Hello everyone and welcome to MODERN DAY MYSTICISM with Hans Christian King. We actually have changed the topic for tonight. The topic for tonight is "The Power of Prayer" and I'm glad to present to you the Modern Day Mystic himself Hans Christian King.

Hans:

Good evening everyone! Thank you for being patient with us. We are in the process of a move and it was just a necessity to move the show to tonight. We're happy to see so many new people who are joining us tonight. Alfred, where are some of those new people from? Does it say on your computer?

Alfred:

We're getting people from all over the world Hans. 

Hans:

Really? Excellent. Well, welcome everybody. Tonight's subject is "The Power of Prayer". You know my friends, from early days, almost all societies teach their children to pray. I believe that prayer is a direct intention to be with Spirit. And I believe that prayer, in and of itself, sort of proves to you that you believe there is something there to pray “to”. In other words there's a consciousness on the other end of your prayer, if you will. And this affords you an opportunity to tell Them what you would the experience of. You know for years I've been trying to change the way people pray. And I've always said: Don't tell Them what you want,  because you're not really certain of what you want. But you can say: I would like the experience of the following please. I had a lady ask me a question the other day at a lecture that I was doing and she said: Hans, how do I pray? How do we pray? You start with the intention to believe there is something or someone, a force of some  kind, listening on the Other Side. You know, because we are Spirit in human form, we are actually speaking to Our Source, Our Base - where we come "from". So that we believe, without necessarily sitting around asking ourself if we believe. When we pray, we're saying to Spirit: I believe that you are there. I believe that you are listening to me, you hear me, I believe that you can facilitate my experiences in life, and I trust and believe you. 

Almost all, as I said earlier, all religions drum into us “The Power of Prayer”. Behind “The Power of Prayer” is the direct intention to be with Spirit. And when that happens, the Spirit lights up. Because They see us returning home. They see us wanting to walk with Them. What Spirit is concerned about, in prayer, is that we should be walking and living in the prayer all day, every day that we are conscious because we are when we sleep. So knowing that we go to Spirit when we have needs is a little bit off-putting to Spirit. They love us unconditionally. But it seems to Them that most of the time we only need Them when we lose control of the outcome of an aspect of our life. Rather than being with Spirit as an on-going thank you - this is what I'm wanting the experience of, thank you this is what I'm looking for, thank you. And then walking just like a chipmunk inside of a glass ball just walking down the road in total belief the ball will move and it does. 

We balance, or attempt to balance, our mind chatter with our spiritual self. And it doesn't work. We always return to Spirit for the knowledge, for the wisdom. We always return to Spirit when all else fails. 

I personally think, and I know Spirit feels this way, that people don't quite understand that it's a "partnership". Not a place to go on Sunday, or on Saturday, or on Friday. God is not found in a Church. God is brought to the Church with the intention of the people. Learning to shift your perception so that you just don't pray when things are at their darkest, but that you have a faith and a belief and a quiet knowing that at all times the Spirit is you - you are the Spirit - it is in you - you are connected to the Source - at all times. You know my hero Yoda spoke of this. It surrounds us. I was watching the Stephen Hawking special on Discovery and I found it interesting that Yoda spoke of the Force as an enlightened thing. That it surrounds us, it permeates all things, it is part of us, we are part of the Force. But Science, in its bizarre understanding, of something that they never knew was there all the time, has named it the Dark Force rather than the Light Force. I find that interesting folks. "The Power of Prayer" always leads us back home again. It's like calling your parents to see if you're still loved. It's like checking with Grandma to see if she still loves you. Prayer should be a living space between you and Spirit "at all times". Not a special event...not a special event that we visit when we're needy. But that we live in it at all times because "we believe". Prayer is wonderful. But prayer in and of itself will not do much for you if you are not in your space. In other words, if you're using prayer as an external means of fixing a human problem that you have created...probably that's not the way to go. When you learn to walk with Spirit on a daily basis, when you learn to make your decisions with Spirit, there's no need for prayer. There can be a Thank You Prayer. Thank you always, thank you for being there for me, thank you for guiding me. Ask yourself this question children. Do you only turn to Spirit at the darkest of times? Or do you so believe in the Universe and in “The Power of Prayer”, the power of you, the power of God, the power of Spirit, that you are the prayer at all times? You are the miracle at all times. My friend Judy T. used to have a card on her license plate that said: You Miracle. You are the miracle you are seeking in life. You are the answer you are seeking in life. You are your own best friend. And Spirit resides within you. We are Spirit in the human form. It is the human frailty of our consciousness that separates us from our Godforce at all times. The Spirit never separates itself from us - Ever. We, on the other hand, continue to separate us from Spirit. And I remember, as a child, I would pray extra-hard for something and Spirit would say to me: Why are you praying so hard? Do you think that we don't hear you? That's your mind trying to justify a need that you have to see if we're still there. We are always there, at all times, in all conditions, in all circumstances. 

