One thing is I was just having a discussion with one of the Tele-seminar hosts that you're going to be on next month and his question to me was: Why do bad things happen to good people? How can you make sense out of tragedy? And I said: It's not obvious. But basically it resides on the Law of Free Will. God does not stop bad people from doing things. Because there is the Law of Free Will. You have the ability to do whatever you choose here.

Hans:
Yes, but God does encourage them not to do bad things.

Alfred:
Exactly. God tries to sway or persuade people “from” doing bad things. However, God, according to the Law of Free Will, cannot interfere with individuals decisions or actions. On the other hand, for those people who are doing good, God lends energy, God lends support, you get positive karma. Likewise if you do bad things well there's negative karma and you have to deal with that eventually. But nowhere in there is that God or Spirit have the right to stop anything that people are doing. So unfortunately, bad things just happen. But without the support of Spirit. And unfortunately there are sometimes where good people just bump up against a mean person. It was not coordinated, God had nothing to do with that happening. It's just some people were in the wrong place at the wrong time. So you can't look into everything that happens and try to find meaning. Sometimes the meaning is: Yeah, there's just mean people in the world.

Hans:
Alfred, that's very important what you just said. Trying to find meaning out of insanity will drive you crazy.

Alfred:
You know, why are mean people... Well if you take western culture to the extreme - I got mine, you got yours - I'm going to get mine as much as I can possibly get. I think there was a quote that we uncovered about a year or so ago Hans is that: All the problems in the world are because of greed.

Hans:
Um hmm.

Alfred:
So much of the world would be so much better without greed. But unfortunately we teach the world...

Hans:
How to be greedy.

Alfred:
...how to be greedy. And how to be violent in order to be greedy. So is there anything really wrong? No. There's just some mean people in the world.

Hans:
Again it goes back to what we teach. You were talking about free will. We have a choice. Most people who are doing wrong, know they're doing wrong. But they do it anyway, out of greed or lust or whatever. But Alfred, for those people who are overly sensitive, or older souls, how would you approach them as far as protecting themselves from all of the media and the hype and the social media about all that's wrong. What would you advise them to do?

Alfred:
Well, two things. Number one, don't watch TV.

(Hans Laughing)

Alfred:
I don't watch TV.  I refuse.

Hans:
Well you don't watch the News.

Alfred:
I don't watch the News. Occasionally I'll watch movies and very selectively. Lately I've been very picky about the movies because I don't want to see the violence. Just meaningless violence on television.

Hans:
What was that we went to see the other day?

Alfred:
Oh my God...

Hans:
And were absolutely appalled...

Alfred:
Awh, Expendables, the latest one. Just pure... If you want to know why people don't like the image of America, go see Expendables and you see that they make it wonderful to kill people.

Hans:
Yes.

Alfred:
It's a good thing...that you're accepted.

Hans:
And not just a few, Alfred.

Alfred:
You're accepted into the group. You're part of a family if you go kill people on the other side of the world. That's the image that Hollywood portrays. Now again is there anything wrong? No, that's for people who want that stuff and obviously spirituality is a choice. So point number one, just don't see those movies, just don't watch the News. Are you going to miss anything? No. I haven't watched TV in 15 years and I don't miss it. Point Number two, if there is huge amounts of violence, have no judgment, have no opinion. If you think something is wrong, you have a judgment and you have an opinion. One of the fundamental principles of spirituality is: Have no judgment. Have no opinion. Things just are.

Hans:
And they are working themselves through.

Alfred:
Yes, and as Hans says: Whenever there is Spirit, Spirit has no judgment of the people. And that allows you to have one of the most difficult lessons to achieve, one of the most difficult lessons is to love “everyone” regardless of their actions. If you have an opinion or a judgment of something that someone did, it is very, very difficult to love that person. However, if you separate the soul from the person's actions and say: I have no judgment of your actions. But I love everyone just the same as Spirit does, as God does, as the sun shines on everyone equally.