"The Power of Prayer" when directed correctly puts us directly in the path of spiritual energy that helps guide us at all times. What I would like to see you do is once you connect with the Spirit at that level of positive prayer, to hold it, don't let the mind chatter re-enter your life, start all the confusion all over again, separate yourself from your Source and then you run away whining and say: I don't feel that the Source hears me. I don't feel part of the Source. Why? Because you disconnected yourself from the Source. It's that simple, my friends. So "being" the Source, "being" the Spirit in the human form, understanding that prayer simply reinforces that connection, that you're not just seeking an answer at a desperate moment, but you walk in that truth, you walk in that faith - "at all times". Hearing the Spirit through your own thinking. I was talking to someone, a little while ago, and they said because they didn't follow their thinking they got themselves in trouble. Well thinking with a spiritual imprint that they could feel the Spirit move but they used their own mind chatter to interfere with their truth. Folks, I say to you now and forever - you are never absent from the power of God - ever, not ever. It isn't that you pray and you get a Godly return, thought. The Godly Force, the Spirit Force is in and around you at all times but your mind is so busy disconnecting you from that beauty from that Source. 

You want to pray for something? Pray to yourself to stop the mind chatter. Because once you stop the mind chatter, your life flows "naturally". Because you are in the Spirit, you just flow beautifully with the Spirit at all times. I will probably be known, when I'm long gone from this plane - he tried to help them shift their consciousness. If I could just help you long enough to help you to see what you do through your own mind chatter to yourself - that would be all I need before I leave the planet. Because once you connect with that awareness, everything in your life begins to fall in place. Remember your mind, and this is hard for a lot of people to understand because it's so simple, your mind is literally creating your life at every single moment that you are awake. Everything that is coming towards you is being created out of your own consciousness. Your mind shifts your perception. One person can look at a dandelion in a beautiful lawn and say: Oh, there's a weed. And another person can look at the dandelion and say:Talk about surviving. Look at that beautiful flower in that lawn. How did it do that? Because it had determination and belief that's how. All of us have been walking down the street somewhere and seen a flower growing out of a crack between a sidewalk and a building...out of what appears to be absolutely nothing growing out of the crack. That's called "belief". And when you believe that you and Spirit are one, when you learn to control the mind chatter, that's You. Spirit speaks to you that you are part of everything that you see. Yoda used it well when he said: You are part of all of this. You are not separate of this. It is the humanness of mankind that has created the human scene.

Now I want to talk for just for a moment folks...I've got a lot of emails over the weekend about the downgrade of the credit rating. It's not going to hurt you. You're going to be fine. But it's a wake up call that our country, the way it's being governed does not work. We do not have the best system in the world. We do not have the best financial system in the world. We are not able to balance our  checkbook. If corporations or you and I worked like the U.S. Federal Government we would be in Bankruptcy Court. And rather than come out after seeing all of this downgrade by Standard & Poor's, which has not always the best record itself folks...do a little research. It should be a wake up call. We should be saying: Okay, let's all get together. Get the President and the Republicans, the Democrats, the Tea Partiers, all the left-wingers and get everybody together and say: What's best for us? What's best for our people? What's best for our nation? Get the best economic minds in the country together and develop a plan. As of today, on TV, everybody starts pointing fingers all over again. Which was the very same thing that Standard and Poor's said was what was pulling us down. That's "mind chatter" children..."mind chatter". Now because things are going on crazy in this world and the storm is blowing and the winds are blowing... Yes, the U.S. is going through a tough time. It's still the largest economy in the world. We're still the most productive people in the world. Okay? We still have a wonderful, wonderful country. It's sick and it needs some medicine. And we may not like the medicine. I remember when Maggie Thatcher had to come to the British people and say: The country's sick and you may not like the medicine but we have to take the medicine. It's called austerity. And that is probably what we're probably going to have to do is downsize our country and our life in order to gain our power back...our personal powers and our country's powers. That's what we're going to have to do. We don't like it. No matter how they flay in the wind and they say all these things, that's what they will wind up doing. I would say to each and every one of you, in your prayer please remember you are not part of what is happening. If you sit in your own space and always simply say to Spirit: I know I am One with Thee. All that I require already "is". Now when you do that, rather than your mind chatter tell you what job you have to have, or that you're unemployed, or you're never going to get through, or my God I'm going to lose my home, what is going to happen? Rather than allow that kind of thinking you sit in a space that says: I know I am loved. I know am being taken care of. I know I am in a perfect space. 