Hans:
I do think Alfred probably many people will say: Well how can you not have a judgment? How can you not feel bad about what Hitler did? How can you not feel bad about what happened to China in World War II?  How can you not feel bad? And I would say to you: Wherever there is an action there is a reaction, folks. Nobody, but nobody could condone the kind of violence that has been happening. But it is getting better and it will be around for some time as long as man is greedy, as long as man is not whole and complete, there will be people who bring harm to others. But the original question was: How do "we" as spiritual beings distance ourselves from the pain? It is literally by not letting it in. You can choose each day, as I do, to surround myself in pure white light, each day, just like I say just wrapping myself in Saran Wrap and saying: Please bring light into that would bring darkness around me today. And opening myself up to all the possibilities for the day. Remember I said the word "possibilities". And I also say: Please lend my energy to the healing energy for the planet and for the people on it. Okay? And remember, today will be ancient history a hundred years from now. And nobody who was here then will ever quite understand what was going on. And as we become more enlightened, as spirits in human form, less violence will occur. And we are working on that. But there are still dark elements, dark forces, out of the dark place in the human scene that will continue to cause trouble for hundreds of years to come. But still I say to you: It is getting better. But you do not have to allow that pain into your heart. This question came from a friend of ours in New York: How does a spiritual being manage to get through this world without being literally knocked sideways by the appearance of the violence in the world? And so I hope folks that you understand that you do have, you do have an obligation to yourself to not allow yourself to absorb this pain. With Alfred, I no longer listen to the News. I no longer read the Newspaper. And what's funny is if  you take those things away and you turn your consciousness towards, as Alfred used to say, a flower, or the clouds passing by, or a baby's face, or an older couple walking along holding hands, then you will that the light far outshines the dark. Alfred, you? I sort of throw Alfred into the headlights here (laughing).

Alfred:
There was a channeling session I had a couple of months ago where They addressed this issue to me. And They said: What makes you think anything is wrong? What makes you think that we didn't design your realm to have these extremes? What makes you think all the souls who asked to incarnate to your realm didn't understand already the possibilities and the struggle in order to grow their soul? Think of if as trying to climb Mt. Everest. You've climbed a hill, you've climbed larger hills, you've climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro, and you decided: You know what? I want the most difficult lesson just because it's there...the mountain is there. They know their hands could fall off, they know they could freeze, they know they could die, they know they could get caught in an avalanche... But is there a problem because the mountain is there? Or did the person who decided to climb the mountain willingly acknowledge the mountain and the task in front of them and choose and prepare and plan as we do before we're incarnated.

Hans:
I think Alfred, just holding that particular thought and then when somebody falls Alfred, or an avalanche comes, they talk about the tragedy that occurred on the mountain. And it wasn't a tragedy.

Alfred:
No. It was a choice...

Hans:
It was a self-made event.

Alfred:
It was a choice to come down and to be challenged. So the whole point is that the Other Side sees this similar to Mt. Everest. There is nothing wrong.

Hans:
No.

Alfred:
It's there for those souls who wish to come down to come for advanced spiritual lessons and for soul growth.

Hans:
So you're basically given a choice.

Alfred:
You are given a choice. Everyone has the choice whether to come down to this realms or other realms or not. So is it the problem that these obstacles and opportunities are here or is it simply that we made a choice to be here to experience life on this realm. And if you look at it that way, there is nothing wrong.

Hans:
Alright folks. I know that it sounds like Alfred and I don't care but nothing could be further from the truth. What we're trying to say is: Humanity is given a choice. That choice is to flourish, love, to give love, to accept the beauty of Spirit, the wonder of God in everything that you see. Every action that you have is perfect in every way. But your "reaction" - what people do to be noticed, what they do to calm their rage, what they do in the name of different belief systems, again is unconscionable. But it has nothing to do with you. You bring yourself into the light, you hold yourself in the light and you don't visit websites that have violence in them. You stay away from politics because they're nothing...

Alfred:
You stay away from violent games, violent movies...

Hans:
Stay away from violent games, exactly. They're constantly trying to sell Alfred some kind of a violent game on the internet, which you know is just unbelievable. Alfred, are there any games that are just fun and light-hearted?

Alfred:
Well from one of our listeners in Canada, he plays "Mickey's Adventure". I only play "Driving Games".

Hans:
Yes. Alfred plays...he's currently driving a Ferrari in his game by the way everybody. And he's also named his bicycle "The Ferrari" because...

Alfred:
Yes, because the one-speed beach cruiser is Ferrari Red.

Hans:

Ferrari Red... Find the humor folks in yourself. Love yourself. Go and look at the tweets that Spirit has been putting out. Yes, Hansy's tweeting. And find the joy in simplicity. There is always going to be violence until mankind finally gets it. And we are working towards it. But it may be 300 to 500 years before we arrive there. But in the meantime, know that you can choose to be happy or you can choose to be sad. You can choose to make a difference through positive thinking. You can send loving, healing thoughts to others. Put yourself in that position so when you ask: How can a spiritual being manage to live in a world that's so full of violence? You are not the violence, folks. Raise yourself up and above. Bless anything that you want to Bless. But don't take it in, okay? Don't let it come in. Alright Alfred, I think that concludes the lesson for today.