There are many people out there today folks, on this abundance kick. Okay? Try this thing, try something else... I've watched these things and I mentioned this the other night. I've watched these things for my entire life. But there is only one simple truth - If you want prosperity - "Be It". That is all the power that you need. Many people need an external force to give them permission to "be". When you pray to Spirit, don't ask Them for anything. Just say: I'd like the experience of this if this if for me. Thank you for the abundance that keeps me going day by day. No matter what it looks like I know I am loved, I know I'm  taken care of - at all times. 

There is an island in the Caribbean that is in the direct path of most of the major hurricanes that come through. There is a parrot on that island that has survived for thousands and thousands of years. But nobody knows "how" it survives when the hurricanes come. Because the trees are completely stripped, things are pulled out, there's no hiding, there's no caves, there's no nothing...but after the hurricane goes through and the island is naked, the parrot is still there surviving and has survival skills when there isn't a branch that has a leaf on it or any food. How does the parrot do that? It's very simple - because it never knew it couldn't. 

And when you understand there's no way you cannot be loved, there is no way you cannot be Spirit, there is no way God is an external force that you have to run to with a prayer book. No, no. "You are the answer you are seeking." At all times, children. You're not separate from the power of God. If you understand that prayer is a wonderful acknowledge of your place in Spirit...that when you pray every morning, every evening, whenever you pray, you're just simply affirming the wonderfulness of all that you already are. The experiences that you choose are entirely different issues. Somebody said to me: Well, I'm losing my house, my job, my car, my husband left me... What should I believe in? I said: You. Those are external things. Those come and go. Houses come and go. Husbands come and go. Children always leave. But you, your consciousness, your Spirit always is, always has been, will forever be Spirit in human form having a human experience. 

For instance, let's say the young lady wishes to be a cheerleader. So she goes to school and she tries out for cheer-leading and she gets the cheer-leading and then she has to get the costume and the pom-poms and the outfits, go to training... In that process she says: I'm a cheerleader. No, she's not. She's a Spirit having a human experience she chose. That's all. But in our consciousness, in the human consciousness, we become the accountant, we become the cheerleader, we become the race car driver...we become all these things. And in the end, we're always disappointed because they're always taken from us...with time. Always. But the one constant children, the one constant that never varies, never moves, is the power of Spirit and love - ever. That's the one thing that never changes. Remember what I said to you: In the end, all that will have ever mattered is how you loved, how you allowed yourself to love. That's it. 

Let's say that that you have a balcony. And let's say you love flowers but there's just no room. So you get yourself a couple of pots and you go down to the nursery and you get a couple of little plants that you know bloom all summer or in California you get some Pansies or Violas - they bloom all winter. And you put them in there just for the love of watching the manifestation of the beauty. That's you. The flower isn't the pot. The flower isn't the dirt. But yet somehow they grow and they make beautiful music, okay? 

So praying should be your intention to once again connect with your Source. You are not "humans having a spiritual connection". You are "Spirit having a human connection". Big difference. So what you're praying for is what you don't realize you have already - the Source Energy. The Source Energy is you sit in the Source Energy.  Abundance is sitting in the Source Energy. I'm doing some new CD's, some new materials on Abundance. Alfred, are we going to premier these on Jenneth's show? They're coming out very shortly.

On Thursday. Okay. So we've got a whole bunch of wonderful new products coming out. Wonderful new CD's and MP3's and different things. I'd like to personally extend my heartfelt gratitude and thank you to Jennifer for being such a big help with this. 

People become the Source Energy when they stop the mind chatter. I cannot tell you children how many times I've heard people say this: Where was it all the time? You were in the way of your own Source Energy. You were in the way of your own prayer. You are “The Power of Prayer”. But when the mind separates you from that Source, from that Force, then you're left to what the mind creates. And what the mind creates separates you from the Source and “The Power of Prayer”.

Now I'm going to have to end early today because we have a, shall we say a plethora of questions tonight. Do we not Alfred? Oh by the way Alfred I wanted to ask you if it's time for us to have a Questions Only Evening? 

Alfred:

Yes. We have so many new members that we're going to go back to doing something that we have done before - which is schedule a Members Only Evening.
